The food was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The service was special making us feel cared for. One very very picky eater in our group absolutely loved the hummus- warm fresh bread- rice. Absolutely would recommend this place.

This wonderful downtown Syrian restaurant is not to be missed. The service is wonderful, the food is amazing. Huge selection of Middle Eastern tasty delights! I had the chicken Shawarma sandwich which came with a Mediterranean salad, hummus, fresh pita, fresh greens and a wonderful tahini dressing. Very cute space both indoors and outdoors.

We had the most delicious lunch here yesterday. (And since we took half our sandwiches to go, it was a most delicious dinner too.) The sandwiches are available only at lunch. And they come with house made pita bread, humus and a side salad (we upgraded to the tabouli salad.) The sandwiches themselves are in a pita "wrap" and the pita bread itself is light, and delicious. My friend had a chicken sandwich and I had the Lebney sandwich. Both were amazingly tasty. As was everything we had here. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Portland. The restaurant is super cute, and conveniently located right downtown and the service was speedy, attentive and friendly. Super convenient, speedy and delicious! This was a great new find and we cannot wait to return!

Truly some of the best Syrian/Lebanese food I've ever had. Habibi's the perfect spot to grab a quick lunch that won't make you hit the afternoon slump. I got the mezza meat plate because it gives you a little bit of everything -- trust me you'll want to try it all! The meats (beef and lamb) were savory and tender, the hummus paired perfectly with the main meats, falafel were crispy and not dry, and the tabouli and grape leaves balanced out the whole meal. Everything was so fresh and delicious and the service was excellent. If you're worried about the afternoon slump, get the Lebanese coffee, it'll definitely wake you up. It's served piping hot and has a sweet but strong dark roast flavor. It reminded me of Vietnamese coffee but a little less sweet. Definitely bookmark this for your next lunch in PDX!

Popped in for a light dinner. They have an a la carte section of the menu, so I got hummus and bread, and one skewer of kafta with a Diet Coke. The hummus was a large portion and some of the best I've ever had, the bread was thin, hot and perfect, and the Diet Coke was in a glass with free refills. All in all, it was exactly what I was looking for! I'm only in Portland maybe once a year, and this will be a definite stop every time! Don't think about it, just go there and enjoy the great wait staff and outstanding food. You'll thank me, for sure!!

Delicious food, attentive & friendly service, and reasonable prices. I was in town for a conference, and wandered in on a Saturday at 6pm. I was fortunate to score a table by the front window. What a pleasant experience to nosh on baba ganoush and a lamb kebab - while watching the street scene. Right on the Max line, too. One star off for the bathroom. Please give it some attention.

Food was very good. Mujaddarah was a little bland and the lamb shawarma a little chewy but tasty. Chicken and mushroom calzone was a hit!

We didn't have a reservation, but there's was room at the bar alongside the kitchen. That's always the best place to sit because it's like getting a show with dinner. Speaking of dinner, it was excellent. We started with a roasted eggplant dip served with a round, fluffy pita bread. So yummy. Next came falafel with tahina and green S'hug sauce, which gives it a spicy kick. The six falafel balls were light and airy, not dense and dry like lots of falafel we've had in the past. Finally, we ended with chicken shawarma, a wonderful confit chicken dish, nicely seasoned, sitting atop large pita pillow. We just folded it up and went from there. The service was fast, friendly and efficient. They suggest ordering two dishes per person, but you don't need to. Three dishes is plenty (even two) depending on what you get. We washed it down with a pilsner beer and homemade blackberry soda. The portions are generous. We'll definitely go back and sample several other dishes.

Seven-spice chicken, crunchy toum-dressed slaw, and a double hit of that garlicky toum. Topped with a pile of fries, just like on the beaches of Beirut. Let's get some bite into it. But even before that you can smell what will hit you next a delicious taste of garlicky sauce. And the first bite confirmed that. A not-too-overpowering garlic taste, followed by the crunchy pickle the salty fries and the delicious chicken patty, makes it an outstanding burger with a really unique flavor profile! Well done. The crunchy fresh Cole slaw give it another layer of freshness. The hole burger is a smart composition. If I'll have to recommend something to. Ale or even better would be to put the slaw on top of the meat. With it being on the bottom half of the bun it makes the bun quickly early soggy but that's is or taking away anything from how awesome the burger is taste wise. About ya hala if you want to make a quick break and vacation into Lebanon without here they play authentic music and have a nice decor putting you directly into a cafe in Beirut. One employee apologized for our "long wait" and offered us extra pita on the house, which was nice, although we honestly didn't feel like we had waited that long. The odd part was that the extra pita was never actually brought out. We didn't care enough to ask for it, but it was strange to offer something and then never follow through. Service overall was also pretty lacking. I tipped in the beginning (you pay before getting your meal) and was expecting decent service, but aside from someone bringing the food to our table, there really wasn't any. We ordered at the counter, got our own water cups and pitcher, and nobody checked on us during the meal. Since you order and pay upfront, it honestly felt like there wasn't much incentive for them to provide any service after. The food had some decent items, but between the underwhelming shawarma and almost nonexistent service, the experience was disappointing.

My first impression as we entered here was: the AC was on, and I'm not ready for AC (yet), and the inside was too elegant, and empty. We waited awhile, when a staff appeared.
