I called the call center to schedule my appointment on 5-12-25 was told my appointment was for that same day at 9pm when I arrived a receptionist that said her name was Jocelyn checked me in but stated ur appointment isn't today it's tomorrow and we're all booked for the night so yeah your appointment is tomorrow , I found her very unprofessional and rude regarding the miss understanding about my appointment date. Jocelyn did not apologize for the inconvenience and rudely said the appointments are made by a 3rd party , she was not polite and was rude when speaking to me, when I asked for her name and told her that I would be making a complaint she said go ahead make a complaint against yourself. This receptionist needs serious disciplinary action taken against her to prevent issues like this happing in the future, she not only made the company look bad she made herself look even worse. Unfortunately, I was directed to go here the other day by my primary physician for some stat imaging. I never knew this place existed, and I was dreading the typical ER scenario: full waiting room, endless hours of waiting just to see someone to begin the intake process, etc. Well, I was mistaken. I entered an empty waiting room, and within 20 minutes I was already in a bay, vitals checked, labs taken. It did take a couple of hours to get to the imaging, but this was still better than a major hospital ER. The staff here, from the front desk to the techs to the physicians, was awesome: friendly, attentive, and very thorough in explaining what was going on. The facility itself is also very nice! Should I ever need a little bit more beyond "urgent care", I will not hesitate to come here. Thanks! read more

I am updating my review for the fact that Freddy reached out. I appreciate that he reached out and as far as the urgent care facility, I am still appreciative for the fact that Kim saw me those 2 days. Would still recommend those with insurance such as cigna like myself to maybe look for for other options since an urgent care visit is normally $30 copay and now I'm paying $380 instead of $440 for the 180+260 visit. On the bright side my copayment was applied to it to get the price down. The only uneasy feeling I had was the fact that billing my insurance it would cost me more then if I went and paid without insurance. **Update as of 5/19/22** I was told today that Continuem is indeed In-network with Anthem. There was an error on some codes. Freddy of Continuem also was very accomodating and was able to clarify the issue. Since I was happy with the care and service that Continuem provided to me during my initial visit and the cleanliness of the facility and the convenience of the business hours, my family and I will be back. I just hope the insurance resolves the issue as quickly as possible before my next visit to this urgent care. read more

Writing an updated review -- Was charged $215 for a covid test even though the front desk said this urgent care was in-network. I have called billing and also insurance multiple times over the last 3 months. The billing department keeps saying it's an insurance issue and insurance says the billing department isn't inputting the right code. The actual office and the people are nice, but the billing department is such a headache, I wouldn't recommend coming. read more

I brought my 14-year-old daughter to this urgent care this evening. nl Not only was she seen in a timely manner, she had excellent service, attention and care. Clean. Prompt. Comfortable. Felt confident in all of those caring for us. I cannot say enough good things about our recent experience here. My insulin dependent wife woke up high, possibly an occlusion with her insulin pump. Long story short came here instead of Memorial ER, a little further drive but well worth it! Everything about the experience made us feel like we were at an ER minus the people with 'colds' being seen before her. She was at 571 when they checked her, challenging to get a line started as she was dehydrated too but they didn't give up and made sure they were able to get bloodwork and an IV started. My daughter strained her back at school. This facility checked her for a concussion, asked some questions and checked the area where she was sore. No equipment, no X-rays, no medicine. We were in and out in 15 minutes. the pricing on the wall ranges from $180-$500. I have a PPO and going off the descriptions we were looking at a $250 visit, before insurance. Turns out they did not take my insurance and they billed me $619. For a 15 minute Q & A session. Disgusting. read more

I cannot even tell how wonderful this Prompt Care is. How clean it is, the front desk staff so helpful and friendly. I called back the day after my visit because I had concerns and was told that someone would get back to me. I admit that I was thinking sure they are. My husband has been to your clinic approx 5-6 times..We were always very impressed by your service..Especially because he has severe health issues and his PCP is no longer providing adequate service.. Yesterday a call to him was informed 3.5 weeks was earliest appointment available..In every visit previously the total cost (including) imaging was 100% covered by his primary Medicare and Medical..His is also a QMB beneficiary.. This urgent care was recommended by my primary since I tested positive for Covid and to get the Monoclonal Antibody Therapy. From entering thru the door you feel the place is first rate. Nancy, the receptionist was a true pleasure to deal with, she had helped me earlier on the phone. Great customer service, exception to this was the insurance person, she was impatient, and rude with her answers. My doctor was Freindly and explained what the therapy would entail. The nurse (Beasley) that administered my therapy was excellent she was informative, and thorough. she took time to make sure I was comfortable, she put me at ease, with what was going to happen. I would call this the Nordstroms of urgent care. FIRST class. The people who own this place did not cut corners!!! hope they open a few more, we need more facilities like this one. I'm going to keep it short.. they want you in and out quick.. they don't care about your well being they just want to get out on time and just want to collect another check.. this was not a good experience. Had a great visit. Got in and out pretty quickly. Was given a painless iv and felt a ton better by the next day. The problem is the billing. I have always had a $30 copay. When I arrived and checked in, I was told I had to pay $99. Thought that was a weird price and was told it was due to a deductible (which I've never had). Being deathly ill with the flu I paid it and moved on. I got my explanation of benefits and reviewed my covered. I even called my insurance company. No deductible. When I called the urgent care they directed me to billing. Billing stated it was a $50 admin fee they are now charging. This was not advertised and does not sound right. Plus I was charged an additional $18. Called ContinuEM back per billing departments suggestion and they don't know what's going on either. I've been waiting for the supervisor to call me back and haven't heard anything. It's really unfortunate because the care was great and I've been referring a lot of people to them, but I see in other reviews this seems to be a big problem ( overcharging) read more

