I have been coming to Produce Junction as long as I can remember, and was delightfully surprised…read morewhen I discovered there was one near my college campus. There are actually quite a few locations. Produce Junction has a huge variety of well, produce, and other flowers/plants. You get a lot here while spending a little. There are two separate lines for fruits and vegetables, and when the weather is nicer there is also a register outside for flowers and gardening plants. I love that there are always seasonal items here- I have gotten pumpkins here as well as Christmas trees! The Christmas trees are actually a pretty good deal here- not only is it super convenient but you can get a decently sized tree at an affordable price. Don't forget- Produce Junction is cash only!! There is an ATM inside but make sure you have cash when you get to the front of the line (and know what you want)!

As someone who has shopped there for over 30 years, I was not aware of the *new way they ring you up for plants. Usually, the cashier looks at my cart and counts the items/prices and gives me the total. The cashier today, which was rude to me last time I went, just stared at me. When I asked her "how much", she said she didn't know. She did not tell me to place all the items on the table, but waited until I asked her if that is what she wants me to do. This is something new, as was the scanner and giving of a receipt. She should have said something to me instead of just stare with an attitude. It really upset me and I will be buying my plants anywhere else!

I've both picked my own and bought pre-picked berries, but regardless of how you get them the fruit is fresh and delicious. They're great for eating on their own, but I can tell you they also make a mean blueberry cobbler or really any baked good. At only around 2 dollars for a pound, you can get huge quantities that are unheard of in retail. It's a great bargain, but get it quickly, since blueberry season is only a few short weeks in the summer. I've been told this place usually shuts down after the first weekend in August. Keep in mind this farm is organic and they don't use pesticides. While you can rest assured your produce isn't covered in poison, you might get bit up by bugs when you go picking. I know I did. Learn from my mistakes, take your bug spray! (Side note: two dollars a pound for organic fruit is an amazing deal. I can't get over how much of a bargain it is.) I love this place for having super cheap and super tasty blueberries. If you're free in the summer and like convening with nature, I totally recommend you go blueberry picking here; and even if you don't want to pick your own, there's usually some you can purchase labor free anyway. Blueberries from the grocery store will never be the same after you experience them here.

Just revisited the farm and realized I've never written a review. As a family we've been going for…read morea least a decade. So we've seen the pricing increase over the years, but it's still worth it for wholesome family fun. We usually visit once per season and this visit was for u pick strawberries. It was the perfect day for it as the weather was very pleasant-70's, partly sunny, no rain, with a slight breeze. The hayride felt bumpier than usual, but the kids loved it and didn't notice, which is most important. Afterward, we enjoyed some farm fresh ice cream while sitting on a bench and people watching. We'll be back for u pick blueberries next month hopefully, pumpkins, apples, and apple cider donuts in the fall.

Most things were closed down by the time I arrived (would love to visit earlier in the day next season), but we were still able to walk around and explore their pumpkin display, shop in the home decor store, and try some treats from their market. The pumpkin displays were lovely and perfect for a photo op. The home decor store had such adorable and seasonal items, all at fairly affordable prices. The market offered a number of treats made on-site or locally. Of course, they have their apple cider donuts (delish!) and a variety of apple ciders (particularly liked the sparkling cider option), but also a lot of breads, locally made more savory items, other beverages, candies, etc. Truly something for everyone! It wasn't too cold, so we enjoyed a donut and our cider outside on their many benches for guests. This was a pretty quick visit, but we hit all the highlights! I can imagine it gets pretty busy during the day (I'm sure it's a popular spot for field trips). Regardless, I would love to revisit during the day to experience more festivities and see Johnson's in full swing. Thanks for the fun fall outing, Johnson's!
