This place is definitely worth trying! They start you off with warm, fresh bread, which was the perfect way to begin the meal. Everything we ordered was delicious and full of flavor. The pineapple mocktail was refreshing and so good, and the lentil soup was one of my favorite parts of the meal. The entrées were just as impressive, with generous portions and great flavor. Overall, the food, drinks, and service made for a wonderful dining experience. I was visiting from California, and this was one of my favorite meals during my trip. This place was absolutely amazing!! The ambience when you walk in is so fun, the smells are delicious. They have a fairly large menu, couldn't decide, so asked our waiter to make my choice. Not quite sure who our server was as there was a rotation of people helping us, but the same individual who had sat us, I had asked about the menu and portions. I had noticed the pictures on the menu don't fit the portion given. I ordered the Beef Ribs (~$35) and the picture depicted 4-5 ribs. I had asked the server prior to ordering if the portion is accurate to the picture to which we were told yes. The plate came out with 2 ribs, one of which being mostly fat. Some transparency when asked would've been appreciated but other than that please don't advertise portion sizes that aren't accurate. read more

Our server Ruben was also awesome, he made us feel so welcome and was extremely patient and helpful as we tried to figure out what to order as nobody in our party had had Turkish cuisine before. Seriously, we had the halloumi, garlic yogurt dip, and a veggie stuffed pastry (muska) as appetizers. This place is very authentic! My boyfriend is Turkish, so we have tried Turkish restaurants all along the west coast, and this is my favorite. Turkish cuisine is very unique, so if you're expecting Mediterranean or more west Asian/middle eastern foods like you may have had before, it might surprise you. We were very happy this restaurant seems to prioritize authentic flavors and dishes. This restaurant has really amazing service, and a great atmosphere. Definitely "rounding up" on my rating here. Last night's dinner at Constantinople was OK, but definitely not great. The black manhattan drink was way too sweet, gin martini easy and lovely. 4 people, ordered carat tarator (pretty much no one appreciated this dish), imam bayildi (good, love eggplant), arugula parm salad (good) and the kebab assortment. Several bites of the kebab assortment had some sort of gristle and for the most part, all meat was quite well done (as in way thoroughly cooked). Both sauces were tasty, as were the rice/onion/cabbage accompaniments, but oddly enough they didn't provide any sort of utensil to serve the rice or other items which was a little awkward. Maybe we could have ordered better, I dunno. Probably will give it another go in a few weeks trying alternative menu choices. I've been to Turkey quite a few times and so far this misses the mark for my personal Turkish cuisine preferences. read more

I came in with a large group of friends, we ordered the mezza plate, sultans delight, kebab platter and the clay pot lamb. Hummus was bland and grapes leaves tasted like they came straight from a can. Lamb stew with apricots was cooked well but had little seasoning. My spouse and I had to add salt to everything we ordered. Chicken kebab was dry and overcooked. Menu is too long with items like pasta & pizza and an Indian inspired dish, and a stir fry dish. If they focus on some key signature dishes and just season with more salt, that would elevate their dishes. Unfortunately we will not be going back. read more

We tried this new restaurant for our Valentine's date. I loved the menu options; we had the Muska pastry appetizer, Moutanjana, and Sultan's Favorite, and each one was flavorful and delicious. We will definitely get the Pottery Kebab next time, as that came to several nearby tables and smelled amazing while making a very large serving. I will say that the tables are packed together so the experience was not very intimate or private; a fully audible conversation happening on either side makes your own conversation a bit hard to track. The restaurant staff are attentive and friendly in the hospitable Middle Eastern way. We chatted amicably with our waiter about our brief experience in Istanbul. I only found out about Constantinople just recently when it was suggested by a friend that we go there. I am so glad that we did! We were there for lunch and I want to tell you that the food was absolutely phenomenal! We ordered the imam biyaldi, grilled meatballs, lahmacun, and rice pudding and strawberry ice cream for dessert. Before our food arrived we were given their bread (I believe it's called balon lavas) and it was yummy! It's a plus that the restaurant has its own parking. The restaurant was spacious and had such a great vibe to it. The service was outstanding. Our server was so welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be back!
