Otherwise not convenient at all. 2 hour wait in the middle of the day with only a handful of people in the waiting room. They should at least post their estimated wait time at the entrance so you can make a decision. "reserving your spot" online does not reduce wait times. read more

Went in for a quick blood draw, typically takes less then 5 minutes when I go to my primary. Checked in and was second in line. More and more people showed up. People kept going up and asking how much longer and each person was told "your next". We waited for almost 2 hours, got back to the exam room and was told "we will be right in". We waited another 20 minutes in the room, we could hear people talking about vacation outside the room. Opened the door to leave because we were over it and had other things to do and immediately the lab person jumped up and was like "I was going to come in"...yet she was sitting down talking to her co workers on her friend. As someone who works in healthcare this is unacceptable. read more

A 10 minute visit and a rapid strep test costs $321.00. Insurance says it was billed wrong. Convenient Billing refused to change the codes and offered no help and no other person or department to speak to. We will not ever use them again. No stars. read more

My husband had hives over most of his body, the "doctor" took one look at him and said "It's definitely Brown Tail Moth." We pushed back stating the pattern didn't make sense and that he was also on new medications. "Definitely Brown Tail Moth - those hairs get everywhere." And she rushed out of the room. A few days of the treatment later the hives increased and his face swelled - definitely a reaction to his medication as we suspected. Only went to this location because it was a Sunday and it didn't feel life threatening--will 100% never go back. A trip to the ER would have been well worth having an actual expert take more than 5 seconds to diagnose. read more

5/6/23 @3:30PM. I had just sprained my ankle and went to nearby Convenient MD in Cooks Corner. I was seen immediately by Physician Assistant named Paul. He was instructing an intern during the session, and I was struck by how deliberate, thorough and patient he was in describing his approach to analyzing my injury. His calm and professional demeanor was very comforting. The Nurse Practitioner, Dan, then came in, and I also found him to be very friendly, engaging and professional in his assessment of the injury. I was sent for x-rays and Dan came back in with the preliminary results within a few minutes. Fortunately they came back negative, and I was soon on my way home with cold packs for the swelling. I was in and out in less than an hour! The facility still looked brand new inside and out, and the colors and seats in the waiting area were very calming and comfortable. All in all, it was the best experience you could ask for, given the nature of why you go there! read more

The name "Convenient MD" is a complete oxymoron. While I understand that things get busy and wait times get longer, to be told 2 hours and wait over 3 and still not get seen is a terrible way to do business and unfortunately illustrates the sad state of "care for profit" that clearly is Convenient MD. If you are too busy to see clients then turn them away, don't string them along with false estimates. what's worse, my daughter still gets no care or medications after sitting in their lot for over 3 hours with a fever and likely strep. If you had said, I'm sorry we can't take any more clients for now, I could have had time to look elsewhere to get my daughter some help. I really hope you amend your procedures to better consider your clients' needs rather than your profits. read more

I arrived right at 8:00. The doors weren't open. It was raining and windy. The person behind the monitor just waved when I knocked on the door. Then 2 other employees came. They were a few minutes late. We are all late sometimes, I understand. But the person inside should have come to the door to speak to me instead of staying behind her desk. Or she could have let me in since it was raining! Once I got inside, she made no eye contact. She was unfriendly. She was not welcoming. She does not understand customer service. She may be having personal issues but they should not be allowed to impact the quality of your work at work. I hope the physician is warmer and more personable. That's important when you see patients all day. read more

They saw me quickly but the billing people are worthless. I handed them a retired Navy ID card and told them to bill TRICARE; they processed through VA and charged me $350. I so enjoyed bringing the bill to them, presenting them the retired Navy ID card again and said "Please read what I am giving you and do the simple thing this time and bill TRICARE (no expense to me)." I love repeating so people can finally do their jobs after great fuss. Worthless billing people; care was fine. read more

If I could give a lower rating I would. Obscenely long wait - ~3 hour wait with only a couple people ahead of us. $395 for a basic visit to confirm a cold was not strep. Failed to submit the visit to insurance despite having the information at the time of the appointment. Required multiple calls to get them to submit to insurance. read more

I'm surprised by the reviews here. We've been to this location a few times now and each time we received high quality care, thoughtful treatment and follow-ups. We've only had a small wait each time. I'm so pleased with the care we received that I recently chose to return over going to our PCP. They care and they're very organized and competent here. Don't hesitate. read more