I had a bad experience at this place first off I went in after getting a pedicure. I was missed diagnose I did not have anything wrong with me feets it was I who jumped to conclusion that it was. I was charged $199 co-payment. When I received my bill for their service i was charged a lessor co- payment on the bill that they said I owe. I try notifying their billing service that I had already paid the co- payment at my visit the lady didn't know what I was saying it was a language barrier, mind you my language is English. I took this situation back to ContinuEm urgent care showed the receptionist the bill I received and the copy of the receipt of me paying the co- payment of $199, I showed her I was charged twice for a co-payment and overcharged cause my co-payment was not $199. They overcharged me and I am due for a refund. All the keep telling me someone will call you. I went up there twice asking for someone to help me cause I was overcharged. This happened 09/24 and today is 02/25 I still haven't gotten any call or help with this situation. What could I do i want my money back that they owe me I can't afford to just give money away. I advice people don't go by all the good reviews they have cause my experience was totally different, I agree with some of these reviews the doctors are not professional I believe Sarah was the nurse who miss diagnose me she just went by what I told her what I think it is she had me spending extra money at the pharmacy that I never had to use. My son was having severe pain in his side. Our local urgent care wouldn't see him and said we have to go to the ER. My son is autistic and would not do well waiting hours in an ER. We drove 1 hour to ContinuEM and we were seen within 5 minutes of arriving. He got immediate care and an on-site CT scan. The doctor and nurses were wonderful and thoughtful and understood our additional needs. The two-hour round trip was still less time than we would have spent waiting in a ER. I received a call from Freddy I explained the situation to him and he apologized for the inconvenience he did explain that when you're a prompt pay meeting when I paid cash that should've been the end of it and the total visit and that the bill was definitely an error he sent an email to accounting to look into my account and I received a response the same day stating it had been cleared see picture attached. We were sent to the emergency room at Long Beach Memorial, where my husband was admitted. Was extremely sick & having trouble breathing with bronchitis symptoms. Nothing else was open near me at night except emergency. I came in with really good PPO insurance & they refused to see me. They said they dont accept my insurance. I have open provider insurance, i can see any provider. All they had to do was call the phone number on the card for approval & they refused to call. There is no excuse for this other than racism. No other option given but refusal to see me. I believe it was due to me being the only white person in there. The wait times at the ER can be horrendous, my doctor's office rarely have same day or next day appointments, so I come here for any health issues I may have. The staff at the front are great, the nurses and Doctors show genuine concern for their patients. I have no complaints whatsoever. Let's get the one nag out of the way up front. Their check-in system is a little clunky and isn't as oldster-proof as I (an admitted oldster) would imagine an urgent care facility to be. Otherwise, I got surprisingly good care for an episode that presented with severe pain. Took a while, but that included an IV saline drip, blood work, and a CT scan. All in, we were at the facility for about 3.5 hours. Weigh that against my expectation that we'd be there most of the night, and Continuem did a great job assessing my problem and provided competent, intelligent, and timely medical advice that gave me confidence in my results. Walked in on weekday morning and within minutes was talking to an actual MD about some gastrointestinal issues. Blood testing and physical inspection by doctor was immediate. Had been here before but was still impressed how clean and modern it was. Like an actual hospital ER room without the crowds and the wait times. Imaging (if needed) is next door and was even able to recieve previous imaging results from another WAVE imaging office from the previous month. I had been patiently waiting for those results when I saw my primary doctor next month, but got those out of the way here. Talk about convenient. Doctors and nurses are fine. Billing and back office is horrible. Received an invoice for an office visit over one year after the visit. What took so long? Then they charge $616 for a visit for a teenager with a cough. No medication was given and no further follow up. I'm assuming they did a chest X-ray and nothing else. The summary of charges clearly state no lab results available. Yet they continue to send the invoice and charge $517 for a single visit in the middle of a weekday. Plus they charge for X-ray examination fee plus a pregnancy test. Still fighting with their billing department... Save yourself the harassment of dealing with this office and go to somewhere else! read more
