CCI ran a special promotion that I was leery of taking advantage. It was a pay in full at the time of contract in exchange for a discounted price; a great deal, with professional measurements, custom 2D design drawing to customer's specifications, manufacturing/fabrication and installation. Paying thousands of dollars up front without an installed product was concerning, but Tommy the owner, his son and office/sales manager, Luis, assigned a project manager (Gabriel) to keep me abreast of the manufacturing/fabrication process. CC Iron (Luis, Tommy, Gabriel) were the best people we've worked with, maybe ever. The black gate/fence in the photos is the photo we gave to them, and the blue gate/fence is what they delivered - it's absolutely beautiful and better than we were hoping for! Every bit of it is smooth and perfectly manufactured. From my first email to them, they have gone above and beyond. Luis responded almost immediately and asked all the right questions, including if our HOA had approved the project (which we hadn't even thought of, being new homeowners). They came out to look at the project only about 3 hours after that and gave us the best bid we had received. They took the measurements right then, and we were off and running. To Tommy and Luis at Continental Custom Iron Inc. my experience with them to fabricating a galvanize steel gate with Alaskan cedar lumber was done very professionally, Knowledgeable and easy to communicate. I presented them the measurements and plans that I drew up into details afterwards. Tommy decided to take a 1 Hour drive to my property without my knowledge to re-take the measurements and survey and take into of Account that there was a 3 inch slope, unleveled walls that the Posts were to be secured this would have cause a problem. But Tommy's extra effort to take this into account made the installation go without a hitch they did additional work that was not called for in the contract, but they did not leave until everything was done the right way one of the entrance to my beautiful home in Carlsbad near the beach.The final product came out much better than anticipated. March 24, 2022 This is a review for Tommy, Luis, and the crew at Continental Custom Iron (CCI) in San Diego. Let me start by letting you know that our project was fairly large for a single home. Our North County house is not that large but the project did include several different components that, all together, may be considered challenging. All the while, Tommy and his crew were diligent and professional along the way. We are very happy with the end result and are so glad that we chose this company, and this person, to help us get our gates, railings and fencing all done with one company. Our project consisted of a custom ornamental, arched front gate, side yard security and pedestrian gates, railings on two patios, and additional railing down stairs on two sides of a sloped lot. We also had a custom made front door. Whenever there was an issue that needed to be addressed, Tommy was responsive and he could not have been more gracious. He always took care of our concerns right way and without any drama. From their shop, we were sent photos of different stages of progress which we appreciated very much. This eliminated any surprises and was fun to see our vision come to life. They were very easy to work with and the final product was impressive and was delivered as promised. Tommy is an artist and the quality of his work is absolutely beautiful, especially considering the medium, and his prices were very fair.
