Melanie Greene Once again we decided to visit Cook Out on 10th street in Greenville only to be disappointed AGAIN as usual. We ordered 2 regular burgers with mustard, pickles and lettuce and two large French fries. Not hard Right!! Guess again!! We get home and we have 2 burgers caked with ketchup (yuk), pickles and cheese (another Yuk) and one order of fries. Seriously, the ticket wasn't even right although we had to repeat this simple order 3 times to the employee! It read 2 regular burgers with mustard, ketchup and pickles and 1 large fry. How about you hire some decent help and at least get an occasional order correct since this seems to happen quite often and we are now DONE!!!! There are just too many other places to eat. I had 2 recommendations to try this place because I just moved here. The food itself was fire but everything else about the experience was cheeks. The guy taking my order cut me off before I was done and then wouldn't say anything else. When I pulled up and told him I also wanted a shake some idiot in the back yelled oh my god like doing her job was so hard(mind you I tried to tell them everything in advance). Cook out is so bussin! There are so many options on the menu that i can choose from. The service is always good, and my order has never been wrong. The prices are so good as well! A passable fast food joint with decent, but unhealthy, grub. The burgers, onion rings, and hush puppies are nothing to write home about. Tasty, sure, and better in quality than BK or McD's, but it's still greasy fast food. However, the Oreo and the chocolate malt shakes are outrageously thick and decadent. Props for amazing shakes. All in all, not bad for something grabbed in a hurry at a drive-thru. The only thing I think they could improve is maybe offering something like a side salad, not just the grease-bombs like fries and o-rings, so you don't have a completely unhealthy meal. read more

Went through drive thru for my daughter this past week, and they were seriously quick! The staff member who took our order was friendly, efficient, and all the food was correct and accounted for :). My daughter loved that you could mix whatever you wanted in your milkshake at no additional cost, and you can do the same for what you want on your burger as well! This was my very first stop at "Cookout", and I was pleasantly surprised! Yeah, you get what you pay for I get that...but the selection and options are crazy good for a fast food place and definitely a step up from your typical fast food joint! I've been to this cookout about 2 times in the last 3 months. Upon missing my opportunity to catch any cheap Asian, I decided to visit what I believed to be the better of the two cookouts in Greenville. Unfortunately, the service I once loved at this particular location seems to have vanished. Tonight, I ordered at the main window; I was confident I wouldn't be burdened by a 'mistake'. They usually rush you a bit when you are in the drive thru, often not giving you ketchup with your corndog-- as requested-- etc. I ordered the chicken strips tray combo and a cheerwine with no ice. They gave me a cheerwine with light ice and closed the window in a hurry just as I started to protest. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. When I got home though, I was shocked to see what appeared a large chicken strip ripped in half. I put the pieces together and yes, they had in fact turned a very thin and breaded chicken tender into two. They got me pretty good on that one. The thought of someone ripping my food in half makes me think someone isn't doing things by the book there... I decided to not complain to management, because I have had worse experiences at both locations. read more

If I could give them a 0/5 I would, probably the worst cook out I've ever been too. I've been to plenty of cook outs the other one here in Greenville and others out of town. I hate this place, people are always rude and the food is mediocre. I mean seriously, when you goto a food place and you find your favorite dish, you expect it to taste the same every time. That's not the case here, it depends on who is working. Sometimes the food is good, most of the time you could make something better in your microwave at home. My favorite thing is the cheese quesadillas, I still love them but this is absolutely the last time I will be getting them from 10th street cook out. They just don't care about the quality of their food. I have taken into consideration the fact that they are always busy yes, but let me just say I have seen plenty of places that have a line out the door and are still bringing killer food to the table. I come here all the time. Food is great and service is fast. However, tonight i came in after work to get a sandwich and a milkshake. When ordering the girl on the mic sounded rude and irritated, i brushed it off since as a server i know you can have your days. We get to the window and she tosses the bag into the car after snatching the cash out of my hand. She asked if everything was good and i told her i was missing my milkshake. I look at my ticket and see she rings in two. So I say there should only be one and she made a mistake. VERY NICELY. This woman (Calista) then gets an attitude with me, rolls her eyes, and grunts. Worst Cookout in Greenville. My order is right only about half the time. This location needs new management and staff.

The restaurant stays open late, while other restaurants are usually closing early. The Cook-Out does not close until 4 a.m., opening back up at 6am. It is open seven days a week. The appearance of the restaurant is delicate, made of brick, which gives it an old fashioned look. The inside of the restaurant is clean and well maintained. The employees inside are very respectful and friendly. They greet you with a smile as soon as you walk in the door. The menu had a variety of foods to choose from. I have not been to a fast food restaurant yet that can compete with their variety. Customers can add a variety of things to their burgers, from chili to slaw as well as several condiments. The Cook-Out offers many things such as cheddar cheese hotdogs with bacon, pork barbecue sandwiches, char-grilled chicken breast sandwiches, and so many other great selections. The Cook-Out takes it a step further offering chicken nuggets, snack wraps, chili and many other side orders. The Cook-Out offers food at a reasonable price. I usually get a combo for a little over four dollars. The best thing about their combos is that it comes with two side orders. These combos also come with a huge thirty-two ounce drink. I have not been to a place yet that can beat their price of combos, for the amount of food that comes with it. Most of the time I order the Cajun Chicken sandwich combo. For my side orders, I would usually order onion rings and hushpuppies, which is a type of bread. My drink is usually a cheer wine float with vanilla ice cream. The chicken sandwich combo is always satisfying for me and only cost about $4.50. The milkshakes that the Cook-Out offers are some of the best milkshakes I have had. The milkshakes sell for a little over two dollars, depending on the size. The milkshakes are blended with real ingredients, real fruits. I like the variety of main courses one could choose from, the selection of side orders, and the different types of milkshakes. This place has competitive prices, fast service, and the inside is well maintained. If one ever has the opportunity to visit this place, I definitely recommend it. read more
