My son has a bucket list of foods he wants to try while in sc and off course bbq was on the top of his list. We have a favorite spot but we're closer to Mission bbq and figured we'd try something new. I will say service was friendly however price to ratio here is not worth it. There's other places where you pay the same and just get more for your money. I went with the brisket sandwich which was good but does not come with sides, two of my kids got burgers and added a side of fries and Mac and cheese, one liked the burger one liked the Mac and cheese, the fries were good as well. My oldest went with a two meat platter and added some Mac and cheese- all around besides the 6 year old they said portions were small but good. The strawberry shortcake was ok kids were happy with it. Good experience but would not go back.

First time customer. Was excited to try this place and the brisket/lean. Got home and opened up this. Everything else was good.

Wow! My cousin recommended this BBQ joint to us. It is a franchised place. It was quite crowded, but a good crowded. It was a revolving door of customers coming in to order, sit down, eat and go. Plenty of tables and a lot of space for large parties. We ordered the smash burger with 2 sides, pull chicken with two sides being fries and baked beans and my hubby ordered the sampler which I forgot to take a pic. It came with the best CORNBREAD we ever tasted in a restaurant! We wanted to ordered a box to go but it is not an optional side to take out. We will have to come back.

This was my first visit to Mission BBQ and man was I pleasantly surprised! The place smelled amazing the second you walked in. You can tell they're real people trying to make the best BBQ they can at a large scale. The staff was super friendly and kind, giving us recommendations for menu items and assisting customers with gladness. The menu is straightforward with some classic BBQ offerings. I opted for a three meat sampler with a few sides. The brisket was solid, especially for a large chain restaurant. The fatty and lean pieces were flavorful, smoked well, and tender. It didn't need sauce but that Blueridge Smoky Mountain sauce is something special. It has depth of flavor with a bit of sweet and smokiness that's excellent. The turkey was moist and flavorful, which is hard to pull off but they nailed it. The baked beans with brisket was great as well. Notes of brown sugar and spice were great. My only knock on the place was the salmon and the greens. I know what someone might saw, why get salmon at a BBQ place? But I was curious to see if they could pull it off and unfortunately they didn't. It was seasoned well but super dried out. Their greens were also a miss. They had tomato's in them and basically tasted like a bland chicken stock. Although those two options were a miss, the overall experience was great and I will be visiting again. Plus their mission to serve those who serve others is amazing. Can't wait to come back and try some additional offerings.

I was driving from Greenville to Charleston and looking for a late lunch without detouring too far off the highway. Irmo was an easy spot to hop off and had plenty of options right down the road. Having never bee, we didn't know how big the portions would be so we started with a 3 meat platter with a few sides. The brisket was just okay, but the sausage and turkey were both great. Plus we loved every one of the sides. We decided to get another platter with two meats and we tried the fries as well. We have some amazing bbq spots in charleston, but Mission BBQ definitely hit the spot.

I came here after a graduation for a celebratory lunch. On the walk in I was greeted with a lovely Smokey aroma and felt my stomach say "hot damn!" I ordered the pulled chicken which was oh so tender and juicy, the turkey which was flavorful too. Sides were Mac, collard greens and cheesey potatoes - smoked and to perfection and cheesy. I'm glad my first time having it was in SC but I also have a high expectation of it all over. 10/ 10though.

Date: May 4, 2025 Time: 3:41 Environment/Ambiance: Very spacious and military design and American flags Staff: Friendly Food: Pulled Chicken Sandwich, Macaroni and Cheese, Peach Cobbler, Collard Greens, Cornbread The food was incredible. I definitely love the macaroni and cheese, peach cobbler, and pulled chicken sandwich. I love that you can pick your bbq sauce at the table. I also this is my first time trying peach cobbler and I definitely recommend theirs. Cornbread is pretty good. This is based on my experience and overall I love the vibes and the staff were friendly.

Story time... this is my last day home before I go back to basic and my grandparents wanted to surprise me with lunch from my favorite place (Panera). We ended up leaving because they were out of, like, everything and I told them that mission was across the way and I've always wanted to try it. So we moseyed on over to try it. Long story short I think I have a new favorite place. The food was incredible. People were so sweet. And they take food allergies VERY seriously which was appreciated more than they know! 10/10 THE spot! Also special shout out to James for being awesome!

