The tow truck guy looked at the date on my dead car battery and sent me straight to Rex at Battery Systems in Paso Robles. Rex was personable and professional. He offered 3 choices of batteries and installed the one I chose right then and there. Rex even hooked the car to power while he was removing the dead battery so the car wouldn't need to be reprogrammed afterwards. Great service, reasonable price for on the spot service and installation. I didn't have to transport a new battery home and wait for someone to install it, and then take the dead battery back. I can't recommend this business enough. I was broke down at Post office almost 2 hours waiting for triple A, after my car was running again Started calling for a battery .. I have a Hyundai so it's not the normal size battery. I called and talked to Rex he had me come right down and even installed it. ( observing strict coved 19 rules) it was quick and affordable I was so pleased, very proper gentleman and I couldn't of appreciated everything about this business more. read more

While traveling for business my trucks battery was dead when I was checking out of local hotel. Towing companies locally were an hour wait for a jump. I called and spoke to Rex at Battery Systems in Pasa Robles CA. He sent one of his staff over to give me a jump and tested my battery. My son's battery in his Ford Fusion died. We went to AUTO zone and O'Reilly's and they didn't have it. I yelped batteries and found this place. Believe it or not we have passed it for years and never really noticed it. The guys there were super helpful and knowledgeable. They have a wide variety of every type of battery you can think of. Unfortunately, Ford has the market cornered on the Fusion battery, but they had the more heavy duty expensive one. We decided to go directly to Ford and buy it and they installed it. Saved us some money doing it that way. They were patient, knowledgeable and efficient. There equipment was top notch and the shop very clean. Found out they service cars, RV's, trucks, motorcycles and can fix starters and alternators , etc. I would highly recommend them. read more

I'm moving and found two old batteries I needed to get rid of. I knew they were hazardous waste. So I stopped into Battery systems to ask what to do with them. Instead of paying for hazardous waste I was paid and had lunch on them. They were very nice bunch of guys there. I would highly recommend their service. Battery was dead when I went to go to work, Aaron got me back in business quick, and he put the right battery in, whoever did it before put a smaller and easier to put in battery. I'm super happy with their service all around. My cables that connect my battery are going out and that caused my battery not to start again a month later. I called and they told me to come in. Horrible auto batteries. Lasted less than 18 months. Emailed and called several times and never received a reply back. Finally got a reply below via Yelp, but still no call as Jim states below. Lesson learned.. hopefully the $125 I wasted here will keep others from doing the same. read more

I called early in the morning and spoke with a very knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly associate by the name of Aaron. He assured me that he would find the right battery for my car! I was greeted when I arrived at the store and it was busy. Aaron was busy installing a battery for a customer and an associate from the Atascadeo store who just came to pick up a battery or two drove up. He sprang into action and started helping Aaron. It was great to see them work as a team and the customers were all content and happy as they drove off. Cudo's to both these young men! I was given options and pros on each battery. Rex, the manager, was terrific! He explained my car battery options without pressure then quickly and expertly installed it. I was concerned as my car (BMW) went kookoo while in the process of getting the battery jumped; the electrical items blinked, even the wipers started although I hadn't turned them on! After the new battery installation all electrical in the car behaved perfectly-no need for reprogramming. Whew! What a relief to have a professional & a gentleman take care of the job! When I told Matthew that I was going to call AAA, he said not to worry, he'd come and start my car for me. So unexpected but great because it saved a AAA visit. Aaron and the crew at Battery Systems were absolutely great to deal with. I wanted a Northstar AGM battery for my pickup, and Aaron made sure it was ordered and arrived as soon as possible. When it came time to pick up the battery, they went ahead and installed it for me no questions asked---and did it very quickly! Our battery was dead on our 2014 Avalon so we went to the Battery Systems in Paso Robles and they were great. Noah installed the new battery & the Branch Lead Hector Gonzalez-Pastor was very helpful as well. We originally had bought a new battery on Jan 6th which turned out to be a dud. Thankfully it didn't go out while on a trip or far from home. They were so helpful & took the time to check out the old one & replace it quickly. Now our car runs perfectly & we have the peace of mind that at least the battery shouldn't go out. I love living in a small town and having the businesses we deal with so respectful, helpful & courteous! Great job guys!!! read more

Had them replace a battery in a newer Cadillac. It has a rather complicated system with additional wires and terminals at the battery, but they said they could do it. They hooked up a "battery minder" to preserve the electronic settings, then replaced the battery. He removed the battery minder and said they were done, I tried to start the car - nothing. He checked and found that he had not tightened one of the terminals. Then it would start, but nothing would light up on the panel. He checked some more, and found they he forgot to tighten other terminals. It seems that everything works okay, but I am not certain yet. Wow - what a case of not double checking everything before turning it over to the customer. Not Happy! read more

Purchased a very expensive yellow top battery for my truck June 2011 exactly 4 years ago. the battery got drained and needed a long slow charge so I found out. took it back to battery systems the kid tested it and told me it had dead cells and I needed a new battery. I was not happy paid almost 200. for it and thought 4 years was not good service it should have lasted longer for the price and quality of the battery. They never offered to charge it and see if it would hold a charge. I told them I was not happy and I would never purchase another battery from them nor would I ever recommend them, their reply was ok! they didn't seem to care. I took it to another shop they charged it overnight and it was fine just drained not dead. I left battery systems feeling like they were dishonest with me and just tried to get me to buy another battery. I don't recommend them at all. 1 star because It won't allow me to post without selecting a srar. Very bad business ethics. read more
