Convenient. That pretty much sums it all up…read more Embassy Suites - a brand under the Hilton umbrella of hotel management, is a predictable place for a night's stay. The hotel focuses on mid-range, family travel; and to this they deliver quite well. If - however - you're looking for a bit more of a destination hotel, pick again. That's not to say the Embassy Suites isn't clean, with friendly and welcoming staff who are always there to help, it is just important to recognize that the hotel is not a destination. It is more of a "means to an end" kind of place.

Stayed here during the World Cup. I can say as someone who…read morecame via train, this location could not be better. Literally the first building you see when you leave the train station and right next to the entrance to the Seattle Stadium. Staff was friendly, though advertising a $9 bottle of Smart Water and giving your guests a complimentary check-in bottle of Dasani feels like a bad choice. Would probably have gone down better to give the Smart Water and advertise it as $9 to give it an added value. My main issue was not being warned before arrival that there was an ongoing strike by employees of the hotel. There was a flyer at the desk at check-in going over it, but no one prewarned us that the striking employees started at 6:30am with drums, a megaphone, sirens, whistles, and shouting. This was fully audible in the room. Due to the World Cup, there was no option to relocate to another hotel. When we left the hotel in the morning of the match, members of the protest got very aggressive and in my face, screaming about checking out and demanding a refund. Again, not a practical option. I have nothing against workers rights, but screaming at people who didn't know and don't have another choice isn't doing any favors. This must have happened more than once, because the front door was locked the remainder of the day and guests directed to other doors. The room was dusty, likely as a result of the strike. The sliding barn doors were insufficient to offer privacy while using the toilet or showering. Breakfast was pretty good. I went with Embassy Suites based on past experiences and convenience and I wish I had been aware of the strike because I would have made different choices. Hilton and Embassy Suites should address the concerns of their employees, if for nothing more than guest experience.

You're presented with a "ticket" to use for breakfast and evening drinks. (To prove you're a registered guest and to track your two drink limit. Make sure to keep it with you!). Fresh made-to-order omelets for breakfast. Omelets were delicious and I'm not an egg fan typically. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, potatoes and sausage available too. Cold cereal, bananas, apples and Greek yogurt also available. Free coffee and tea were located in the far far corner. You walk past the in-house Starbucks to reach the free beverages. If you didn't look, you would assume Starbucks was free and included in breakfast. The bad-"complimentary" evening reception. Food choices were chips with two types of salsa, ranch dip, sweet and salty snack mix, veggies and a "Cajun" snack mix. Complimentary drinks feature off off off brand liquor, couple of beer choices on tap and decent wine (Cab or Chardonnay). Can upgrade your drink for $6 to brand name liquor. There are hot food offerings ranging in price from $15-$40. Also, we're Hilton Honors members. Members with higher status were gifted treat/goody bags that are displayed behind the front desk. I asked at check-in. Don't know if that was a perk or a ploy. Why not have those waiting in-room for higher status members? The ugly - $25 per night parking. A fellow Yelper from 9 months prior to this review indicated $22 a night ? No hot water in the bathroom. The first day, and last day, I heated water in the microwave and cleaned myself in the sink. The room was noisy being close to the airport and the open elevators facing the atrium. So there you have it. My take on Embassy Suites. My hubby would have given the stay four stars. Good thing this isn't HIS Yelp account.

The parking spots are kind of tight and they have one end of the parking lot blocked off (since a lot of the public just casually pass through there). Parking is pricey at $22 for overnight. At the evening reception, the snacks could've been a little more substantial compared to other Embassy Suites (crackers, options of sweet or savory trail mix, cheese, chips), but it did come with 2 complimentary alcoholic drinks. Breakfast had a good variety, but I was a little disappointed to see that their mini muffins and scones came out of plastic packages from a grocery store, rather than being homemade or from an actual bakery. 2025 #8

