they have great quick service here! love their banana pudding milkshakes. I also got chicken nuggets and hush puppies . these were so tasty and a great price.

Is this a regular sized burger?

I went through the drive in in Batesburg and was not impressed. The fries were lukewarm warm and my "regular" burger didn't even fill up the bun! The lady at the window was not very pleasant.

After getting my "big huge burger" order I noticed the meat was tiny half patties. I went to the window and talked to the manager and he said it was all he had left. I told him I wanted my money back and he said you aren't getting your money back and slammed the window in my face.

Literally forgot about my order and then had an attitude when I repeatedly asked about it after a 30 minute wait.

The restaurant is medium-sized with a small patio of about six tables. It was a beautiful day, so we chose to sit outside since the dining room was a bit loud. It took a couple of minutes for a host to seat us, but we did arrive during peak lunchtime on a Monday, so it wasn't a big deal. Once seated, our server, Seavy, was fantastic. He was very attentive, friendly, and had a great personality. I ordered the brisket plate, my husband had the half chicken, and the third person in our party ordered the brisket sandwich. My brisket was fantastic--very moist and a generous portion. The hush puppies were tiny but crispy and delicious, and the bacon-wrapped jalapeños were outstanding. My husband really enjoyed his chicken, which was also moist, along with the collards and coleslaw. The brisket sandwich was huge and came with coleslaw and a side of mac & cheese, and everything was very good. What stood out most was the portion size and the quality of the food for the price. Overall, we had a great meal and would definitely come back.

Paid right away, I think it's around $15 which includes all you can eat, dessert and drink. Cashier automatically gave me a senior discount. Excellent pulled pork BBQ, in 3 or 4 different styles/ flavors. My favorite was the smoked whole hog where you pull off what you want. Everything was fresh and delicious. Top of the line all you can eat BBQ for South Carolina and I can't think of any BBQ that beats the price. Plenty of seating and it was not too loud. We were able to carry on great conversation. Highly recommend. Sign out front said they have been serving BBQ for over 60 years.

They had a lot of meats from a couple different kind of pulled pork, to fried chicken, fried cat fish, ribs and brisket. The bbq didn't really blow me away. The sides i love their potato salad was wonderful and probably the best thing is they're hush puppies. Crispy and kind of sweet. If you like hush puppies you'll love it. Overall not a bad spot. I would eat here once a month or more if i live close. The food is not gonna blow you away but non the less it's a great deal for what you get. Also it was about 1pm on Saturday and they were pretty packed!

What an amazing concept. I can say that the food quality is pretty awesome especially considering the buffet style restaurant. I've been twice now and both times the food was awesome and they don't pull back on anything here. The only issue is they do have some weird hours but for what you get and how they do things it's totally worth a trip during lunch. I highly recommend hitting this spot if you're a fan of BBQ and have ever felt like you didn't here get enough of your favorite BBQ dishes.

Well, at $14.50 back then for the buffet, I thought I was in heaven. A huge array of choices that will induce the heart attack I was looking for. Price has obviously gone up a tick, but it's still a great deal imho. Since the restaurant was super busy, everything felt extremely fresh. As for mains, I guess I enjoyed the fried chicken a lot since I keep refilling ny plate with it. I also tried a little bit of everything else, including the bbq pulled pork, fried catfish nuggets, and meatloaf (Tuesday special). They were all good. As for sides, there were plenty to choose from. All the southern staples are here, like mac & cheese, collard greens, coleslaw, potato salad, hush puppies, etc. Don't forget to get some desserts too. I like their peach cobbler. A place like this can only survive in the south. I wish we had something remotely resembling Doc's back in NYC, but it'll never work. I'll just have to visit the south more often for gems like these.
