Convo Coffee is the neighborhood hug in a mug. It's a small, mom-and-pop spot where the owners greet us like long-lost cousins who finally showed up for breakfast. Do they actually remember us or are they just Olympic-level at pretending? Unsure. Do I love it either way? Absolutely. My twins sprint to the toy stash like it's their second home, then sip their hot cocoa at the mythical "no tears, not-too-hot" temperature. The cinnamon rolls disappear so fast you'd think I was sharing with a pack of raccoons. And the wall of police patches? My husband donated one of his, and now the twins point it out every single time like it's a museum exhibit titled "Dad Is Cool." My go-to is the banana caramel latte, which tastes like banana bread met a caramel cloud and said, "Let's get things done." Smooth, sweet, and just enough caffeine to activate my teacher, or parent, or both superpowers (depending on what day it is ) It's friendly, unfussy, and exactly the kind of place you want in your neighborhood, where your kids are welcome, your coffee is great, and your day gets a little better the second you walk in. I always want to support small businesses or family run spots so I was excited when I found this hidden shop on my way home. After checking hours and Yelp reviews (which are exceptional) I saw that days/times are limited (make sure to check before you go) so I stopped in on a day I knew they'd be open. Let me start by saying I love good coffee but can also deal with the not so good coffee on a whim. This coffee was really not so good. The syrups are store bought brand names, not homemade (that's ok), but even that couldn't help the flavor of the coffee. It was really bad. And like kind of sour/rancid. Something was definitely off. I had to go back to Yelp to see if I went to the wrong place because how could I be so wrong. I was at the right place. The bakery items were ok. Nothing to write home about. Nothing was super redeeming. I ended up throwing away the two drinks :| and one of the pastries. Almost $30 down the drain quite literally. Nice customer service. If you need a quiet place to sit, this is it. If you don't care about good coffee, this is it too. I unfortunately will not be back and that's a bummer. read more

Not a great experience, they close really early and it was dead inside. I wish they would utilized the actual kitchen space they have because there is so much potential. Unfortunately the customer service lacks care and perhaps a little music could help the ambiance inside. After they closed we saw at least 4 other people in search of coffee so perhaps they should consider opening late. The cinnamon roll wasn't made the same day and I was sad that it had been pre packaged the day before. Maybe heating it up to flash it back to life would help. read more

Cute shop seating for less than 30. The entrance hides behind a column, so if you don't see it you're still probably close. The staff was friendly and helpful. Located in a shopping center near 215/Cheyenne. Went here for coffee hangout. It's pretty small so it gets crowded very quickly. The menu is simple and there's not a lot to really explore. Food items are also minimal. Coffee was pretty good and so was the muffin. I like the homey feel to it, and there are games and activities to entertain you at each table. Overall it's a pretty decent spot. Wish the hours were a little later, but I totally understand why they have shorter working hours. I got their honey lavender latte and it was meh. I tasted more lavender than actual coffee. They happened to ask me if I wanted another shot of espresso bc they had an extra available so of course I jumped on that and said yesss please! The shop has a cozy vibe, and it seems like a cool place to hangout or study. I liked that there was a variety of board games available to play. They also have a kids table/area for littles. Their menu features Desert Wind Coffee for drip and speciality lattes and lemonades. They also have decaf espresso. I really appreciate that they have a number of sugar free syrup options! I ordered an iced sugar free white chocolate hazelnut latte with almond milk. The drink had the perfect sweetness and flavor balance, and tasted yummy. In terms of service, the staff was very friendly and eager to answer any of our questions. Overall, this is a cozy coffee shop and a great option for your coffee needs. No bitter taste from the coffee which is very important to us and happens frequently at other coffee shops. I recommend everything from their lattes to their homemade sweet treats! Service is excellent. The family that owns it are all so nice and kind. They really care and pay attention to your order. I ordered a timeless classic -- a vanilla iced latte -- to test how good a simple drink would be. I'm pleased to report that it was wonderful! It's balanced more on the coffee-flavor rather than on the sugary vanilla, which gives their cinnamon rolls an incredible entrance, This cinnamon roll was GOOOOD, ya'll! I had to fight back from ordering a second to take home. They warmed it up and even offered to butter it for me! This space is quiet and cozy, featuring drawings on the windows and a warm color palette. It's just like stepping into another home. You can tell the people running this space care a lot about curating a welcoming atmosphere. Lastly, this is probably the best service I've ever had. I met a girlfriend here for coffee a few days ago and they have my absolute go to coffee ... lavender latte. 2 sizes which of course I opt for a large one !! My friend chooses a decaf and she said the blend was so smooth and clean. They offer muffins and breakfast pastries but we were mainly there for the "convo" and coffee !! Mom whips up a few breakfast selections on the weekend which includes sausage and cheese or ham and cheese pockets. No eggs. My one suggestion ??? I understand protecting family and being passionate about a recipe but this is why Yelp exists - to provide honest feedback for improvement. I found this place on my way back home. I decided to pop in. They do have pretty short hours, so I got lucky with catching them while they were open. This place is located towards the end of Cheyenne right at the cusp of the mountain side. There's plenty of parking as it's located right inside of a plaza. When I walked in, I was greeted with just a smile and there was about one person ahead of me placing their order. The interior was pretty standard and I had plenty of space to sit. I did mention it was my first time and I didn't necessarily get any real recommendations on what to try. I did end up going with the traditional vanilla latte (as I always do) and wanted to try a couple of their baked goods so I got the cookie and the coffee cake. Their baked goods are ready to go so if you often take your things to go, it's great as it comes in a container. I did request for my coffee cake to be buttered and quite frankly I did not taste additional butter. I don't think that this was anything special, instead just a traditional cinnamon cake with a sprinkle of granular sugar on top. I also got the cookie and it was just OK. You can taste the granular sugar in there too. My vanilla latte was way too milky - the coffee to milk ratio was way off and it was noticeable in the shade of the latte. I was pretty disappointed as this place has phenomenal reviews, but what I purchased was not a reflection of the reviews that they have. I did notice a handful of other people coming in and it seems as though the owner knew them by name so I can see how this place can create such an impact. I really wish I had a better experience. this place is a 10/10!! everyone is so friendly and they make you feel like family every single time you come in! this coffee shop is run by 3 generations and you can really feel the love they put into everything. You HAVE to get Grandma's coffee cake warmed with butter. It is soo amazing! My other favorites here are the iced latte and the iced matcha latte. Upon entering the building you can tell this place is a gem, a hidden gem. The owners were there and greeted everyone that was coming thru the doors, which is amazing.
