When our double door arrived, it was missing a hole, which was understandably concerning, but they immediately arranged for Alex to come out and fix it. It wasn't an easy adjustment to line up perfectly, but he did a great job and made sure I was happy before finalizing everything. He helped us arrive at a suitable energy-efficient Simonton models to replace 5 of our windows at a reasonable price. He also measured all the windows to be replaced and promptly provided a written quote. Three of our replacements were for original 30+ year-old single-hung windows which were no longer functional because their balances had failed. The replacement Simonton windows have a better design that obviates the need for such balances, which was of added value to me! The total window order, measured and made to order, was received by JWG within 3 weeks and installed within 1 week. JWG Windows arrived just minutes before the scheduled time for installation. We were fortunate to have a second installation crew (Alex and Ricky) join the first crew (EJ and Cody) during the installation process, which allowed the entire job to be done within 2.5 hours. These two teams operated smoothly together in good spirits, were respectful of our property (using drop cloths in each work area) and cleaned up the work areas. After they were installed, EJ demonstrated the windows' operating features, provided me with the manufacturer's warranty and answered my questions. (The self-latching worked a bit differently than I expected, which actually was an improvement!) The windows look great and are a pleasure to use! Nice work, JWG!

I reached out to a few vendors, and Coughlin was by far the most helpful and informative. The whole process went smoothly, Kevin was very friendly and easy to work with; he provided the most information on what type of windows to get for our situation. He was very responsive and answered any questions we had. They also had very reasonable prices and detailed quotes. My husband told me on the day of installation, they were punctual, efficient and completed the window replacements on time. We got Simonton laminated double paned windows, and although they haven't blocked out as much sound as I hoped, they actually help a good deal with lowering hot temperatures in that room in the summer. It's been about a year and the windows still look great and work well (they're also much easier to slide open than our old windows). I would definitely recommend them!

I'm writing this review as the installers from Pelican are removing my old, louvered windows (1 x…read morekitchen, 1 x bathroom, and 4 x loft) and replacing them with Milgard V250 Style Line® Series replacements. First - I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of the way Pelican handled the scheduling of the install - or rather, bungled. The crew arrived at my home this morning just after 8:00 am with no warning at all. Surprise! It turns out their scheduler sent an email July 18 with notice of intent to install to a fancifully incorrect email address. And, when they received no response from me (and why would they?), no one at Pelican deemed it prudent to follow up with a phone call. Fire and forget? 2 stars. The process to set this up was painless. Their sales/frontman (Isael) paid 2 visits, took careful measurements, explained my options and was a total professional. Not the least bit pushy. 5 stars. OK - on to the install. In a word - slick. The 3-man crew was efficient and from what I can tell (pics attached) did a very nice job removing the old, and installing the new. Again, very professional and respectful of my home, its contents, and my time. No fuss, no muss. The whole process for 6 windows was over and done in 4 hours. Again, 5 stars. The end result - no more drafty louvered windows, replaced with energy efficient, double glazed, argon gas filled windows. I'm pleased with the result, and recommend Pelican as a first stop when shopping for replacement windows.

Chuck came out and explained everything thoroughly, measured, and gave a fair price. He was so knowledgeable, answered every question, and knew how to describe everything so that we could understand. It was almost like having an old friend over - that's how friendly and approachable he was. No hard selling, no pressure at all. All the windows are made to order - so Chuck told is it could take 6 weeks. But, they were done within 3 weeks - so we were very pleasantly surprised. Dimitry came to do the installation. He did three windows in three hours, and did them so incredibly well. Additionally, he cleaned up so thoroughly that you couldn't even tell that windows were replaced. He treated the job like it was being done in his own house; that's the level of craftsmanship and professionalism he showed. The staff were nice but our windows continue to have condensation in the morning all year round even in summer time with zero visibility outside to look at our view. They replaced some but they still do the same. They keep saying it's normal for windows to have condensation like car windows which we never experienced even from our old windows. We talked to other window dealers and they said it's a lie that condensation is normal for new expensive windows. In the morning we can't see our outside view for hours until later when the sun melts the condensation especially during winter. It's a poor material even though it looks new. The refused to give another sets that does not have the same problem because they said we have to buy a new set and it's different color. We're stuck with this annoying problem for life and bad view unless we spend a lot again to replace it. I wish they would correct this.