First, I left a blouse behind in the dresser. I realized this when I got home at midnight and called the front desk first thing the next day. After a 20 minute hold, I was told they couldn't find anything in the lost and found and someone would call me later in the day from housekeeping which is a separate lost and found. Hearing nothing, I emailed the manager email listed on their website with a photo of the blouse and called again. Spoke to a gentleman who told me the same thing as before, nothing in either lost and found, then said they can't go in the room because it's occupied and when the current guest checked out in a week, they could go into the room to check the dresser. It's been 2 weeks and I've heard nothing. Not a big deal, but I wore that brand new blouse once and I know exactly where I left it, so seems to be super easy to just get it and return it to me. The pillows are completely flat. I stacked 3 on top of each other to be able to have some support. The office chair was all ripped up. As a business person who needs a good chair at the desk for working, I put a towel on the chair. Call me weird, it bothered me. The bathroom and hallway tile floor hadn't been mopped well; my shoes were sticking to it the night I checked in. They mopped it the next day when i was away. The soap and shampoo has been changed to Crabtree & Evelyn which is a good brand, but wow is the smell unattractive. Somewhere between cheap men's cologne and Pine Sol. TV remote for the bedroom was missing. Luckily, the one in the living area worked for the bedroom TV. There was a stale washcloth turned grey from the previous guest tangled in the shower curtain which was ripped and missing a ring around one of the hooks. Two visits ago, the digital key wasn't ready when I arrived, so I had to drag my stuff to the front desk to get a physical one. I wasn't offered water which is given to repeat members. Parking has been increased, again. There's construction happening and the road right in front was closed on the first morning leaving for a business meeting. Would have been nice for the hotel to give a heads up for planning. I like the Hilton chain, but I think next time I'm in town, I'll stay at another property.

This review is only for Embassy Apartments. I have written a separate review for the property…read moremanagement company (Northwest Apartments). In August 2018 I was specifically looking to lease a studio flat within a short walk from work. I viewed three units in the building. The first one I viewed was an absolute mess and still under renovation. Out of the three, the unit I rented was in the best condition. When I first moved in, the then resident manager was good, although there was no shower curtain rod in the bathroom and text messages to her concerning this went unanswered. The landlord allows tenants to smoke in their units. The smoke seeped out into the hallway and I could smell it in my unit even with a towel placed at the threshold of my entry door. I am allergic to cigarette smoke and informed the resident manager and management of this. The resident manager sent an email to tenants asking them to open a window when smoking but otherwise did nothing to stop this. The units have old, vertical, wall-mounted gas heaters which make a very loud metallic "banging" sound when they come on. Even with earplugs the loud "banging" would wake me up often. The old heaters also emit a gritty grey dust and fibrous substance. The single-pane sash-type windows are original to the building and let in cold air during winter months. They also allow in dirt from the surrounding streets and alley. Because this building is old, note there are only three electrical plugs in the units. There are two in the main living/bed area and one in the kitchen above the stove/oven. There is no electrical plug in the bathroom. The ads for the units state they have updated cabinetry. None of the three units I viewed had updated cabinetry. In the unit I leased, the bathroom medicine cabinet was clearly original. The cabinetry in the kitchen is also either original to the unit or was replaced in the 40s or 50s. It is far from being upgraded and the online photos of the kitchen cabinets prove it. Thus, this is blatant misrepresentation. Be prepared to pay close to $100.00 in shared utilities. When I first moved in, tenants were responsible for paying for their own gas and were required to open an account with PSE. My gas bill was rarely over $20.00 monthly during winter months; about $12.00 other months. But then, the landlord went to a shared system. I suspect the landlord did this to force tenants to pay for the heating of hot water as units do not have individual hot water heaters. The monthly cost for gas doubled. Also, be prepared to pay $2.75 per wash and per dry for your laundry. This is the most I've ever had to pay in Seattle for in-building laundry services. The location was certainly convenient for work, but the area is filled with homeless people and drug users. I saw used syringes in the alley on a fairly regular basis.

Worst Hampton Stay I've Ever Experienced…read more I checked into the Hampton Inn Seattle Airport hotel at approximately 5:30 p.m. and was extremely disappointed with my entire stay. The hotel had no working internet service and no functioning television service during my stay. The TV displayed nothing but static and was completely unusable. I later learned that hotel staff had apparently been aware of these issues for at least 24 hours before my arrival, yet there was no notice posted, no communication before arrival, and no warning provided at check-in. Had I been informed of these major service outages, I would have chosen another hotel. Throughout the evening, multiple guests approached the front desk with concerns about the internet and television outages. The response from staff was dismissive and uncaring. The attitude seemed to be, "What do you want me to do? There's nothing we can do." While I understand that front desk employees may not be responsible for the outage itself, they should still be trained to communicate professionally and show concern for guests who are paying customers. I also specifically needed a room with a bathtub for medical reasons. I was moved between rooms before finally receiving a room with a bathtub, only to discover there was no bathtub stopper. When I asked for assistance, I was simply told there was nothing they could do. The fourth floor had an unpleasant odor that made the hallway feel unclean, and the overall condition of the property felt neglected. Combined with the lack of communication, lack of working amenities, and lack of customer service, this created one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I have ever had. The most disappointing part was not the outage itself--it was the complete lack of concern shown toward guests. There appeared to be no effort from management to proactively communicate, offer solutions, or make things right. I wanted to check out but they told me I'd be charged for the hotel stay regardless. I travel frequently and stay in hotels throughout the country. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst Hampton Inn experiences I have ever had, and I would not recommend this property to other travelers.
