I am so glad I listened to her suggestion! She was right when she said they take the time with you to ensure you end up in the right sneakers for your feet and walking style. The second I walked through the door I was greeted and helped by a very friendly associate. After asking what I was looking for, he had me roll up my pant legs, take off my shoes, and walk a few feet. By this, he was skillfully able to determine what type of support I needed for my feet. He grabbed a pair of sneakers for me to try on and walk in on the sidewalk outside. He was able to gauge that these shoes would be a good fit, but even offered to grab a few more for me to try. I was very happy with the feel, style, and brand of this pair, so felt pleased. An additional bonus: there is plenty of parking in parking lot. I am so happy to say I can enjoy my talks again in comfortable and supportive sneakers!

Every year, they have a major warehouse sale, which requires me to travel from DC to Wenham, MA. And I gladly do. They carry Cordani, one of my favorite brands. Other brands include Tory Burch, Yigal Azrouel, Kate Spade, Donald Pliner, and more. And they sell Foot Petals - yay! Staff is friendly and helpful. I am in love.

Re-doing my first review, now that I have more time…read more OMG, I love Cordani shoes. As in absolutely adore. I'm not sure how I heard about the brand, but I am thrilled I did. The shoes are cute, comfortable, Italian-made, and high-quality. I must have at least 7 or 8 pairs now. The retail outlet is next to their offices, and opened limited hours on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Prices at the outlet are extremely reasonable for such great shoes. Cordani has huge warehouse sales twice a year (June and December),which are super popular. You can usually meet at least one of the owners then, and they are both super friendly. However, if you unfortunately cannot visit Massachusetts, you can buy Cordani at Zappos, Nordstrom, or various shoe boutiques. I'm a Cordani fan for life.

I explained my shoe issues to her (along with the fact that I did not want to spend more than $100) and she started pulling different shoes for me to try. The salesperson helped me put on each pair, feeling around the toes for fit. When I had a pair that I thought I liked, she had me get on the treadmill to walk for as long as I wanted just to be sure. My favorite part of this visit though was that after buying 5 pairs, you get one free! I get new sneakers every 2-3 months because of all the walking so I will be looking forward to coming back. One wish- please carry more wide widths.

They never try to swindle or oversell. They will pull apart every shirt in that store for you to try on if you asked them to with a smile. These folks are professional. Is it different than the old "John Farley's", yes of course it is, it's under new ownership. I had not been shopping at J.F. for an incredibly long time, so I was not a yeas-long customer before they closed as many were, but I've had really great experiences at both. J.F. was a bit larger, and seemed to concentrate more on tailored suits and tuxedos than off-the-rack sport wear, outer, and casual, but Farley's still does tailored suits and still uses some of the same manufacturers. This means that if I need to replace a pair of pants on my charcoal suit which I bought at J.F. four or five years ago, I can. they have a lot of variety and carry a wide range of sizes across all of their brands, and they know which brands run small and which run large and will tell you! I'm a big, somewhat strangely proportioned dude, and yet just about every time I go here I manage to find something that I can wear comfortably. I remember on time we were talking about different manufacturers sizing and to prove the point they had me try on a Peter Millar XXL shirt and a Rodd & Gunn XXL. Millar fits me quite well, still a tad snug in the shoulders but fine. The Rodd and Gunn however wouldn't even come close to buttoning, there was about a 3 inch gap between the buttons and the holes! They predicted as much. So if you have a question about a brand, they will know the answer. They also carry 34 Heritage jeans, which are one of the only brand of jeans I wear for general use. The bottom line is that this is a top notch shop with top notch employees. It may not be quite as formal as J.F. and the below reviewer's situation is unfortunate, but when a business closes, gift certificates are no longer valid. It's a risk one takes with buying/giving them. If J.F. had sold the gift certificates after they had planned to close, they should have informed the person buying them that they needed to be used by a certain date and wrote that on the certificate. You can't really expect a store to give away free merchandise because someone sat on a gift for a long time or the former store failed to inform the purchaser of a potential close. I also know for a fact that John Farley informed people of their closing far in advance because every time iId go in to buy something for months before closing I was reminded at check-out.