No idea why this is called "Convenient". I scheduled an appointment online for my one year old, she simply needed a Covid pcr test to return to daycare. I made the appointment at 12:30pm for 5:00pm.I filled out all the paperwork online, provided my insurance information and arrived at 5:00pm. Once we arrived we were informed there were 4 people in front of us an it was going to be 30 min. Why have appointments? Anyhow, I go wait in the car. At the one hour mark my one year old is losing her cool so I am buckling her back in the car to leave. I receive a call saying it's our turn. This is when I am told it will be another 40 minutes once inside to see the provider. No symptoms and simply needs a test to return to daycare but HAS to see a provider so they can bill Insurance for it. At that point, I had enough and just went home. Don't bother making an appointment because they mean nothing. I understand it's a pandemic and it's busy but don't make appointments if you can't come close to honoring them and don't lie, if it's going to be an hour and a half tell me. I would have gone and gotten some dinner for my child and come back. Disrespectful of others time is not appealing. I won't be back. read more

Seriously, ConvenientMD? $283 charge to see a P.A., Kai, (who was SO clearly stressed, unhappy - hence, very chilly demeanor) for possibly 60 seconds; $25 for the nurse to administer a throat swab (and, for the rude response when I was confused about having to see a doctor following the test - - I was not sick) - and then another $100 charge from the lab. I'm very fortunate to have good insurance that covered all of the charges but I find it criminal that ConvenientMD is taking advantage of this pandemic to charge way too much money for very little service. Our medical personnel and the insurance industry are pushed to the limit right now - and we, the public, will pay for it through increased costs - among other losses. I will never come here again. I feel sorry for the staff. They seem bored and unhappy. read more

Me and my wife went to this location to get a covid test and at the same time to treat this nagging cough that we had for two weeks already. Place looks nice and clean and registration was pretty easy and quick. After registration we need to go back to our car and wait for their call. Wait is about an hour before we were able to go inside and get our test and consultation. The test was quick and straight forward but I am surprised about our meeting with our doctor,he just let us talk write a prescription and we're done he didn't even use his stethoscope like the regular doctor will do and listen to our lungs, remember we're there to treat our cough. They said that within 24 hours we can get the results of the test and just go to their website and sign up and we can already view our results. Signing up was easy but getting the results was not and when trying to call customer service you need to wait for at least an hour before you can talk to a live person, very poor customer service. The reason why I rate it this way is you don't need to make an appointment to get a COVID test unlike the other place and no appointment also is needed to see a doctor but patience is needed in this situation. That's probably the reason why they are called convenientMD. read more

I recently booked PCR tests for a flight back to the UK from Maine USA. When we showed up for the tests, we were told that ConvenientMD did not offer the RT-PCR test which was a requirement for one of our party. So this person had to book a test at Logan Airport for $250 - costing us an additional $75, stress and hassle. These tests are expensive enough - $175 a pop. The other members of our party proceeded with the ConvenientMD tests, and when we got our results back, it stated they were RT-PCR tests. So we could have avoided the extra cost and inconvenience if we had received the right information from ConvenientMD. I contacted the office but they refused to compensate us for our financial loss, despite the fact it was entirely their mistake. I'm very disappointed in this service and the fact you can't trust staff at ConvenientMD to give you the right information. read more

I entered ConvenientMD to get flu shot information and the receptionist could not be bothered to look up and address a simple question. She did not care I was there at all. I did not get the shot there. On attempt 2 I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and signed up for a Covid test. Despite signing up on line I still had a 12 minute wait. I got the test, the nurses were pleasant. I was told to wait for the doctor. I waited 20 minutes and had another appointment to get to so a nurse in the hall gave me a piece of paper that had instructions on the follow up. She informed the doctor that was sitting by the computer, eating, that I had to go. He shrugged and turned back to the computer and his snack. Clearly these experiences tell me that the staff is not exactly in the care business. They did not care if I was there or not. I have given them 2 tries and the benefit of the doubt to a sorry end. If you want conscientious service by a caring staff, you will not get it here. Perhaps they are competent. But they are not in the people business. read more

I was a medical person myself, and both myself and my family were very impressed by the caliber and kindness of the staff there. Long wait, understaffed. X-ray tech did bandaging, wrong writeup for injury. Only had PA there and he was rude. Did not do a thorough checkup. We got half the fall injury addressed. When we named two concerns he said " no, only one. Which one are you most concerned about?" Put a brace on (with great difficulty) that clearly stated that it was not to be used on a diabetic. He told me to show him where it said that. I did. He started to argue that that was a precaution not a contraindication. I pointed to "Contraindications" for him. The brace came off. It was a bizarre visit. I've been there before with a different doctor and it was not this kind of an atmosphere. No one else was rude. Two days later and need further med tests as the second injury concern is getting worse. I would suggest you go elsewhere if Kai is on duty - sorry Kai, but this is NOT your calling. read more