We would like to say what a wonderful company Cabana Concepts Luxury Door & Window Experts is especially Brandon Welty the General Manager, Joe Schultz the owner, Salvador, Martin, Ryan and the crew who worked on the project and Tasha the receptionist. We originally had a 6 foot sliding window that was about 38 years old falling apart and in desperate need of replacement. My husband and I were a little nervous but we decided to expand the window to 12 feet and knock out 6 feet of wall to get a better view of our backyard. We didn't know where to start. I had been checking around at different companies a few months before when I realized I had saved a text from Brandon from Cabana. I set up an appointment with him. Brandon came out right away and put our minds at ease quoting the whole project from start to finish and set a time for us to come out to the showroom. We decided to get a few other quotes and quickly realized most companies piecemeal the project and don't do it all. After adding it all up it was nice that Cabana could take care of all the details. Plus they had rave reviews! Brandon was the key factor in our decision. He was so professional and personal and never put any pressure on us. He gave us all our options and assured us he would be supervising the project and working with the team. Joe the owner came out the first day as well as a few other times to make sure things ran smoothly and he was meticulous with every detail. Salvator, Martin, Ryan and Crew prepared, installed and finalized all the details. Brandon even made sure the project was done before a sister trip I had planned! This review is way over due, and if I could give a higher rating I would, I apologize to Joe for taking so long to do this. In June of 2017 we purchase a La Cantina door from Joe and had it installed by him in July, and we were so happy with it that we purchased a La Cantina window for the kitchen in August and had him install it in September. This guy is so knowledgeable about La Cantina doors and windows and knows how to install them so well, that I would not recommend anyone else to buy and install these windows and doors, even if you can save a few bucks(not worth it!). It is a pleasure to open and close these doors every time, as they were perfectly installed the first time, and if not done right(installed by Joe), every time you open and close them you will remember that you should have used Joe! As a matter of fact, Joe is the only guy you should use for any of your window or door needs(he earned our business). We also ordered some Jeld-Wen windows thru Joe, We had some issues with the factory (no fault of Joe's) and he came to the rescue and helped us resolve the issues. So remember if you want to be happy with your windows and doors for the rest of your life, buy them from Cabana Concepts and have Joe install them! read more

