This shop can do it all from basic classic car repairs, rear ends and diffs to all out race cars, street to track they have a wide range of awesome stuff in the shop and coming and going. The knowledge they have and ability to problem solve is amazing, Patience and understanding is what Bry and Current auto is great at, on top of repairs and modifying cars.We brought them a project truck that was just going to be some repairs for road worthiness and a Holley EFI swap, oh did this turn into a rabbit hole, none of which is the shops fault. We had some suspension work done at a shop nearby and Bryant and his team were very happy to coordinate the work they were doing with the other shop. They even helped move it across the street to the other shop. That's unheard of today. We spent a considerable amount of time trying to figure out issues that came up due to the other shops' work. We found out that the 260k engine was quite lacking in compression and needed replacement or rebuilding. We decided to rebuild it and snuck in some mods to get a little more performance and help with today's needs ( ssh don't tell my wife). I take full responsibility for the next part. I had done some research before sending Bry the truck and bought a Holley 4 barrel and intake manifold to go with the engine, turns out that combo sucked and was too much for the 250 I6 engine. I was led astray by my research and opinions of others. We fought and fought with tuning issues for a crazy long time. We sold the 4 barrel and switched to a 2 barrel Holley and still had issues, we then swapped to another intake manifold and things got better. Bryant was calm and patient during all this and went way above and beyond dealing with these issues. During all of this process we have added things to do and improve and mostly listened to his recommendations on what steps to take next. While we have our super rusty family truck back and are finally excited to be able to drive it and enjoy a little bit of it we are extremely grateful for Bry and the shop. I 100% recommend Current Auto Performance to anyone and everyone, just dont be like us and suck all the shops time up in the rabbit holes. Listen and follow guidance of those who know.

I googled the prices compared to the invoice and theirs was the same as online and even cheaper on some items. There are a lot of shady shops out there. I'm telling you- this is not one of them. I'll be bringing it back for a supercharger and some other upgrades/all routine maintenance in the future.

They also coordinated and scheduled my rental car pickup and drop-off with Enterprise, which made everything incredibly easy and stress-free. Their customer service throughout the entire process was phenomenal. The repair work was terrific. When I got my car back, it looked brand new. While I was there, I also had my windows re-tinted, and they did an excellent job with that as well. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the quality of the work, communication, and customer service. Three weeks ago, I went out for an early drive with my 2016 GT3 RS. It was still dark out and an…read moreobject flew and hit my bumper causing it to crack as you can see in some of the photos I uploaded. I heard subtle sound and as I pulled off to the next exit my stomach sank seeing the damage. I quickly drove back home and contacted my friend that has a clear bra shop and he recommended Mark at Philip Thearles Autowerks. I got Marks number and gave him a call. He really helped me through the whole process and made me feel much more comfortable then what I was anticipating. Mark answered all my questions and gave me everything for the next step. Truly this was the best person to handle my situation since I do not trust really anyone. This car has been with me for 10 years and it holds a special place for me. I never dealt with this before on such an expensive vehicle. Fast forward Mark was kind enough to pick up the car, send me the estimate all within a few hours before the end of the day. He also had the bumper(main damaged area) off and checked to asses any other damage that could not be seen. He submitted everything to the insurance and I really did not have to do anything other than a phone call to my insurance and a couple emails. Following the next week the parts were ordered since the approval was done. I got text and picture updates of everything that was happening. I really appreciated this as I like to document the whole process. You really can tell Mark and his shop care about customer service and making you feel at ease. What I can say about the final end of the repair since a new bumper had to be ordered and repainted in Lava Orange. It looks like nothing happened! It looks better than Brand new. The paint matches exactly the rest of the car. Another thing that I was a bit worried but as you can see in some of the photos, you cannot tell the difference. When the car was ready I got a nice tour of the huge facility that is state of the art and they are Porsche certified! I am truly thankful for Mark and the shop getting this done within less than a month. I really do appreciate the whole process. No one wants to go through this but Philip Thearles Autowerks is the place to go for your automobile repairs / body shop.

Action Cylinder Heads has been my new go to mechanic for any major repairs for about the last one…read moreyear now. Richard, the owner, offers great prices, quality work and a lot of useful automobile knowledge to share. I have no worry when I'm about to depart for a long roadtrip because I know Action ensures my vehicle is running safely and how it should be. If you ask around town, you will not be surprised when people tell you how great this place is. The place has a very good reputation and you will feel good about coming here and spending the money you worked hard for. I bought a cool traveling/camping van with a poorly maintained motor in it so it needed to be rebuilt or replaced. Action informed me that motor had too many coolant/oil leaks and it was not worth rebuilding. Fortunately for me, Action had a rebuilt, same year, GM 5.7L 350 motor already rebuilt and ready to go. By the second day of the project, it was ready to be put in the van. Richard and his staff took great care installing the engine. On this van, the whole front end had to be taken off to replace the engine. Everything was put back correctly and undamaged. Several months later it was determined the transmission needed replacement due to a never ending leak. Richard was able to quickly get in contact with his partner at East County Transmissions that rebuilds transmissions. Within less than a week, I received an excellent transmission rebuild with a 36,000/3 year warranty. Due to the age of the vehicle, over time some non-serviceable parts got old and it was necessary to replace. Within a reasonable time, Richard was able to knock out my Heater Control Valve, Windshield Wiper Motor, Belt and some other parts/sensors. In certain cases, I didn't even pay for installation! Richard has good references for things he does not do. He referred me to an excellent stereo shop (Stereo Depot in El Cajon) and another quality body/paint specialist! They have taken better care of my girlfriend's G6 than Goodyear. Action's mechanic noticed an important hose was torn causing dirt to go into the engine. Action was able to get the part from the dealership there within the same day! Action strives on installing only quality parts preferably made in the USA. The G6 drives like new after our recent tune up. I absolutely love this place. I'll come here as long as I'm around.

When I call, they get back to me. I always know what's going on with my car. I also want to specifically call out Margaret, who handles insurance claims after an accident. She's really efficient, which means you get your car back as quickly as possible with as little drama as possible.
