I'm 41 and started experiencing extreme fatigue/tiredness that did not resolve after 4-6 weeks. It was so bad it was interfering with my career and day-to-day activities. I have no major health issues so after some research, I reached out to my PCP, a therapist for possible depression, and the NP at Scottsdale Skin & Hollistic Health to explore IV therapy or HRT for possible peri-menopause/hormone imbalance. Side Note: I had recently started taking Effexor for anxiety and despite fatigue being a possible side effect, I did not attribute my fatigue to the Effexor given how extreme my fatigue was. I had trialed Lexapro for anxiety about 1-1.5 years prior and stopped taking it after about 6 months due to some very mild fatigue and an insatiable appetite. My current level of fatigue was so far beyond what I experienced while taking Lexapro that the Effexor didn't even cross my mind as a possible cause. Met with the NP at Scottsdale Skin & Hollistic Health on 11.28.25. Explained what I was experiencing and what I wanted to explore as possible solutions. She asked me all the questions you'd expect to be asked. A little more than 1/2 way through the consult she legit asks me "what are you expecting to get out of this meeting?". What?!? and then proceeds to tell me to stop eating carbs during the day to see if that helps. At the end of the consult she orders some bloodwork. At no point did she tell me that I needed to be fasted. Her assistant told me to text her when I had I gotten my blood drawn at a nearby lab and she would stay on top of them until my results were available. The lab near my house has the exact same hours as my work schedule and is not open on the weekends. I go during my lunch one day and wait over 30 minutes only to find out I need to be fasted. Finally make it back to the lab on 12.19 and have my blood drawn. 12.19.25: 1st text to SS&HH 12.26.25: 2nd text to SS&HH 01.07.26: 3rd text to SS&HH 01.07.26: Someone calls me apologetically and promises they won't forget about me and said they wrote my name on a giant sticky note 01.15.26: Nothing ... I did give them over an hours notice that I would be writing this review After speaking with my PCP, it turns out the Effexor was the culprit. I switched to taking it at 2:00pm and my daytime fatigue completely resolved AND I'm still eating all the yummy carbs I have been for years w/ 0 issues. I don't think they saw $$$$ from me as a potential client and wrote me off. UPDATE: Their office manager called me after I started posting reviews. I got a load of excuses. You were texting us during our busy season, we weren't staffed during the holidays, the NP has been out of the country, our system auto-prioritizes messages, and finally, the last time you text us was only a week ago. LOL! How many times can you tell someone they're not a priority?? At some point, she asked if there was anything they could do to resolve the issue. By then, the conversation had derailed a bit. I flippantly said they can return my $200.00 and then went on to explain that I did not need or want anything from their office. I wasn't being serious about the $200.00, but she assured me I was not getting my $200.00 back! Keep it!

At my appointment, I clearly explained multiple times how my facial muscles behave, how they've responded to neuromodulators over the past 8 years, and that under-treating or unevenly weakening the muscles causes compensatory contraction and headaches for me. considering I've never needed anywhere close to 92 units to achieve a good result, I'm concerned that the treatment I received may not have matched the dosing we discussed during my appointment. My glabellar complex and forehead were not effectively treated despite receiving a total of 92 units of Jeuveau. There is still uneven muscle activity. The right corrugator muscle appears stronger than the left. When I raise my eyebrows, there are painful horizontal forehead lines. Since the injections, I've had a noticeable bump in the center of my forehead whenever I frown, which looks like compensatory frontalis contraction. The muscles along the eyebrow are left untreated. They are wadded up and activated. When I frown, there is still a noticeable depression and a deep vertical line between my eyebrows. Not only does my glabella still look very active, but the corner of my mouth hasn't changed at all and is still being pulled downward. There is still a visible groove extending from the corner of my mouth toward my jawline. Also, I still have multiple lines around my eyes, the jelly roll under my eyes not only hasn't improved but looks even deeper than before; if one muscle is relaxed, the opposing muscle will work on its own and new wrinkles may appear. and I still have prominent bunny lines. My gummy smile hasn't improved at all, and there's no change from the lip flip either. I've experienced persistent frontal headaches since the treatment due to compensatory muscle overactivity caused by uneven neuromodulation. I can still palpably feel and voluntarily contract the procerus and corrugator muscles, as well as frontalis fibers above the brow. Following the injection, I developed asymmetrical frontalis activity after 92 units of Jeuveau! Given that I was told that I received 92 units, this degree of asymmetric muscle recruitment and lack of improvement is not a reasonable or acceptable outcome. I came to your practice expecting treatment that met the standard of care discussed during my consultation. Unfortunately, the outcome has fallen significantly short of what was represented, and I'm disappointed with the results. Given the outcome with 92 units of Jeuveau, my ongoing symptoms, I no longer have confidence in returning for additional treatment or a follow-up. I paid $938 for 92 units of Jeuveau, yet I did not receive the outcome that was represented or reasonably expected under the standard of care. At this point, I am requesting a full refund of the treatment fee. If we're unable to reach this resolution, I'm fully prepared to pursue all available legal remedies to have this matter addressed appropriately.