Cabana Concepts recently replaced an aging set of windows and doors that are the entry to a studio apartment in my house and they did an incredible job, from initial measurements to final finishing work. Drew was the lead on this project, and he moved it along efficiently and with great care for detail. The project was a little challenging because my house is almost 100 years old and nothing is squared or even. I chose Cabana Concepts after getting quotes from 2 other companies, one of which was Anderson. I chose Cabana because they can make custom size windows and doors which many other companies cannot, and also because of the quality product they produce and the great pricing they offered. I am very happy with the look and quality of the doors and windows, and I look forward to working with Drew and Cabana Concepts on a plethora of other windows that need to be replaced in my home in the coming years. Joe at Cabana is the best! The whole cabana concepts team is fantastic work with. we recently installed two large cantina doors - Joe went above and beyond in his customer service. He met with us and reviewed the build plans and double checked our measurements/layout. We had several contractors that that were working on the project and he met with them and explained what they needed to do to get the space ready. The communication on the delivery was fantastic -they kept us in the loop the whole time. On installation day, the team came out and worked so diligently to install the doors. When issues came up (because our framers didn't make the correct door width) Joe helped us navigate the issues and everyone stayed late until the job was done! I wish I could give this company 10 stars and that I found them earlier. I originally had a patio built with retractable screen walls installed 2 years ago by a company down in El Cajon that has since gone out of business. I was referred to Cabana Concepts as one of the walls was not going down all the way and I needed maintenance done. Brandon Welty helped find out the original manufacturer and even gave me a phone number for me to call to obtain easy instructions for me to fix it myself. I was 100% willing to pay to have this done and he could have easily charged me a few hundred dollars and taken advantage of me... but he didn't. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company for any patio needs. From start to finish working with Drew at Cabana Concepts was fluid- easy to work with, open to creating the perfect window or door combination "within manufacture limitations" and spot on with communication between client and install crew. Install crew - had it easy from the framer "joking" Really these guys took care of business, the concrete/tile cut was 110% almost makes you not want to demo the tile but plans are plans. The door operates so incredibly smooth. The crew went a step further than is common by doing a very through cleanup and sealing up the drywall to door with plastic. Also protecting the screen door for customer satisfaction. Many thanks to you guys and the level of quality. These guys have been the lone bright spot in the clown show that has become our remodel. Our contractor put some less expensive and lower quality (and now discontinued) sliding doors in our specs to keep the cost down. We decided to splurge on La Cantina sliders and it was well worth the price. We bought the sliders from Cabana Concepts and had them do the professional installation. I've worked in construction for 15 years remodeling over 200 homes and these guys are one of the best tradesman I have ever dealt with. When you are spending $$$$ on a door don't hire anyone but the best to install it or you're going to end up with a $$$$ mistake! As the owner said to me when installing our 9' x 20' multipocket slider that was $25k and took 4 months to arrive . . . you either get an A or an F on this type of job. I purchased from and had Cabana Concepts installed a 12ft LaCantina 2 panel slider door. Drew handled the whole process very professionally and I was always kept aware of the timeline from ordering to installation. Drew couldn't have done a better job for me. The door installers did a fantastic job. Not one bit of debris entered the house and they had to cut the 12ft length of concrete. We have nothing but accolades for Mike Martinez and Custom Door Boutique. After years and years of…read moresearching for the right front door for our home, we finally found the one person who could make our dream door come true. Our house came with typical tract home doors. When we decided to replace them, we shopped around for a long time. We tried the big box store first and were surprised to learn that our doors were not the typical standard size. We were told about 95% of prefabricated doors were not available in our size. Of the 5% that would fit, none were to our taste. We realized that if we wanted something we liked, we would have to have it custom designed, created and installed. Our next step was to drive through various subdivisions looking at front entry doors trying to find the design that "spoke" to us. We loved the 8-panel doors we saw and decided the center panel should be replaced with a design of beautiful colorless stained glass that still offered privacy. Our next step was to look for the best person or company for the job. Finding that special artist took time. At last, we found Custom Door Boutique. We were pleased that this company is small, locally owned and not part of any conglomerate. We spoke with Mike Martinez, the owner. He came out and we were (and still are) extremely impressed with his knowledge, professionalism, kindness, fairness and his ethics. He did all the work. We discussed what we wanted and he came up with a proposal that was very agreeable to us. Regarding our glass design, we chose to design our own. Mike said that was doable (and at no extra cost). All we had to do was give him a drawing or sketch of what we wanted. We found a few patterns we really liked and incorporated them, allowing one pattern to flow into the other. Mike took our design for the door and glass and worked on putting them together. He sent us the pictures/drawing/sketches of what it would look like. Once we gave the okay on that, we had to settle on the color stain for the door. (By the way we had chosen a wood door and got to pick the type of wood.) Mike provided us with several examples of different shades of the stain we had chosen. It took us awhile to decide which stain it would be because we kept checking all the samples at different times of the day and evening, both inside the house and in front. When we gave Mike our final okay, the process of making our beautiful door began. A custom door, if you want it done right, takes time and patience. It took a few months for everything to come together and the custom stained-glass panel to be created. In May 2022 our beautiful doors were installed. Mike is a perfectionist and his doors will be a perfect fit with no gaps. Mike is a true artisan. We highly recommend Mike Martinez and Custom Door Boutique. Even if you have an issue with a door he did not install, Mike is your friendly, helpful neighbor who is the right person to call. To reiterate, Mike is a true skilled artisan who is ethical, professional, fair, kind and decent.

The other option was installing thee weeks later after he got back from wedding/vacation and his other employees were taking personal days. He's very limited on help and didn't have anyone to do the job. I declined and decided to go with a different company, but this scumbag thinks it's OK to put a lien on my property for the total amount of $3300 I would highly recommend not ordering anything from this company due to the fact that he is scandalous and a liar and his personal life is more important than clients! I plan on fighting this, you can't put a lien on someone's property that you've never actually worked on or actually delivered and held up your end of the contract. it's not going to work out for him ! After talking to a few people in the glass industry-this is not the first incident he's had with this kind of behavior!

I cannot say enough good things about this company!…read more My daughter recently volunteered to completely redo the turtle habitat at our local LGBTQ Resource Center. As you can see from the before and after photos, this turned into quite the project! What started as a very basic tank became a full turtle penthouse, complete with a large custom basking area above the aquarium. While we were working on it, I started calling around looking for help with a custom screen we needed to finish the enclosure. When I explained what we were building and who it was for, they offered to make the screen for us completely free of charge in exchange for an honest review. I didn't ask for a donation--they simply offered to help. That kind of generosity deserves to be recognized. The screen turned out perfectly and helped us finish a habitat that gives this very loved turtle so much more room to swim, bask, and live comfortably. It's easy to leave a review when something goes wrong, but I think it's just as important to recognize businesses that choose to do something kind for their community simply because they can.
