This is the rancid bacon I was served this morning. Jacob, the manager, doesn't know what the word "rancid" means. His simple ass kept asking me what was wrong with it and I had to break it down like I was talking to a toddler. He was also either sick at work or had put some snow up is nose, because he was sniffling and snorting every two seconds. They aren't concerned about selling spoiled meats, apparently. Jacob and May are absolutely worthless and one way or another, Bagelman is going to make you sick. Quick reminder of their Health Department violations: VIOLATIONS Proper cooling methods used; adequate equipment for temperature control Food separated & protected Physical facilities installed, maintained & clean Proper cold holding temperatures Handwashing sinks supplied & accessible Edit after Bagelman's response: I think the fact that they think this was just a complaint about their bacon shows that they genuinely don't comprehend food safety. And I absolutely told you what you could go do - this was after being told that you didn't understand what the problem was and I said that you need to check food quality because you're going to make people sick. Notice how I never asked for a refund? I was calling to keep you from making your customers sick, and taking ANY accountability was well beyond your capabilities. A decent business would be concerned with selling rancid products - and Jason didn't know the word "rancid", btw. You can literally see the photo. That isn't what bacon is supposed to look like, my guy. Worse, there's no way it didn't look or smell off before it was prepared and put on a sandwich. These bagels don't taste like authentic bagels. They taste way too much like bread that you can just buy in a loaf. There's nothing like a good NY bagel, but you can't find that anywhere here in Greenville. I wish that Einstein's bagels was not located on campus. This review is just for the bagels and cream cheese, and the mini chocolate-covered cannoli's. These are the only items we've had here. Highly recommend all three items. The bagels are light and toast up with just the right amount of crispy chewiness. Typically we get the Everything, Seasame and Poppy so cannot speak to the other flavors. We also always get the Veggie Cream Cheese. The mini cannolis are yummy too. read more

Love this local cafe/bakery for breakfast and snacks. I usually don't like bagel because they are hard to chew, but I like Bagelman's. Made in house they claim and it is different than store brought or chain. My go to is bagel with peanut butter, or egg and cheese. Their pies and cakes are great too, except for the muffins, muffin was dry. I would avoid their deli begal sandwich. Too little deli meat. It is always crowded on the weekend morning so you know locals love them. read more

I've heard good things about this place but I've now tried it twice and both times there were issues. The first time was on a military discount day and I showed the person my military ID. I realized after I left that I had not received the discount. Decided to try it again today. I ordered the pastrami sandwich which shows as $13.99. The person checking me out asked if I wanted everything on it. I first asked what everything meant and she reeled off mustard, onions, Swiss cheese, etc. I said yes, then was charged an extra $1.38 because onions and Swiss cheese are extra. IMHO, asking "do you want everything" implies it's included. If something costs more, then that should be framed in another way. Perhaps, "the sandwich does not include Swiss cheese and onions. If you want them they cost extra." It felt like an underhanded way to extract more money. Just my opinion. read more

We loved it so much, my husband asked to go back a second time! We went after church with our son and a few of his friends. The bagel sandwiches were incredible--lunch sandwiches on our first visit, breakfast ones the second time, and every single one was delicious. It's the perfect spot for a quick, easy, and affordable meal. The place has a cozy, bakery-style feel, and the service was fast and personal--they took your name and brought the food right to your table. The food itself was average I'd give it a 5/10 but the customer service was disappointing. For 2 meals 30 dollars , you'd expect at least a drink to be included, but it wasn't. After eating, both I and another family member ended up with stomach aches, and I even developed a slight headache. On the positive side, the food didn't take long to come out, but unfortunately the restaurant was not clean, which really affected the overall experience. and they don't have ranch! read more

We just ordered breakfast here. A breakfast wrap for me with an extra egg, cheese, spinach, mushrooms, onions, green peppers and turkey sausage. My boyfriend ordered a plain bagel, double toasted with sausage, egg and cheese. We placed our order at the kiosk. It was busy, but our order was ready pretty quickly. We got our order to go. I was so disappointed. I didn't get my extra egg that I paid extra for, and the veggies were all raw! They were not cooked whatsoever. It was disgusting. My boyfriend's bagel was also not toasted. Went there early Saturday. Didn't have all the types of bagels listed on their website. I wanted sweet ones for a breakfast - not jalapeño or everything. The customer service is great, however, it seems to takea long time to get your order. This was the second time I have visited, and each time I had to ask for my order. My order wasn't anything large, it was just a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese on the side. Also, the coffee seemed awfully weak. I always select bold coffee because I enjoy the flavor of coffee. When I was pouring my coffee into my cup, I noticed how weak the coffee was by the color, it was more on the consistency of tea. We went early on a Sunday morning. Was not too crowded yet, but they were well staffed. We got a couple bagels and ate them there. Good food! They also had a cooler with juices, milks, sodas, gatorades etc. and tubs of their homemade cream cheese you could purchase. They had a case of fresh pastries, we got a couple cannolis and a cookie to go, excited to try them! They have a wide variety of cream cheeses and sandwiches. First time customers, but so glad we tried it! Pastrami sandwich was one of the top 3 pastramis I've ever had. Got it with no tomatoes so it was a little more traditional than with LTO. Also tried the cheesesteak and the triple chocolate walnut brownie. The cheesesteak was huge and steaming hot. Prefer the cheesesteaks at Cubbies but this one was still tasty and more value for the price. The brownie was AMAZING! So decadent and delicious. Had it with ice cold milk when we got home yesterday. Update July 11, 2023: Third visit since initial review as this is now a go-to place for the amazing pastrami sandwich. This time we waited about 20-25 mins for my pastrami sandwich and my husband's rueben sandwich. We weren't thrilled with the wait but as soon as we took the first bites we both decided it was well worth the wait, the meat and bread is just that good! While my husband was up getting a drink refill, a gentleman came out from the kitchen and gave me a $15 gift card to compensate us for the wait on our order. That was so unnecessary but very much appreciated. We were already planning to return again and again but this just shows how much they value their customers. The prices on the menu board in this restaurant do not reflect what customers are charged when ordering. According to the Consumer Protection Agency "restaurants are required by law to make sure that their menu prices are accurate". This discrepancy has been pointed out to Bagelman but they continue to this practice.This is illegal. read more

Great choice for any time of the day in Greenville, NC. If you love a good bagel and can enjoy it as a sandwich as well, this is the perfect place for you! Only downside of this place is the desserts, they look great and don't taste bad, it's just a lot of them are not made in house but rather purchased from large vendors.
