NOT ALL CHIROPRACTORS ARE THE SAME...and this couldn't be a more truer and accurate statement to describe our experience with Dr Luther Chau at Convergent Therapies. My son was seeing another chiro in town and it was going well, but my son kept going to his chiro about his feet and knee pain (he'd just started running Cross Country). Trying to teach my son self-advocacy, I had him discuss his pain with the dr 2-3 times and then on the last visit I got involved to assure communication on the pain/discomfort was clear. Dr was clear, he said it was nothing to worry about. I heard about Dr Chau and his extensive training in extremities and thought we'd get a second option. After our first visit, we've never gone back to our original chiro, not because he/she/they were bad in any way, but because Dr Chau is so much better! Within 30 seconds (post discussion) Dr Chau visually called our 2-3 areas needing alignment (my son is flat footed), released an intense amount of strain in the hips (watched my typically non- responsive son wiggle from pressure targeting/ release on the table), some knee and additional adjusting, my son got up from the table and said "wow!" We walked out of the office with shoe inserts and a fresh kid ready to get back at it. That was 4 years ago and since then, we've continued to work thru other areas. Dr. Chau eliminated my painful lower back in only 4 visits. My back pain had been a problematic miserly to me for a period of 6 years. I have been to 7 Chiropractors over the years with little to no help. I was told about Dr. Chau from a friend in South Seattle. He had pretty much the same back pain as I had. I'm so glad I found Dr. Chau... I had been getting adjustments from another chiropractor who was very good, but did not "show my spine who's boss" : ) and I knew I had some areas that were just stuck until someone gave me a more vigorous adjustment. I am very active and I exercise and stretch regularly, but I was hurting and frustrated. Dr. Chau recommended I come in for some regular visits to reset my body, and I did: twice a week worked for me with my schedule and budget. Within a month I felt so much better! My adjustments are holding, and I'm currently visiting him once a week. Anything worth doing for your health is worth doing on a regular basis. He's also very skilled with acupressure techniques to release tension. And his fees are reasonable, especially if you buy a bundle of visits. He's a real find. read more

Dr. Chau is extremely personable and knowledgeable. He has treated my daughter in the past -with excellent results-which is why I chose to see him when I was having some issues and discomfort. What makes him stand out from other chiropractors I have seen is that he has a keen eye for anatomy & disharmonies that I can only describe as intuitive. One is set up with a plan for treatment so you are not signed up for adjustments into infinity and his office and staff are extremely pleasant. Dr. Luther Chau is an amazing person as well as chiropractor. He actually tries to help people get better and doesn't just keep them coming back week after week like most chiropractors. He is very gentle and sensitive to your pain while using fascinating techniques that are much more gentle than usual. I even have my husband going to him now. DR. Chau is passionate about what he does and compassionate to his clients. He is warm hearted, well educated and just pleasant to be around. Luther is excellent at what he does. I did find relief by visiting him. He is not primarily a chiropractor to me. He does other therapies. I was very disappointed he did not do more chiropractic treatment. The second very important issue I was disappointed with is after I had surgery and absent for several months, they have a policy to charge double payment ($79) because I was not coming with regularity. This is not okay. He promotes other therapies every time I went to see him. Promoting people I was not interested. Last but not least his staff does not know how to process Medicare and that was off the table. With all these important issue I have not returned. read more

Let me start off by saying that I rarely give 5 stars. I think 5 stars means everything was perfect. And in this case, it is very close. I went in to try something new after acupuncture wasn't showing me any results ( but I still believe works, just didn't do the trick this time ) and I was desperate. I am deathly afraid of being "adjusted" and bone popping. BUT, he's not only all about that. He talked me through everything and made me feel very comfortable. Pressure points & little jack hammer thingy that doesn't hurt but taps on you in places you need to be realigned. And finally starting to trust him more I was able to allow him to pop my ribs. WOW! Did not hurt at all! Felt amazing. My pain in the area where I've needed help in has not gone away yet. BUT, I have seen A LOT of improvement and he really shows he cares about his patients. Staff is also awesome. They are friendly and make you feel important. And did I mention they offer snacks, water, coffee or tea while you wait!? Nice. So if your looking for someone who treats their patients with respect and carefully guides fearful ones through every movement, then Dr Chau is your guy. Oh and one more important detail, he Crossfits! Which is a huge help to us fellow crossfitters. He knows the movements and what techniques we can do to improve those movements. Dr Chau is AWESOME. I've been going for a couple of years because he gives a great adjustment. My wife has never been to a chiropractor as she broke her neck 25 years ago in a car accident. Dr Luther Chow is an amazing chiropractic "healer". He helps to unwind the body is another way to describe what he does. He does some pinning and stretching to help areas release too. He is more than just a rack and crack type of guy. He also has a cold laser therapy on top of the chiropractic care that is amazing for all types of pain: if you are new to the area and looking for a good chiropractor id highly recommend Dr Luther Chau. if you are not getting results with the provider you have try this guy he not only does chiropractic and cold laser therapy but he gives you exercises to keep injuries from coming back as he used to be a massage therapist.. Dr Chau is a fantastic chiropractor. He approaches his field in a holistic manner. He not only treats your aches, but also gives you exercises to help maintain and strengthen your areas of weakness so you do not have to go time and time again. Dr. Chau is amazing! He studies and is dedicated towards continuing education. Why I really like referring friends to him is his background in deep tissue therapy. Everyone I've referred raves about him. His philosophy is to teach, treat and heal the patient so they don't have to see him forever. Dr. Chau and Dr. Angel are fantastic. I crossfit and sometimes my body needs adjusted. I am not injured... just need adjusted. A have had several doctors and PTs give me the sideways look when I tell them that I crossfit, but not these two. Dr. Chau actually belongs to the same gym as me and he understands what I do and how to help me. I appreciate that. I have had both the normal exam adjustments and also participated in the Functional Movement System (FMS) offered at the clinic. FMS really took me back to the basics and reminded me how to move properly - lunges, pushups, core strength, etc. - all of the things you need to maintain a strong body and move properly. Dr Chau is a chiropractor that individualizes his treatment to each patient. He always listens and does whatever he can to make you feel better. He is progressive with his treatment. He is the first chiropractor that I have been to that knows how to treat TMJ. Recently I have had massage from Nathalie who shares the office with Luther and she is amazing.
