Stayed at Element SeaTac for work and had an excellent experience all around. The service was outstanding and the property itself was really nice. The huge lobby offered plenty of comfortable spaces to sit, relax, or get work done. Breakfast was complimentary with a solid selection, and the 24/7 coffee and espresso machine was a fantastic perk. My room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with a kitchenette. The water pressure in the shower was great--perfect for a long, hot unwind after a busy day. I made a mistake in my booking and needed a place to stay near SEA-TAC. While not exactly close to SEA-TAC, the rate was very reasonable. The Element is a short walk to stores, Costco, and the US Post Office. The front desk person was amazing. Very friendly and courteous. The bartender was also very friendly and personable. I did order Uber Eats and enjoyed my Din Fung in the lobby. The room was very cozy and I slept well which is saying something. NOTE: There is no shuttle to SEA-TAC - Uber mid morning on a Saturday is going to be about $18.00 read more

Pros: Close to the freeways, the Tukwila mall and SeaTac airport. Clean and modern.Our room had a fridge, microwave and sink. Free coffee, water and tea downstairs and a small convenience shop. Indoor pool and small gym. Small bar available but also closes early Friendly staff Negatives: Their pool hours are not the best. Adults only get one hour at night pretty much. So if you want to unwind on the hot tub after being out in the cold all day, you cant but only after 9pm and before 10pm. Their parking exit wasn't automatic. We had to call each time to be let out. I don't know what that was about but its rather annoying when is raining so hard and windy to be pressing the button. Their business center was pretty much in the communal area and so it would be difficult to attempt to do anything other than browsing your flight on that computer. They would not allow me to check in as I did not have the actual card on me that we booked the room with. My husband is on the road to meet me and has the business card used to boom the room. Even though they had our card *on file* they required the physical card. We called the day before to verify if I as able to check in without him and we were told that would be perfectly fine and never told that I needed a physical card on me. Super frustrating- this information is obviously imperative. Hope no one loses their card between booking and checking in. Only person at the front desk lacks compassion and problem solving- a "too bad for you" attitude. Disappointing and will not be staying here again. read more

The experience was fantastic, with ONE glaring flaw... they have NO AIRPORT SHUTTLE. Very disappointing, especially since including "Sea-Tac Airport" in the description could easily lead anyone to assume they do. Pretty clear that every other hotel in the area has a shuttle, so why wouldn't they? That said, it's really hard to rate them lower because the experience was great otherwise. Front desk folks were fantastic and patient with our questions. The lobby area and amenities were really impressive. Bar was great about being flexible with our order and had a decent beer selection. The saltwater pool and hot tub looked really nice and fun - but too much going on to try them out unfortunately in our one-night stay. As for the room, the king suite with the kitchenette was really NICE. Great layout - felt really modern and spacious. Fully stocked kitchenette had everything you needed to actually cook food and eat it, plus wash the dishes after and store your leftovers in the fridge. The bar-style table across from the kitchenette provided some nice extra seating, but with the couch and desk you had plenty! Bathroom was nice and also felt modern. Bed was comfortable but maybe a little too soft. Nice selection of outlets by both sides of the bed and throughout the room. If they reconsider providing a shuttle, I would 100% stay again, otherwise, ride share and taxis are JUUUUSST a bit to expensive to justify, unfortunately. read more

Check in at 2330 with no snafu's!! Very cordial and offered information on coffee, tea and breakfast hours. We asked for an adjoining room and they accommodated. One of the rooms had a large separate bedroom -a full kitchen and a sleeper sofa bed. The adjoining room had 2 Queen beds-a kitchen and sleeper sofa. It also had a small office area. We all wished each other a Merry Christmas and chose our beds and went to sleep. The bedding was high quality and very comfortable! Everything in both rooms was clean and neat. The bathrooms were spotless. Breakfast was to close at 930 so a couple of us got up and went down to make plates so we could have breakfast upstairs. This breakfast was quite impressive! Fruits, (including berries) juices, cereals, sausage, gravy, biscuits, eggs-bacon-oatmeal, toast, pastries.... And I'm sure I missed some items. We all enjoyed eating upstairs once the boys woke up. We left a good size tip for whomever was assigned our rooms and we proceeded to shower and get dressed for the day. It was rainy and chilly in Seattle, but I was sure we would have snow when we got to our final destination!!!! We would definitely recommend element Seattle SeaTac airport location !!!! read more

