Using KNG Delivery, for dinner tonight, I ordered a Big Double Cheeseburger with everything, and half of a Double-Chocolate Milkshake (yummy x2) And, 2 BLTs, to make 1 super BLT for brunch tomorrow. Since I've previously reviewed their BLT, and the Big Double, this review is for only for the, Double-Chocolate Milkshake. While it's a good milkshake, I'm not seeing where the "Double-Chocolate" comes into play. Especially, since due to more mixing, one can see some vanilla throughout the milkshake. Seems to me, no different than a regular Chocolate Milkshake from anywhere else. I know, I would have been better off, ordering a Chocolate Cherry or, Chocolate Fudge, milkshake. read more

I like the burgers and chorizo quesadilla I've had at Cook Out; but instead of 4 stars I have to give them 3 for service and menu confusion. We were in town and stopped by this location of Cook Out to grab a quick bite to go from the drive through. The menu is kind of confusing because I order a burger and get 2 sides; but the sides are like a quesadilla, hot dog, etc. They just need to leave it at a side of fries or onion rings; too much of a good thing can be dangerous. They had a "hot dog special" sign in the parking lot that said get a hot dog, fries, and drink for some special price; so when we went to order we asked for that and the cashier had no clue what their hot dog special was, which means they need to not only train employees, but make sure they are current on the menu. I love me some Cook Out! Our first experience with Cook Out was in Asheville, North Carolina and it was completely by accident. After that, we did research to find the nearest location to Dublin, GA and it was in Statesboro (at the time) so we had a road trip JUST to have the Cook Out. I was sooooooo excited when I was driving through Milledgeville and saw this new baby pop up! They have the layout of the menu pretty simplified. The best deal for your money is to get the tray. This trip I went simple and got the burger with a corn dog and a chicken quesadilla and upgraded to a blueberry cheesecake shake. All for $5. You seriously can't beat it! You can also get the burger different styles like "cook out style," "cheddar style," "steak style," and "out west style." The meat they use has great flavor and really does taste like it has been on a grill. If you order onion rings as one of your sides, be warned you only get like 3 or 4. You can choose to double up on them though. My momma got a burger with chili and onion rings. The chili is pretty good, but I didn't care of it by itself. It's good on the fries, especially if you add cheese. The possibilities of combinations are endless! So far my favorite is the cajun chicken sandwich, chicken quesadilla, and fries. I've doubled up on fries before because they're that delicious. I've had the chicken nuggets before; they're nothing special, but if you have kids, it's a good option to have. Same for the corn dog. I guess there isn't too many ways to spice up and cook nuggets and dogs. I've also had their bacon wraps and chicken wraps (cajun style) and I enjoyed both of them. These workers need to get their attitude in check. The lady who took my order was so rude and yelled at me asking for my drink order. When I got to the window she tossed my order and my order fell on the ground. She slammed the window and ignored it. When she noticed that we were still there she opened the window and said "I don't know what that was. Can you check" are you kidding me?? And then after she slammed the window ONCE AGAIN we waited for her to reopen it and asked if we would have sauce and she quickly cut me off saying "no I don't have any." The 3 stars is reluctant. I was hoping for better service. The place is obviously new, but they still haven't worked out the kinks. The burger appear fresh formed, but smaller than the bun which leaves for too much bread/meat ratio. Don't like that you have to pay extra for tomato and cheese, cheese maybe. Ordered with cheese and tomato, however did not get cheese and tomato. Returned to ask it to be fixed, was informed that it was extra. I explained I requested cheese and tomato. They re-made sandwich, still no cheese and tomato. I don't get it? Anyway, place was clean, I hope they work out the service and communication issues. Nothing to write home about. I've come here a few times and each time things just get worse. This last time did it for me...I was asked to pull to the window and place my order.... waited in line about 10 minutes before I got to the window (no way out cause I was in the left lane), once there the young lady said we're serving everything but burgers. Fine the burgers don't taste right anyways. 2 chicken quesadillas and fries. 3 minutes later she reaches out the window and hands me a styrofoam container. I laugh and ask can I get some ketchup for my fries, napkins and a bag. She does apologize, but proceeds to tell me how she just trying to move the cars along so her drive thru doesn't get backed up. This is a hopping place due to price and drive thru. We went inside and ordered 2 JR. trays. It was 1:37 when we ordered and we are still waiting for them to call our number. Very slow service for a burger. So it gave me lots of time to look around. The first impression was not good. With all the coronavirus scare, this place is filthy. Outside there is trash on the ground. The floors inside are gross with fallen food and bitss of paper. Look up and the light rods have dust ready to fall on the ground. The ice tea was empty and they had a gallon pitcher next to machine. The womens washroom was messt and the trashcan lid laying on the floor. Very bizarre for a newish place. Management must be to blame. Finally had our order called and waited with 4 other people. So you go up and wait for the guy to deal with everyone. Its 1:50pm. Food was okay, the onion rings were battered nicely but chewy and only mildly warm. I would say it was below average. Hush puppies super and the shake was excellent. They're still fast food. Y'all complaining about dumb things like smallish burgers (don't get the smallest size. It's still fast food, and the people working there are still humans... and to err is the definition of humanity. Get your fries with cajun seasoning (free upon request). It'll be a little spicy, but 10x more delicious... I promise. You can hold me to that. Also, always get the tray. It's worth it. Where else can you get a chicken ranch wrap... AS A SIDE? Furthermore, for another dollar, you can get a milkshake for your drinks. Now here's the most important thing: MILKSHAKES. Yes, okay. You pick out your flavor, it's thick and delicious (and start with a spoon because you're not an animal). But here's what you may have not known. You can put as many toppings/mix ins in as you like. For no extra charge! So go crazy, because everyone else has a $.50 charge for an extra topping. But not cookout. Now, it's happened once that I got too crazy, and it wasn't good. Think coffee/oreo/m&m/double chocolate/chocolate chip etc. Too busy; not delicious. Good flavors to try: mint cheesecake oreo is my all time favorite. And I've heard rumors from when I was living in Asheville, they literally put a piece of cheesecake in the shake. We went a lot when it first opened and have since gone less frequently but every time..tonight included.. you get the service level that was given at the time of the stores opening. Well when I lived in Milledgeville, GA my Aunt and I went there a few months after it opened up ( we learned never go when a business 1st opens) well the food we ordered was smaller than the price we paid for it and took quite a long time to get the food at that (slow service). Needless to say we can get better price for food at Sonics or Checkers than go to this Cook Out restaurant and more bang for out buck. Shortly after they opened about 6 or 7 months afterwards I noticed the store in Milledgeville, GA didn't get a whole lot of business anymore. read more
