We've gotten the chicken critter meal here for takeout twice and both times it's been really good! Always seems pretty busy, sometimes it does take a bit for the food to come out but it's always been hot and fresh! I wish there was a way to sub out the bread/ butter because it comes with a ton and we never eat it, but that Cesar salad is SO good!! Our 5yo and I both love it! The chicken strips are so good and again, it comes with SOO many!! Sometimes they're slightly soft but we reheat them in the air fryer for a few mins and they last for days!! Quite a few options for sides and good portions. Will update if we eat inside or try other items, but as of now we get the critter meal when we're coming home from the beach or a super busy weekend and it's perfect! read more

I visited Texas Roadhouse over the weekend with family we had in town. The place was packed but we put ourselves on the waitlist on the drive over, which was easy to do and we didn't wait long. Our waitress was very friendly. I ordered a cheeseburger and it was delicious. The fries came out hot. My father and husband had steaks and both enjoyed them. My mom had an order of ribs and said they were very good. The only complaint any of us had is how loud the music is. Very pleased with our trip to Texas Roadhouse. read more

We arrived and the place was packed, I thought we were going to have to wait a long time to get a table but we only stood for about 2-4 minutes as a party of 3 and then got seated at a clean table. Our server got us drinks quickly and was very kind and bubbly! She brought us rolls quickly and was very kind and helpful when I told her it was my first time there. My husband and I got a rack of ribs to share and it was only $22 for a whole lot of meat and multiple sides! I have never had good ribs at a restaurant before but these were bomb! I got every pennies worth. They fell right off the bone. Our server checked on us multiple times and refilled our drinks and rolls very quickly. Date of service 8/28/25. We've always gone to Texas Roadhouse because it's been the most consistently good chain restaurant we've ever been to. After over a decade of eating at TR we had our first terrible experience last night. Everything was off. Our steak was undercooked and tough while lacking flavor. The salmon was under seasoned and smelled like it was near to spoiling. The rolls were tough and overcooked, even the butter was missing the cinnamon. The only positive note was the Caesar salad was decent and the server was nice. I'm hoping they just had a very off night and that this won't be the new normal as I would hate to lose this dining option. read more

We arrived on Memorial Day at 5pm. The place was jumping. It was so crowded that we had to wait about 15 minutes for a seat. The waiting line is conveniently in front of the Bread prep station. The smell of hot fresh rolls was amazing! We could also see the fresh meat in a glass case. We had a super waitress named Reagen. She took good care of us. We ordered ribeye steaks with baked potatoes and salads. The food did not disappoint. The only complaint was the music was pretty loud. But it was such a happy atmosphere it was easy to overlook. I'm only going to give my experience. There were 3 couples in the group. All had at least some degree of disappointment. First, the server was great. I ordered a mixed drink from the bar and did not receive it until just before our order was served. I ordered grilled shrimp on a bed of rice with house salad and baked potato.i took my first bite of salad and was shocked to feel a long hair in my mouth. It was my first bite of the salad and strand of hair in your mouth with your food is discussing. I didn't want to make a scene because we were celebrating a cousin's anniversary. I just asked for a replacement salad. It was not served until our main course was served. Ended up asking for a takeout container for my salad. I must admit the grilled shrimp were delicious and cooked perfectly. Also my wife asked for no cheese on her salad but it was served to her with cheese. She had to pick the cheese out of her salad. There were some great moments with this meal is why I didn't rate as a one star experience. After saying this I would recommend giving them a try. I am a regular at this Roadhouse. The steaks are always cooked just right and are very good. However, just ate here three days ago and the salads, which are usually very fresh, were so bad that we had to pick out about 30% of it, which was not edible. They used to be very fresh and something I looked forward to. But they are falling down on the job with the salads. They need to have better quality control or another supplier. read more

Texas is a BIG hit for a lot of people in the Greenville area. Though I'm not totally sure of the appeal. It's a typical chain steak joint with burgers, salads, sides, and desserts. The steaks are usually done right, through at times they miss the mark and overcook the mediums. Flavor is good, and selection is excellent. Though the steaks are great, the rolls are where it's at...warm with a side of butter or cinnamon butter! They have healthy options and a few smaller dishes for lighter eaters. The food isn't the challenge... The wait staff are usually pretty good and keep the drinks full most of the time. If you're a single guy who enjoys a beautiful waitress, you're probably gonna enjoy it. However it's SO LOUD!!! Do not plan to have a business meeting or an intimate conversation. The music is way too loud, and gets louder when it's time for the wait staff to come line dance (at the regularly scheduled times). It's just impossible. This is the main reason I rarely go any more. Be careful letting your children poke around on the table-side touch screen. It is not clear that the games are Pay-2-Play. You'll get your bill and see the up charges. We never knew we had to pay to play a game at our table while we waited. Still, the owners are supportive of local schools and clubs. Many students (and teachers) will come in with coupons from the school given as rewards for some academic achievement. The support the PTA and lots of other organizations. They try hard to be a community member and "give back" to Greenville/Pitt. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are always packed and expect long wait times (1hr+). read more

I arrived at 755pm and checked in. Sat for 45 minutes waiting on my order. Waitress that was coming to the cars for pickup said pet of the order was ready, still waiting on the kitchen to finish. At 840pm went into the restaurant to demand my food. Finally received my order. Got home and all my food was cold and no cactus blossom. No apologies from the manager that finally brought my food to me. Sadly this is not the first time we've had a bad experience with this restaurant. Will not be coming back. read more

Loud - yes. High energy servers - expected. Ability to talk due to noise, almost non-existent. Food good, all as expected. At the end of the meal, Server rushed to ask if we were ready for the bill, turned the table kiosk toward us to show total and said "You can use this if you're paying by credit card." I told her I do not use the table kiosks, at which point she said "If cash, I can take it." No offer to run the card for me, so I gave her $40 for a $34.75 bill. She returned and said "Your change is $5 and change" and gave me $5 back...........no quarter. I respectfully would like to remind Texas Roadhouse that if I'm due $5.25 back, I expect $5.25 back. The decision regarding the quarter is the customers, not the Servers. Also was not offered a printed bill. Won't be back to this location. read more

My family comes here a lot for dine-in. I wanted to try something new and ordered the family bundle meal for four people. I was disappointed that the chicken tenders were little pieces of overcooked chicken nuggets with a few chicken tenders. The smaller pieces were inedible due to being way overcooked. The salad was enough for one person in Styrofoam to go box. We only received eight rolls instead of the 12. The mashed potatoes didn't come with gravy I ordered. We have been to this location at least 30 times. They are the most consistent service and food Greenville has to offer. They get busy but if you go ahead and get on the waitlist it's not bad at all. Most of the time we add ourselves to the waitlist when we're at the house and by the time we get to the restaurant we only have a 10-15 min wait which is great .