This hotel is top notch when it comes to manipulation. If you write a bad review on the flaws they will find little petty ways to try to harass you. They are liars and will "blacklist" guest after they leave just because their staff is unprofessional. They charge for excessive cleaning because they have to do their jobs. We stayed here for nearly 3 months and everyday they were looking for reasons to harass my family; from moving our car at 10pm or using paper plates. (They like to hide and be actors when the owner comes around- hiding all the disposable cups and plates)- it's there everyday literally except when the owner comes around to patrol. I was told that I couldn't extend my stay because of the rooms being booked out but when the company called to ask why even though it shows that there's availability; they stated that the General manager had denied our stay and will cancel it. Kevin is full of crap and went into hiding mode when I called to ask why; they said he call back but never did. It's such a petty thing to do that I have to move my family around multiple times after so long. read more

Recently, I had to make a return visit to my temporary assignment up in Seattle, which caused me to have to do some re-research, if that word even exists in the lexicon. The first time I went up there, I had chosen to stay at Embassy Suites primarily because they offered complimentary breakfast to guests at 6 AM, which was my most important criterion for deciding which hotel to choose. I had chosen a couple other inns as my second and third choices, and if you recall from the ending of my Embassy Suites review, I was hinting at the fact that I'd choose one of those inns INNstead by spelling that word that way lol. Now you might be wondering, why the heck would a 6 AM complimentary breakfast be the most important criterion?? I had to report to my temporary assignment at 7 AM each day I was up in the Pacific Northwest, and it was quite a distance away that if breakfast were to commence at 6:30 AM, I would have had to miss the most important meal of the day each day. Luckily, on this recent trip, the 7 AM requirement was null, and I could afford a later breakfast start time. Also, why choose a hotel that imposes a surcharge on breakfast when others don't? There are probably good reasons depending on the type of guest you are, but for me, I saw no rationale to stay at such a hotel that nickels and dimes on eggs and toast. While quickly searching for hotels, I noticed that the Element offers free breakfast in the morning, but I did not see the time. Since I didn't have to report to my assignment that early, I was willing to assume the risk of a late breakfast, and given that the Element is a relatively new hotel, I figured they were more deserving of my business than any other hotel with hundreds of other Yelp reviews under their belt. On this trip, I tag-teamed with a co-worker, and we stayed at the same hotel. We ended up on the same floor, but somehow, I got a room upgrade, yet she did not. I don't recall the exact reason why my room was not available, but Danielle, the front desk agent, did mention I would get a room upgrade to two beds, and it wouldn't incur an additional cost. A bit of a snafu there, but I can't complain, especially when that extra bed came in handy! More on that later. When we got in an elevator, another guest was already in. I noticed some of the floor numbers also included an R, and that guest explained the R was really for housekeeping, so unless you plan to do some cleaning, don't pick the R! I can't speak for my co-worker's hotel room, but for my room, there was a kitchenette in the near corner, which I didn't really use since I wanted to go out to eat, but it's great to have that option in case you want to stay in. There are only two burners on the stove, and there should be enough supplies to craft your meals! That includes a roll of paper towels and another roll underneath the sink. A TV greeted me by name, though it was already on when I got in. Quite a nice touch! However, there was a door next to the TV that seemed to lead to the next hotel room? Don't worry, unless the door on the opposite side is also open, you won't be able to spy on your next door neighbor. Recall why I said the second bed came in handy? When I went to bed that night, I chose the bed on the far corner, but I could still see the light from the microwave clock. I switched beds, and I could no longer see said light. That light was kind of bright, which I find distracting while trying to get some z's. I enjoyed the breakfast here, which I found out starts at 6:30 AM on weekdays. The only thing I didn't really enjoy were the cheese omelets, and that's only because the omelets I'd get at Embassy Suites had all the fixings. This was just cheese. But really, that's it. Also, I wanted to give a shoutout to one of the kitchen staff members who noticed I had forgotten my umbrella before I started to take off. I would have remembered because it was raining, but I definitely appreciate him looking out for me! Other common areas include a fitness center, swimming pool, bar, and an outdoor patio, which includes a couple of fire pits. The hallway adjacent to the swimming pool can be wet even when nobody is in the pool, so just be mindful and watch your step. The hotel isn't too far from Westfield Southcenter, but it'd be a long walk. Overall, I liked this hotel a lot better than Embassy Suites. I turned down an offer of creating a Hilton Honors account at Embassy Suites. However, here, they made a Marriott Bonvoy account automatically for me, which is kind of shady, especially since they had my address as Seattle, WA lol. That caused an issue when trying to log onto my account, but after calling customer service, I didn't have a problem. They did offer to delete the account, but since I liked my stay at Element, I chose to keep it for now. Hopefully my next visit to a Marriott hotel will be just as good! And within the next 2 years because apparently, it takes that long for points to expire due to inactivity. read more

