Absolutely horrible experience…read more I had booked a private transfer from Cancun to Playa Mujeres. I arrived and there was nobody waiting for me. I therefore had to use my phone in Mexico (something I was not planning on doing) to contact the Tour Operator. I was told there was an issue with the reservation getting into their system and to hold on. After about 20 minutes they told me that it would be at least an hour before they could get anyone to me. That they would cancel this trip and issue me a refund and that I could find a Taxi. Obviously I would not use this company to return to the airport and booked with a different company. Now, had this company wanted to even attempt to make things right, they should have informed me to book a taxi, and they would pay for that taxi. The trip I booked via Viator was $118. The Taxi Cost me about $147 for one way and the return trip with a different company was $75. So, essentially this company could have offered to pay for the taxi (they would not have had to pay for the cost of their driver or their transportation). So, for maybe an out of pocket expense to them of under $100 they could have maybe had a little better review. But, I did request and get a refund. The company responded to me, "We apologize, there was indeed an error in the automated system entry; however, we have approved 100% of the refund. We regret the inconvenience and remain at your service. Best regards!" User beware if you are using this company.

We chose the Cenotes, Mayan ruins and snorkeling excursion. The $170 excursion included lunch, cold water, snacks, transportation from our resort in Playa Del Carman, tour guide. The 3 part excursion lasted from 745 to 3 PM. Highly recommend bringing towels, bug spray, water proof phone case, snacks and if you choose the Cenotes bring a flash light if you arent a fan of the dark. My friends and I really enjoyed our experience. Everything was organized. We had plenty of time to ourselves to explore and overall we felt really safe. We booked on Trip Advisor to get the price of $170. I'd recommend going through maybe your resort or hotel to see if you can get an additional discount.

The boat ride was a great time and they kept you entertained. The lunch buffet was not bad at all and you could go up as much as you wanted. The snorkeling was fun but if you do get tired out there they will come out to get you to bring you back to the boat. The private beach was a great time but I will warn you there are people out there trying to sell you things. Along with the chairs on the beach are not free you do have to pay for them. The price of the tour was very reasonable and easy to book.

MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE I HAD IN MY STAY IN CANCUN! we were…read moreskeptical about buying the package because the sales men (guys wearing neon yellow shirts) haggle you into checking out their deals. My family and I bought the deal just because it covered a lot of stuff to do in Isla De Mujeres. (See picture attached) they provide snorkeling equipment. So the way it works is you get assigned a boat with your own driver only for your party. They will take you all over the island. You get to choose how long you want to stay in each area. Our captains were "El Negro" Jose and Jorge from Veracruz. TIPS: you are allowed AND SHOULD take food into the boat. Best deal is to go to the OXXO next door. Buy beer to make it fun! IF YOU HAVE A GOPRO or any underwater equipment TAKE IT! (I left my GOPRO in the hotel) At the beginning They took us to the most touristic part of the island for about an hour and a half. You get to hang out, explore, get in the crystal clear waters) After that they took us snorkeling off the shore to see fishes. If you know how to swim well, they will take you to a little tour where the current takes you off and you get to see different species of fish. When you are done the boat will pick you up. Once you're in, they take you to another part of the island where you can eat. Part of the package. They will cook you a saw fish (pes serrucho). Drinks are not included and you can't bring drinks inside. But it's worth it. While you wait for your food. You can swim with cat sharks and take pictures. (They are harmless). When everything is done, the best part comes! You will get on the boat and they will take you to see the lost village (under water museum) you get snorkeling gear and you explore everything for as long as you want! Beautiful scenery! After all that is over they will take you to shore and you're done. Should end around 6pm and you will be tired!

The natural surroundings, cenotes, lazy river, and waterslides offer a full day of adventure and relaxation. If you break down the ticket price by the activities included, it's actually a solid overall value. But let's be clear: this is not a 5-Diamond experience. The food is the biggest letdown. The buffet is nothing special--average at best. The fries, in particular, are almost always cold and soggy, thanks to a heating system that doesn't keep up, even when food is freshly made. It's the kind of food that fills you up but doesn't leave an impression. A few tips to help you make the most of your trip: * Buy tickets online in advance - This helps you skip the lines and sometimes score a small discount. * Avoid visiting during election season - Due to Mexican law, no alcohol is served during this time, even at tourist locations. If part of your plan is to sip a drink by the water, plan around that. * Skip the timeshare presentation - While it might sound like a good deal (free breakfast + discounted or free tickets), it's really just a pitch to buy into a discount program. You're not buying a vacation home--just access to marked-up offers with a "discount" tag. If you do your homework, you can usually find better deals on your own. Then they tried to insinuate that it was our fault that we missed our bus a 5-minute checkout turned into a 30 minute checkout because a f****** on their part. on the drive back from xoximilco, there was a group of about 10 people that were clearly intoxicated, being very disruptive and nothing was done about it. Skip the timeshare presentation they told us that we would get a $400 massage and it turned out to be maybe a $70 massage also they say it's an hour and a half from beginning to end and it took over 2 1/2 hours. The all-inclusive is definitely worth it if you eat a lot and drink a lot which is something we did. on our last night there we went to restaurant that supposedly had the tomahawk steaks come to find out they didn't they had sent their meats to another restaurant so that was very disappointing. While at the market Nassim treated us to delicious authentic mexican enchiladas and beverages. After leaving the market we went to the La Parrilla restaurant for the cooking class. This is when Nassim showed us he was more than a tour guide , he is a phenomenal private chef. He was extremely patient with us as we attempted to follow his lead as he showed us how to prepare the dishes. HIs knife skills are amazing and his use of seasonings is spot on. Nassim showed us how to make authentic corn tortillas for chicken enchiladas along with the red sauce , handmade sopas for chicken sopas and an amazing guacamole . Nassim and the La parilla staff treated us to delicious margaritas while the food was cooking. When the food was almost finished cooking, we assisted Nassim in plating the meal and we sat down with him to eat. Nassim excused himself towards the end of the meal to finish making the arroz con leche, which is a delicious rice dessert he served us. In conversation I had mentioned we were in Mexico to celebrate my birthday. Nassim , very thoughtfully and unexpectedly, had a slice of birthday cake brought to me as he and the restaurant staff sung happy birthday to me at the end of the class. Leo is an excellent driver and G was very personable and funny. We got lots of information on the places we were going - there was 5, 4 taco and one churro. All of different Mexican origins - all delicious. Churros really topped it off - sweet, crunchy and fresh. I would highly recommend this tour - it is a great way to spend an evening. Never seen so much colour under the sea before, felt so privileged especially when an inquisitive turtle swam up to have a nosy at us. On Isla Mujeres, instead of staying in the north of the island (where we docked), John was excited to rent a golf cart and so we toured the less touristic, south part the island. The north also had it's own charm, street vendors, Playa Norte (rated in the top 10 of the world's best beaches) plus it was also home to a phenomenal dulce de leche icecream, so much so I had 2 of them in about half hour