Our Romeo group of 7 went here Tuesday for lunch. First time for all of us. They had a great selection and it took us a while to figure out what entrees/sides we wanted. Several of us ordered the Brisket which comes with a piece of cornbread. As a side I got the green beans with bacon. Others got the Cole slaw and collard greens. All the sides were great. I ordered my brisket "wet", so it had a little fat on it and it was excellent. Very tender, very moist. We had others order the chicken sandwich, BBQ pork ribs, and pulled pork sandwich. The ribs were tender and fell off the bone. The chicken sandwich was loaded with a large amount of chicken. Every single one of us liked the food. After ordering my order at the counter it was ready in less than 3 minutes. Everyone's order was quickly served. Everyone was very helpful and friendly, especially Candace. our waitress that came to the table to check on us. She asked if we needed anything else and a couple of the guys needed straws, refills, etc...and she got them for us immediately and also explained some of the upcoming specials for the next week and forward. Apparently they do catering for events and parties. This was a real dining experience. Our group has hit over 150 restaurants in the Cola/Lexington area and surrounding communities, but this is the first one where every single member gave a restaurant a 5.0. rating. We may do a first and return again next week since Candace told us they were having a great special on the day that we dine out. I wish they had one of these over on the Northeast side. This is a Veteran's operation I believe. The interior is decorated with many pictures, sayings for military. At lunch everyday they play the National Anthem and everyone stands for the song and flag. If they were to put on of these on Forest Acres with Fort Jackson close by it would be a gold mine. We look forward to returning.

They opened at 11:00 and we walked in at 11:01, anxious to get our fish! The waitress was great and set us up quickly at a table and took our drink orders and brought us Guiness and teas. She heard all the chatter about the Fish N Chips and the next thing she said is "We don't have any beer batter yet, so no Fish N Chips! Immediately there were groans and moans. We had our beer and had come here specifically for the Fish N. Chips. She went back to check and returned saying "Yep, no beer batter so no Fish N Chips". Several of us joked that we may as well drink our beer and go next door to the Mongolian Yummy Stir fry place. We now started browsing for other menu items that we wanted. After about five minutes she came back out and said they could make up some batter but didn't know how long it would take. (How long does it take to stir up beer batter?). We said we'd wait. In the meantime two of our guys placed orders for the Scottish Eggs and Onion Rings for the table. They were both excellent. Three of us ordered the Fish N Chips and two had decided to go with the Bangers and Mash. One order for the Beef Eater sandwich, one Club Sandwich and one Rueben Sandwich. The food came out and the fish n chips were great. Not greasy, crispy, large haddock slice with great french fries. and green peas (which were barely luke ward, almost cold). The two guys with the Bangers and Mash loved it..Great sausage and the potatoes were excellent with mustard. The Rueben was great and also the Beef Eater. The waitress did a great job, checking on us throughout lunch. All in all, what started out as a questionable lunch turned into another fine lunch for the ROMEO group. The rating was 9.18 on the ROMEO scale...5.0 on Yelp scale. Only issue was something was wrong with the tea. It almost looked like water. Maybe because we were the first group in and the tea had just been made.

When the British Bulldog calls itself a "pub", I feel like it's one of the very few places that takes that moniker to heart. Even though it's located in somewhat of a strip-mall setting, once you walk inside the building, you're amazed by the authenticity of the inside. Personally, I loved the brick and wood that made up the interior, which gave the restaurant the realistic "pub" vibe that I mentioned earlier. Furthermore, I loved the framed, and hanging, soccer flags, which was a marked contrast to the professional and college sports paraphernalia at your typical American sports bar. I walked in kind of late, and just sat at the bar, which still made for a great experience. Even though it's an English restaurant, they still had a lot of the popular local and domestic beers, to go along with the more English-themed beverages. I asked if they had any "sours", and the bartender was kind enough to offer me a sample of the two (2) sours that they had on tap, and let me choose the one I liked the most. The aforementioned bartender was great, and I overheard him offering some folks from out-of-town with recommendations for nearby late-night spots and high-quality local joints. Finally, my simple order of chicken tenders and fries was pretty good, and I thoroughly enjoyed their steak-cut "chips," or French Fries. All-in-all, I waited too long to try out the British Bulldog, which was a great pub experience that definitely lived up to my high expectations. I'll definitely be coming back soon, and in turn, would recommend it to anybody else!

A Horrible Experience -- I Would Not Go Back!…read more I would never go back to The Burger Den for a hamburger unless I wanted to risk getting sick and throwing up all night! This happened to me about a year ago, and it was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. During my visit, the kitchen appeared dirty to me, the food seemed to be kept at unsafe temperatures, and I observed people who appeared to be friends of employees coming in and out through the back door and hanging around the kitchen area. On top of all that, my food came out cold. After eating there, I became very sick and spent the night throwing up. It was absolutely horrible! I have learned a valuable lesson: pay attention to the condition of a restaurant. If the outside is filthy and poorly kept, that is a warning sign to me. And if you walk into the bathroom and it is dirty, TURN AROUND AND DRIVE AWAY! Cleanliness matters, especially when people are preparing and serving food. Based on my personal experience, I would not waste my money here again. I certainly will not be returning. They need some serious help! HOPEFULLY THEY'VE CHANGED?
