I do not…read moretypically like to write these types of reviews of the medical professions as I work in the field, however after today's experience I hope the nurse will learn from her behavior and others will avoid this office. Today, unfortunately due to a traffic accident I notified their office I would be fifteen minutes late as it was out of my control. Their MA instructed the receptionist I was to reschedule. I do understand office policies however as I have worked in the field, we will fit in most patients if the time frame would have been within fifteen minutes if this patient was not a recurring late patient which I am not. In the past, the situations in which I have asked to speak to a nurse at this office, I have not received much advice or assistant from the nursing staff which led to the provider needing to call me back. Today I spoke to the nurse Tina who was by far one of the most rude, unprofessional, inappropriate nurses I have ever encountered in a provider's office. I have done triage nursing for eighteen years and I would never speak to a patient in the manner she did. Tina acted with an egotistical behavior yet when asked questions, lacked the knowledge to support her statements. She was argumentative, defensive, a poor listener and preferred to be heard instead of listening to the patient which is an important skill in the medical field. As a result, I have filed a complaint with Edward Hospital patient advocacy, I will be following up with her manager, Dr. Emery and BBB due to Tina. I stayed with Dr. Emery over the years even though her staff lacked the knowledge and support over the many years however I am now done. I have read the many negative reviews and did not understand the poor experiences. At this point, now I do. As people realize, the staff can make or break a physician and their success. Unfortunately Tina is a poor example of Dr. Emery and this office.

    This is the place to go to if you want to be treated poorly. The staff lacks empathy, listening…read moreskills, and proper etiquette. When I walked in one of the receptionists appeared short tempted towards an elderly woman that had misplaced products she had just purchased. Little did I know I would be the next victim of their poor customer service, dishonesty, unprofessionalism and short temper. Walked in on Thursday 2/24/22 around 2:50pm, they advertise that they accept same day walk in's at ALL locations. One of the front desk receptionists said their location does not take walk in's. Not sure why they would advertise that when you call if it's not true. I was able to speak to a nurse with dark brown hair, she told me that the doctor could see me but not until 4. I told her I didn't mind waiting but instead of listening to me, she basically decided for me by saying, "no you wouldn't want to wait that long" and insisted, even after I repeated myself a second time that I wouldn't mind waiting if that's the only way I could get a simple prescription change. Next the receptionist ladies were rude, they didn't listen to my situation, instead of taking a moment to listen to understand what my situation was they would interrupt me and talk over me while I was speaking. An African American front desk receptionist handled the situation poorly she took the situation to level that was unnecessary, instead of having empathy she lost her temper and called the cops because I refused to leave when all I wanted was to take a minute after the Dr. was done with the current patient, to ask if she could change a prescription she had given me. The front desk also refused to give me test results from a biopsy that I had at this same location for my first appointment. The entire staff seems very dishonest and unprofessional they say one thing one moment and change it to something else the next and I could be talking to one receptionist and the other one will rudely interrupt. Pinnacle Dermatology give me a call.

    It was my first appointment and I went to reception to check in. First she could not find me, then…read moreshe said "didn't somebody call you - Dawn is sick today?" If I was a no call no show I would be required to pay for the appointment. They did not have enough respect for me to let me know not to come in. Best part the next appointment is not for another month.