This location is perfect for the airport a simple 10 minute drive and the shuttle service is wonderful. I will stay and try as many elements as I can while traveling. It's a great hotel. It's close enough to Seattle to be an easy drive in, but far enough away to be relaxing once you leave the city. They have all the amenities. Complimentary breakfast, a coffee bar, evening happy hour with appetizers to order, and bottles of local wine for purchase. Their parking lot is spacious and quiet. I've never stayed at an Element Hotel before so was curious about the experience. The rooms were honestly very good, extremely big and spacious while being very modern (it seemed like everything was just renovated). I especially appreciate how many seating areas there were in the hotel as I feel like usually there's maybe a sofa chair and a desk chair, that is it. However, they had a whole sofa as well as a bench underneath the TV that had access to all the streaming platforms which was very nice. They also offer complimentary breakfast which is quite nice of them although I wasn't the biggest fan. The breakfast potatoes were quite good but I felt like everything else was a bit dry and you definitely need to have some kind of condiment to finish it. The gym was really nice though, they even had a lot of weight-training items. Honestly, very impressed with Element especially in terms of hotel size and how new/modern it was. Will definitely be staying here again if ever in the Seattle area. read more

I am a Marriott elite member, so my comparison takes into account my experience with Marriott properties in general, and the industry as a whole. This hotel scores points for being new, the latest technology and that everything works. The Element format caters to those that appreciate efficiency mixed with modern designs and some pretty nice overall offerings. I love the gym, pool and fire pit outside. This particular location though has an issue with its bar/food amenities. Both nights I was here, the bar was either not open (because nobody showed up) or had limited food opinions because they did not have certain ingredients. On the one night the bar was open, that little fact killed 1/2 the menu. The Manager was gone most of the time, attending to anything but his customers. He also clearly did not really care about his customers or engage with them in any way. He also had no idea how to make anything but the most basic drinks. The bottom line for this location is do not count on the bar & restaurant being available or having offerings you counted on. The rest of it o would give a 7 out of 10. Happy travels! read more

So, had to go to the front desk and listen to the guy chat with other guests for about 5 mins first. Then when he got to me, no real greeting, just checking in? Nothing about upgrades or anything. The rooms are decent, I had a King Suite with a separate living room space with a kitchen. Newer look, but nothing impressive. The beds - completely opposite of the other hotel that we stayed at. These beds I began to sink in, TOO SOFT! Are those supposed to be pillows?? They shrunk to nothing when laying on them. The cleanliness of the room was sub par. My daughter didn't want to shower even with her shower shoes because the shower was dirty. YIKES! FREE BREAKFAST- Ehhhhh, nothing I'd run home to tell anyone. The eggs were burnt, not a little toasty, BURNT. Honestly, I would serve these things to my own family, like WHY MARRIOTT?? Parking- $18 a day for their own parking lot?? Again, why?? Marriott just build in it so people don't feel like they are being taken advantage of! Another not so cute thing was the "tip housekeeping" ummmmmm again, that feels weird! Rooms very nice and clean love the water filter that is attached to sink so you can have clean water to drink. Gave this hotel 4 stars because how clean and modern it is. The outdoor bbq grill is a plus and the seating furniture and fireplace was a great hangout spot. Also the free breakfast in the morning was a bonus! But the cons is the pool. Way overpowered by chlorine burns your eyes and makes you cough. And also the manager at the front wearing blue working on Saturday 4pm. Was super rude! I told him I'm checking in for my conjoining room and he told me they don't have room like that, and he didn't care to check my name in the system and persistently said my rooms is nonexistent. It made me really nervous when he said that because we were their to celebrate a special occasion! The girl at the front desk was so nice and said she'll check me in and of course...just as I thought, my 2 rooms were available. They had great accommodations for the kitchen. Morning breakfast buffet was great something different everyday but the overall stand out was the staff. The housekeeping was always friendly in the halls and coming in to the hotel to Lynette friendly and great attitude every night asking how our day was a refreshing feeling after a long day. Along with leaving to work every morning and chitchatting with Tai about what the day had in store for us along with recommendations on what to do on our days off. Element Element Element...you did not disappoint. I recently stayed at the Element Anaheim. This was a new hotel...guess what...so is this one. The lobby is large, spacious and welcoming. Once you enter the sliding glass door from the safe ample parking area, you will be greeted by the front desk. Check in was a breeze with the Marriott app. Which by the way can open your door with the app. They have a full bar in the lobby, large meeting and eating area. A pretty nice size gym with Life Cycle equipment- 4 treadmills, 2 ellipticals and 2 different kinds of bikes. The lap pool is indoor...as we are n the Pacific Northwest. And of course there is a hot tub. They do have the standard Marriott breakfast but what sets them apart is the staff. I was greeted every time I walked In, greeted in the breakfast area and even was checked in on during breakfast. They are quick to assist and take your used plates. I appreciate that as I don't enjoy seeing cluttered empty tables. The room was clean and sanitized. I do sanitize the room myself to appease my Senses. The room was a pretty good size featuring a king size bed, pull out sofas bed, good size refrigerator, keurig style coffee machine, plates, cups, utensils, and other things that come standard in a kitchen. There were two desks and a nice flat screen. The bed was comfy and sheets were clean. The room smelled sanitary. My one gripe...my shin will tell you is the projecting bed frame. Be weary of those bed corners. The shower head was a rain type shower head with a detachable wand...to get those extra places I guess. The hotel did not look full which was good. Here is the best thing, location location location. Element is situated about .5 miles to Westfield Tukwila Mall and Target. Element...I'm a fan. I'll be back for sure. read more

