This place is the WORST customer service ever. While the doctor himself was great--the lack of updated--well informed--reception staff make my stomach turn. The last thing you need when you are sick is to be lied to saying "Yes we accept your insurance" only to find out that a couple weeks later you receive a bill in the mail from them saying "NOPE we lied to you and now you have to pay us money." Let me ask this--Why on earth is you DID not accept my insurance did you charge me a copay? You clearly looked at my insurance card--upon that the powers of observation should have struck a cord and you should have realized, oh wait, I am sorry we do not accept it. Needless to say--we called back to question this-and were redirected to the rudest woman. She not only told me "I can't talk to you because there are patients in front of me" but she also then hung up. Meanwhile the entire conversation was in a rude condescending tone that is absolutely appalling. It is unfortunate for Dr Merrihew as he was great--but I will have to spread the word that this place is not worth the time. The below is also a link I found that highlights them taking my insurance. I have been been a patient at Convenient Medical Care for many years. Over these years, Dr. Merrihew has displayed a high level of caring and knowledge. He has never referred me inappropriately when I needed to see a specialist. As this is a walk-in clinic, I go prepared to wait, up to 2 hours. I don't mind a wait because I know that when it is my turn to be seen Don will give me his full attention for as long as it takes. read more

Convenient Medical Care Has the best Doctor, and the nurses and staff were more than professional !

This place is far from convenient. I've had prescriptions filled incorrectly, waited hours to be seen, and once, they even forgot I was in the room. I would have given it 1 star if it weren't for Dr. Merrihew, who (when you get to see him), is kind and helpful. read more

The wait was over 3 hours. The doctor was fantastic. The receptionist accepted our insurance information and confirmed that the medical care would be covered by our insurance plan. She mislead us because a few weeks later our insurance company sent us a rejection form. When we called the medical office for an explanation, the receptionist was rude and condescending. read more

Dr.Merrihew has the greatest bedside manors anybody could ask for. It really matters when youre feeling terribly Ill. His comforting manor and optimism made me feel that much better when I really needed it. I would recommend anybody and everyone to go to him, wonderful highly knowledgeable. It's a shame that other people felt the need to give poor reviews because they had a bad experience with the receptionist, wah get over it. No need to tear down his amazing practice. read more
