We always enjoy walking through these stores--there's something interesting around every corner, and the wide selection makes it easy to discover new products or stock up on favorites. On this trip, we were also trying to keep our everyday costs down while traveling. We're staying in an Airbnb that has a coffee maker and provides basic coffee, but we prefer flavored coffees. From past visits, we knew that US Foods Chef'Store carries an impressive selection of coffee syrups, with far more variety than you'd typically find at a regular grocery store. Rather than spending $5 to $7 each day on coffee while out and about, we planned ahead and stopped in to pick up a bottle of syrup to use during our stay. It turned out to be a simple and cost-effective solution. The store was easy to get in and out of, and the only real challenge was narrowing down our choice from the many different syrup flavors and brands available. Overall, this stop was quick, efficient, and exactly what we needed. Shipping heavy stoves is very expensive, and occasionally he has to adjust the shipping prices. I know from experience crazy amounts of duty and import charges can occur and at times likely he has absorbed costs to make them as affordable as possible for people. SilverFire also does great humanitarian work; check out their website pictures and videos. Google Youtube videos for accurate reviews of this company and their products and you'll see that these stoves work great and are perfect in this COVID day...perfect for off-grid cooking and emergency water and food prep, etc. They also sell things like solar lanterns, really quick boiling kettles, solar ovens (I have one that I use in sunny California), etc. I also own the scout stove and that's my fave quick little one that works super efficiently.

I like that I can buy the bulk containers of spices, as they fit in my cabinets easier than smaller ones. I've been organizing my kitchen recently, so it was time to stock up and we made a trip in here. They have tons of other stuff as well. They have the coffee syrups I use. My brother always buys his in here, as they are cheaper than most stores. They have a great selection of meats and cheeses. I love the fact they carry Tillamook cheese. Again, bonus points from me there. I'm always watching prices on things I know I'll be buying in the future, but don't need right there. When shown it was a whole rack that was clearly labeled according to the employee mislabeled probably by one of their customers and they would not honor their mislabeling. Everything seems to be slightly overpriced for what you get and the attitude of the workers is one that is more concerned about their rules and their policies of how they ring things up versus serving their customers. They are perpetually correcting customers who tried to put a couple of items on the stainless steel counter for them to ring up. No, you have to leave them in your cart and they have to move them and they're really quick to correct you and not in a nice way. If this is the only place you can get these items and fine, but there's got to be a better place. I imagine I'll be shopping online after this latest experience. They have driven me out of their store for the last time.