We stayed here back in September and were pleased with the experience. The hotel is new, and as mentioned in other reviews, has a great breakfast spread. The staff are consistently kind and outgoing and there are bikes, a great exercise room, a pool and hot tub. However, upon returning this time in January 2022, we were NOT as delighted due to some safety and health concerns. The parking lot when we entered was an ice rink as it had not been salted or plowed, but where we really lost it was the rooms cleanliness, or lack thereof. Before I totally Karen out on everyone here, let me add, I have a LOT of empathy for hospitality workers. I have worked cleaning hotel rooms and it takes a lot of attention to detail and a solid work ethic to get through linen changes and room cleaning in the short time available. I don't strip beds when I leave a room, but I do try to clean up any clumps of hair I leave in a shower, or make sure all trash is cleaned up. TIP YOUR CLEANERS PEOPLE (also don't leave your room a "tip") However, the details missed on cleaning this room were just gross and made me question whether the room was cleaned at all. There's a pandemic on, so a lack of cleanliness is potentially hazardous....and some of these issues are big enough that it's clear this room hasn't been properly cleaned in a while: - Cellophane wrapper (like off a deck of cards) left on couch - Pots put away in drawers still dirty - Bathroom floor not cleaned properly, with hair and dirt in corners. I wiped the floor down with paper towels to clean up and they came up totally filthy. - TOENAIL CLIPPINGS in a corner behind the toilet & waste basket - Dried urine behind toilet seat around the seat hinges (you know where it gets gross when you have a teenager? yeah that) We ended up staying two nights because of illness, and had to clean the bathroom due to said illness, so I think it's far cleaner than it was when we moved in. It's pretty clear that someone untrained OR very, very rushed cleaned this room though, so I do believe management needs to pay attention to what they can do to support their cleaning crews. We still will not stay in this hotel again until they hire the appropriate volume of staff to take the time to clean each room properly and thoroughly, and I'm very glad we stayed on points because I would have been disappointed to pay for this level of grossness in the room. (BTW, We still left a decent tip because housekeeping in most hotels doesn't pay a living wage, especially in a high rent city like Seattle. TIP YOUR CLEANERS.) read more

I purposely selected this hotel near the SeaTac airport for several reasons. The price, the amenities, and the location being near Southcenter Mall and the airport. The lobby area acts as a dining/meeting area especially for breakfast. Their buffet breakfast is excellent and puts the Residence Inns to shame. Great variety of hot and cold breakfast items along with a self-service cappuccino machine to access 24 hours a day. The fitness center is well-equipped and also 24 hours access. The pool wasn't used but large enough to swim laps or use the hot tub for relaxation. The outside area is nice for barbecuing or relaxing near the lobby bar which does serve food from the mid-afternoon to 10 pm. The staff are friendly and helpful, even going beyond the call of duty when asked for fruit during the evening hours. The location provides quiet sleep at night and the parking is open and a 15 dollar parking fee is charged per day during your stay. I was very pleased with my stay and experience here. This hotel scammed me out of my money. Please be aware of staying at this hotel. They are running a large SCAM. Mainly on families of color. If you're seen with more than 2 children they alert housekeeping to take note. Once you check out they charge your card for "cleaning fee" just for having more than 2 children in the room.
