In April 2025, I took my 2023 stock trailer to have the wheel bearings packed and a general safety check, as it had been sitting for a while, and I was going on an out-of-state trip. I was surprised to receive a voicemail stating that my brakes were significantly worn and would need to be replaced, along with the bearings, etc. My initial thought was that I had used the trailer lightly, and since it was only two years old, this did not sound right, and I chose to get a second opinion. While picking up my trailer from CCT, I was informed by the mechanic that I would be lucky to return from my trip without my brakes being "metal to metal." The quote I was given from CCT for this was $3,000.00. So, I obtained a second opinion and was shown the brake pads of all the tires; there was absolutely NO significant wear, and they were nearly new, indicating that no work was necessary. Feeling that something had gone awry, I sent an email to CCT, the owner and person who assisted, to let them know the situation with the brakes, in case there was an explanation for this, or they were not aware of what their mechanic had told them. I have photos from the second examination. To date, as of July 3, 2025, nobody has taken the time to respond with a reason for the two glaring differences in examinations, which would have cost me at least $3,000.00 for unnecessary work. read more

Took my trailer in for wheel bearings and safety check When I picked it up they informed me that all the wheel bearings needed done. Replaced my plug and cord. Not sure why it was fine When I returned after issues with breaks and lights now they act like there so busy and rolling eyes like I'm an idiot. I'm done spending my money. Had an electrical issue with my gooseneck dump trailer. They got my trailer in the shop within a couple days and fixed a ton of bad connections! Not only did they get my trailer back on the road with working lights and brakes, they also helped diagnose my 2017 GMC 2500HD Duramax issue which was throwing "service trailer brake system" alerts. They replaced the bumper plug and help me figure out the root cause of a bad Integrated Trailer Brake Controller. I used them to pack bearings, brake inspection. My 2 axle cargo trailer lost brakes. They had trouble diagnosing and fixing. Now, infrequently, the brakes engage (the high pitched electrical noise occurs) when NOT braking. Their employee said, "it is a nonexistent problem," and he was angry acting. I was surprised. Actually, it really happens, it's intermittent. I walked in the garage to give them tips is when he said that, then he said wait 5 minutes. I left, talked to the owner, who I respect, later. Now he denies saying it. But I can't go there anymore. read more

Had them put a swift built flatbed on my 99 dodge 2500 and was one of the worst experiences I've had. Not only was the bed scratched up but they completely wired my 7 plug wiring harness in wrong. Didn't even wire in my back up lights for my trailer. Spoke with Pam about possibly getting at least a little money back and she told me "if I gave everyone money back that wasn't happy I'd be out of business." Wow. Must happen a lot. She tried telling me my truck had been in a reck and that all the factory wiring was gone. No all factory plugs and wires are there and intact. Pretty bad tactics if you ask me. I wouldn't recommend. Only used 4 grade 8 bolts to hold down a bed that has a towing capacity of 30k. I will never go back to this place. Everyone is rude and full of them selves. read more

I bought a Bradford Built flatbed from Central Coast Trailers, and paid them to install it. After getting it home I realized how poor of an installation job they'd done: * They didn't paint any of the steel bracketry they used to install the bed, so its all rusted, which makes it look like it was installed in some hillbillys back yard, and the rust literally runs down my truck frame when it gets wet. This is basic metal working 101 -- when your're using raw steel on any vehicle, you need to paint it, or it will rust. * The bed and boxes they installed squeek with any movement of the truck. I called them about it, and they said they would fix those things (in addition to installing weather stripping they were out of when I had the bed installed), but I wasn't able to get it down there during their normal business hours and able to leave it all day. I called them twice since then and both times they said no worries, that the time wasn't an issue, bring it in whenever I wanted. When I finally arranged a ride, and took time off to bring it in, they didn't want to fix the issue, and Cameron the shop manager was straight up rude, and attempted to be intimidating. He yelled at me (unprovoked by me) that I was trying to "F'ing take advantage of them" and how "every other shop would tell me to F off". He said that nobody else paints the brackets, so why should they? He accused me being stupid, and tried to somehow shame me by saying I'd clearly never been around trucks if I was concerned about rust (which besides being a stupid argument, is also not true) I guess they don't understand the concept of taking pride in their work. In the end, after all the anger and hostility from Cameron, I didn't feel comfortable leaving it with them to butcher my truck anymore (to do the minimal job they said they would do). I was also concerned after witnessing the anger and pettiness from Cameron that he would intentionally damage or harm my truck somehow. In the end, I will fix these relatively easy to fix things myself, and consider it an $800 lesson. I will never buy anything from them again, and if you expect quality, I recommend you don't buy anything from them either. read more

Buyer Beware. 2 Stars due to mixed experiences. Carly was a very good saleswoman, and explained the different options available for the LQ trailers. This really helped to decide what options that I wanted. I had asked how big a trailer that my specific truck could haul. Unfortunately, I didn't ask how big a LOADED trailer that my truck could haul. My bad (I had previously asked the salesman/dealership for my truck-they didn't know, and I tried to look online-but didn't know what to look for). I am now the owner of a trailer that is at the extreme range of my truck. I now get to buy/trade for another truck. I suppose this is 'my' fault since I assumed that a trailer dealer would have the experience to know how big a truck is needed for the trailers that they sell. (Carly had mentioned that it was unprofessional that some trailer manufacturers sold trailers with axels that were too light. I just 'assumed' that she would be professional in helping me pick the proper size trailer.) I had them place a hitch in my truck-they did a great job. (This was after I had a new bed liner sprayed in, and before I had to get airbags placed because of the weight of the trailer) I had them place 2 Hi-Tie's and they did a horrendous job. When I got home, and put my horse on one of them, she turned her head-pulling on the tie. I am so glad that I was there: the tie and the side of the trailer started to warp! They hadn't attached the tie to a strut, just the skin of the trailer! I had visions of her pulling back, ripping the side of the trailer off, and her running around with the whole contraption banging around behind her! When I asked them to come pick up my trailer (I live over 180 miles away) and have them move the 'Ties' and fix the holes in the sides of the trailer, they were 'unable to send anyone'. Carly did Ok for me to take my trailer to a local RV mechanic and paid them to fix it. That helped a lot. read more
