This place is well run, has sit down eating inside and the staff genuinely tries to make your experience satisfying. We went to 4 restaurants, all the had waits, and decided to settle for this restaurant. Won't make the same mistake again. I got two corn dogs in the drive-thru. When I got home and opened the box I couldn't believe it. They were both burnt and inedible. I pulled off the hard crispy burnt area on the outside. As you can see, it was burnt down to the hot dog. The person that boxed it knew they were burnt. I guess they just didn't care. read more

Drive thru order. Nice employees, and quick service. :-) So many milkshakes and entrees to choose from. You just have to decide what you would like to eat First time at Cook out, and I didn't really like it but my husband and son said their food was decent. The chili was horrible, so I tossed it in the trash. My cheeseburger was ok, and the fries were good. My son had hush puppies, a cheese burger and fries. He said it was decent. But he really liked the hush puppies. My husband had a double cheeseburger, onion rings, and a corn dog. He said the cheeseburger was seasoned well, but the corndog was blah. Just ordered a hamburger with everything except cheese or onion. The hamburger has mustard, a small piece of pickle and a sliver of lettuce. No tomato but, I did find a piece of foil inside the meat patty. Usually the food is okay for fast food, a little greasy and the french fries are not good. The cashier was the absolute worst. Rude and wouldn't stop talking and got the orders wrong. She was not listening and after every word, she would say "is that it" we kept saying there is more and she just kept getting ruder until I snapped and got rude right back. Then she tried to talk to me and all I could do at that point was just tell here to stop talking g to me. Every table was filthy. She was nasty to some dude try g to just refill his drink. My experience: Drive through takes forever. They over charge people. Speaker in drive through is broken and hasn't been fixed in forever which mean orders may be wrong. Food here isn't the best. So, I did not order any food here at cook-out, but I had to write a review to holla at those milkshakes!! 40 different flavors that you can mix and match. I ordered mint chocolate chip with M&Ms and chocolate sauce and turned my night into a party! They aren't huge but they are very reasonably priced and delicious. read more

I hate to do this to any business, but I need to leave a 1 star review because... - It took about 8 minutes for someone to acknowledge us and take our order at the counter - After we ordered our ticket time was over 10 minutes before we got our sandwiches. - When we received them they were missing toppings (no tomato on the BLTs) and missing our shake. - We brought the missing shake to an employee's attention, she said nothing and went to the back. - At a 37 minute ticket time we inquired a second time and finally asked of a refund which we received. I just moved here from Los Angeles and really miss In n Out Burger BUT found cool out and love the menu love the prices and the combos. Food is fast food and it comes fast with good portions. I love hot dogs and get egg cheddar with bacon a lot and the corn dogs with the spicy fries so many fries! It is a consistent spot not always are the staff friendly but most of the time they are great and my order is correct. Young staff needs guidance and training in customer service. This place was DISGUSTING. It took almost 30 minutes to get my food and the girl working the register was incredibly rude. She acted like my being there and ordering was such a bother to her. Her attitude was TERRIBLE! The receipt said her name is Terry. Not sure if this is accurate or not but management needs to have a long talk with her about how she treats customers. She was rude to each person behind me as well. I know people have bad days but when you work a job that requires customer service, suck it up and be nice. I had major reservations about eating my food after seeing the dining area and drink station. I hope the kitchen was cleaner but it probably wasn't. Once my friend and I got into a debate about burgers, he was adament about Cook Out, I tried it and it was not good. We had a bet but we never actually had the official burger showdown. The other day I was craving a chocolate milkshake so I whipped into Cook Out and it was clean, they were friendly, newly remodeled and my milkshake was delish. So, today, I thought well, maybe I should give this Cook Out another chance, small burger, Cook Out style, chili, mustard, slaw and onion. Regular fry and a small drink. Four dolla, no holla. This place can be dangerous.... for the waistline. I have a lot of fond memories of Cook-Out near college and late night runs. This location off of Sardis Rd... used to be a backyard burger but it has been converted (for the better). Probably the first Cook-Out I have seen that has indoor dining space. I still have yet to try the indoor space, but the drive-thru is great. It is a bit tricky coming in and out of the parking lot, but the cravings will help you navigate the curbs and corners. You know a shake is good when it is so thick you can't even suck it through a straw! They are even prepared and give you a plastic spoon to eat it with. I guess the shake is more of a glorified ice cream served in a tall cup... but it's still great none-the-less. Finally tried the indoor dining room! Awesome. I especially liked the worker who handed me my strawberry cheesecake shake. She told me it was made with "so much love." I could tell by the way I practically inhaled it. Burger, dogs, chicken fingers, and more. Then add two sides. Such as corn dogs, quesadillas, fries or rings and more to choose from. And they make real quality milkshakes. I haven't been to a Cook Out in years but gave it a go again but different location. I had a taste for a burger and BK shut down. This place seems a weekend hangout one night I passed by. The menu was very thorough and more choices than I thought they'd have. The line was busy but not overwhelming long. I got a cookout style burger with fries and decided to get a hot dog as well with a sweet tea. I was asked what side besides the fries. I asked what else were options, I heard nuggets and i asked for nuggets which I thought was odd for a side. When I got to pay, the total was more than I was told as he handed me one of the drinks and it was the people's order behind me but mine was ready. I get home and that side needed up being hushpuppies which had me thinking they were referred to as nuggets but it was a mix up. I was charged the $11 but reversed immediately once the mix up was recognized. Nevertheless, everything was tasty. read more

me and my friend are from California, we were out here for the weekend to visit some family. the girl taking our order was insanely rude, first of everything got mad at us bc we didn't apparently order correctly, again we are not from here. we dont know what we are really getting. aside from that she snatched my card as she said the total, and when she gave us the food she closed, the door so fast. we wanted sauce and asked but she didn't answer. we got the wrong drinks, no sauce and were treated pretty inhumane. This chain was new to me when I moved to NC. It quickly became a favorite. While I rarely eat fast food, you gotta have a few bad days every once in awhile, where u need something quick and remotely edible. I always enjoy the cheeseburgers and hot dogs. The hush puppies and even the fries are pretty good. They have tons of milkshake flavors, and they are all fun to try. The service here is usually fast and the orders are always correct.