I would rather go to an emergency room and spend thousands of dollars than go to this place again. The first time I ever went in "Convenient"MD, I had to get an EKG done for chest pain. Several nurses tried to do the EKG, told me it was broken and couldn't be done. The doctor ordered me to go to the emergency room, because of their issue, or I had to sign a waiver saying they are not liable if I do not go and die. A week later, I get a call from the practice manager, mentioning, what is supposed to be a relief, that it wasn't the EKG machine that wasn't working, it was that the nurse didn't know how to use it! WHAT A RELIEF.....not. Then, I go in there for a COVID-19 test. I ask and make sure they do both a PCR, and a Rapid. They swabbed for both. The rapid, unfortunately, comes back positive, but with the inaccuracies, I ask for the PCR to still be sent out. I called a couple days later to check the results of the send out and was told, again by the practice manager, that the send out was discarded because 'the lab charges them a fee every time they send one out and because you received an (inaccurate) rapid test that was positive, we don't need to do this". Mind you, my girlfriend, who lives in the same apartment with me, her PCR came back negative. Finally, I call the ConvenientMD one more time, and spoke with the doctor about getting a PCR test who informed me that it was my girlfriends test that was false (the reliable PCR test) and that 'the booger on the swab probably just didn't get the virus'. This place is an absolute joke. Their doctors don't act like they know what they are doing, and just hope for the best. If you want convenient service, go to an ER. Even with the long wait times, multiple tests and huge bill - you're still doing better than getting misdiagnosed and wrong answers all the time. read more

Excellent staff, short wait time.i went here for a non life threatening reason and even though it was 7:30 and close to their closing time you wouldn't know it the staff was friendly and in no way did I have the feeling they were in a rush to send me on my way. I met with the Dr. Yes a Dr. Not a NP like most places he was great and never rushed and they were all still there until after closing and everyone of them took the time to tell me to feel better and call the next day if I had any Questions I'm so glad I went there instead of the emergency room (I would have waited hours) . Everyone there from making our initial appointment , to checking us in, to administering the test were some of the best medical professionals we've dealt with. I went to the Brunswick location at 7:45 on a Friday night that was also Valentines Day, they close at 8:00. I had whacked myself in the nose with a crowbar & sledgehammer I offered to go to the closest emergency room because they were closing, one of their employees followed me when I turned to walk out and said they were more than happy to help me, that this happens all the time and the employee brought me right back to get a X-ray she explained everything she was doing, she showed me the X-rays & put them on a disk for me to take with me if I needed to have anything else done later with it. My experience at the Brunswick location was amazing, fast & friendly I will definitely go back & recommend them to everyone I know. read more

I went in for a Covid test and to get my ears checked. That went well except after the results came to me there is a clause at the bottom of the printout saying " A ConvenientMD clinical team member will be contacting you regarding these results." So far there has been no contact by the company and, on top of that, I can't get anyone to answer the phone to answer my questions. It would be nice if someone that worked for this lace took time to answer the clients questions. read more

I visited the Brunswick, Maine Convenient MD Urgent Care facility yesterday to have a special test performed through a blood draw which is to be sent to Labcorp. Arrangements were made through my physician with Labcorp, and I was instructed to visit the Convenient MD facility for the blood draw. Labcorp called me to explain that the order for the blood draw would be available electronically through this facility. When I arrived, the receptionist said she had no record of any order and that they only receive orders through hard copies and that I needed to call my doctor to get the order faxed to them. She proceeded to tell me the fax number, just reading aloud the numbers. Another worker asked if she could write it down for me. At this point, after a one-hour drive, I was a wee bit upset anyway and didn't appreciate the callousness of the receptionist. I proceeded to phone my doctor at Tufts in Boston to find out what happened to the order--a big feat anyway, since the doctors are not just sitting around waiting to answer calls about orders. After an hour on the phone, Labcorp called a supervisor at Convenient MD to explain how the records had been sent and how to get them. It makes me wonder if these people at ConvenientMD are even trained. There were no apologies given by the receptionist who tried to "dis" me by saying that orders were not received electronically. It is a new service using a new lab, and the people at the front were not even aware of the changes and or how to pull up the info from the computer. If this s the front desk area, I can only imagine what's going on behind the scenes! read more

There is absolutely nothing "convenient" about ConvenientMD (at least not the Brunswick location). They have the worst customer service, none of them have a pleasant disposition and it's very clear that they would rather be anywhere else. They rush through things, misdiagnose or miss issues altogether, and trying to receive any sort of follow-up regarding that isn't billing-related is an absolute joke. You're better off going to a witch-doctor in the middle of the forest than you are going here. read more

I went to this office on Labor day. I went in because I was feeling sick and weak with red bumps covering about 70% of my body. I did not receive an exam and they refused to run any tests. I am now in the hospital and have been for 2 days with a low platelet count and elevated kidney values. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE! If I could give a zero star rating I would. read more

I went into this place for a tick bite. There was no wait and I was in and out quickly, saw the doctor for like, 10 minutes. I was made to pay a co-pay of $40 up front, with the balance to be charged to my credit card. The charge on the credit card was $210, and then I was further billed for $20 more, which was sent to a collection agency after one month!! I called and asked for a credit which they refused because "of the amount we billed your insurance company" (which didn't pay). Save your money and go to a regular practice or the emergency room rather than see these extortionists. read more
