Customer service ladies are the best. The prices for currency not so good. Dollar was at 18.20 pesos and here they do it for 17.30 no way!

I've been coming here for years ! 10 years paying my rent with money order I've never had a problem two months ago there's this lady first time seeing her who took my money to the back !!! And came back and counted $20 dollars short I count my money three times before I hand it over . She lied I know she took my $20 she's a scammer and I'm coming back to take a photo of you and going to report you ! Continental Currency Services is not your typical check cashing establishment. Its your check cashing on steroids because of all the services that they provide: Check cashing, money orders, bus passes, ATM's, fax services, phone cards, vehicle registration, insurance, pay day advance loans, western union wires, bill payment, foreign currency exchange, cash for gold, prepaid wireless etc. I first came into contact with this business out of the need to make money orders in essence that I pay my rent. After passing many up in downtown that were of no help and even looked shady I came upon this one in which I was skeptical but willing to give it a try. After a year of using this place for money orders, western union transfers and currency exchange I can say with out a doubt their about good business, fast service with reliable employees whom are not rude nor snappy. It can get packed in the evenings because DTLA is a high traffic area with out warning! so be prepared to wait if you do go in the evenings a bit otherwise I'd usually go 15 minutes before they close and there is no line just in & out. read more

This place LITERALLY forgot to give me back my I.D. after they "couldn't verify" my paycheck while at my lunch. I had to run back across the street to the other check cashing place (which cashed it fine) to get it back from this idiot wprking there. This place is aweful. read more

My grandpa had sent me a little money via western union. If you've never done that I'll let you know how it works. My grandfather fills out a form on his end with my name, his name, amount, etc. then he pays. They give him a number that he shares with me. You need this number to pick up the money. So I walk in, full out the form, and give them my ID to pick up my money. They refused to give it to me because I have a middle name listed on my ID that wasn't on the form my grandpa sent...really? Isn't that what the control number is for? Or is someone else with the same name and control number trying to snag my measly $40. This location can suck it! read more

I love this place and I'm one of their difficult customers but whenever I have a problem they always find a way to fix it. The customer service is awesome, especially being on broadway I know that their patience level is high. The amount of different services they provide make it to where I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. I make a 30/45 min bus ride to them cause they are able to explain/answer any questions I have, and I trust them. Tried to cash a check there and because they either entered the number incorrectly or what, but they gave me a really nasty attitude for some unknown reason. Then they have the nerve to say that the fee to cash check is "expensive" as if I didn't know what 12% of $500 was. That's why I went there in the first place since my bank was closed. This is the closet check cashing place to my home and I only go in there when I just really don't feel like traveling far. The line in this place is ridiculous! They will have a line out the door with 3 cashiers but only 2 windows will be open. This place is very slow and it needs some other colorful faces behind the counter. read more
