Chicken Alfredo

We have recently switched our meal delivery service to Cook Unity to get better service and better tasting meals at dinner. We only get 4 dinner meals for the week and the rest we cook for ourselves or go out to a restaurant. We try to stick to low carb or keto meals with our meal service to cut down on calories. So far, we love our Cook Unity meals because they are fresh, not processed or frozen. They are restaurant quality and are made by respected chefs around the country. You can really tell the difference! Cook Unity offers flexible plans, allowing weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly deliveries you. They also offer vegan, keto and low carb meal. There is a variety of countries to chose from: Italian, Mexican, Mediterranean, German, French, etc. They are priced a bit higher than other deliveries but they are worth it in taste, freshness, and creativity. It's so nice to not have to cook or go grocery shopping. So far we love the meals. I will do an update if anything changes.

I'm new to the Cook Unity community. So far I'm enjoying the chef quality meals that heat in the microwave in just three minutes. Not only are the meals delicious but also allows me to control my calories and monitor my sodium intake. Customer service was excellent, responsive and answered and resolved my questions and concerns timely.

Shrimp Cacio e Pepe with Adobo Spice

I started with Cook Unity a bit hesitantly, and even canceled at first because I wasn't sure--but after tasting the first five meals (one was missing, but they promptly reimbursed me), I was hooked. I ended up canceling a different subscription service (not a food one) just to make room for Cook Unity, and honestly, it's worth every bite. The food is INCREDIBLY delicious--and here's the kicker: it's NOT frozen. You store it in your refrigerator and heat it in the oven (about 15-17 minutes for me), then plate it beautifully for a restaurant-quality experience at home. I personally opted for six meals, but you could choose as many nights as you like. The Shrimp Cacio e Pepe with Adobo Spice? OMG!!!! So freaking delicious. I've attached a photo because words just don't do it justice. I don't rave lightly--I don't get paid, and I'm not looking for recognition. I just tell it like it is: Cook Unity is AMAZING. Cancel whatever meal services you have and try this. You won't regret it! PS. I believe they are an LA based company, but I use their service in Maryland.

The cook Unity hooked me to a trap and played me a scam tactics 4/20/2026 This is what happened, I ordered my food. I gave all my information such as credit card and so on. After a few minutes passed by, I checked my account info in their website I found out that my address in their record was wrong so, I immediately went to their edit section to correct it but unfortunately I failed. I contacted and chatted their computer generated receptionist. He recommended me to speak to one of their representatives. I spoke to shella via chat online on 4/19/2026 from around 9 to 10AM, according to her that there's nothing she could do for me because the food was already charged and processed and it will be delivered to the designated address pertaining to their record on file that was iDavenport, Iowa. But I just ordered it, not very long ago few minutes. I told her about it. And I also added that I live in Los Angeles California. I sent her my address and demanded her to send it there. The last thing I heard from her was - that she's going to see what she can do for me. And then, she instructed me to go to their edit section site to correct it after 12 PM that day. It shows that she didn't even care about me because there's plenty of time to correct the issue if she really wanted to help me, since the food delivery schedule was on Thursday 4/23/2026. I just ordered it a few minutes ago, 4/19/2026 that day. 12 PM came, I went to their site but no success so, I decided to do it first thing in the morning. It's 4/20/2026 from around 7 to 9 AM , I spoke to one of the cook unity employees by the name of Pedro, He said the same thing to me like Shella. At one point, he advised me to retrieve my food from Iowa even I live in different states. I literally sent my ID to him to prove my name and my residence. I was begging and reason to him that the food will be landed to a different city and states and different door step. He just said " Oh yeah you're right". It shows that they are not even care about people. A Customer like me where they will get their wages. After a long discussion, he finally admitted their mistake because the client has 48 hours to alter or change his or her order. I contacted and notified Shella about my problem the very same day I ordered the food. So, I requested to cancel my subscription and get a full refund but he said that he put it to a cook unity wallet. I can only retrieve or avail it on my next order. It means I am stuck to their stupid program. I am going to dal for with them for a while. The Factor meal didn't give any hard time when I decided to cancel my subscription due to few selection of veggie meal. This is the way the cook unity of to trap and scam they play,

Ill give this plave a 3.5 because theres no description of what they put in their food. I loved the crab salad, it has alot of mayo. The cu cai salad was raddish with sesame sauce. It was refreshing. For this fish, i got nuc mam and honey wasabi because they dont have these at usual poke places. The nuc mam has peanuts in it. This one is a hit or miss. I was fine with it since it was different. The honey wasabi was really good until about the 5th piece. The taste kinda got boring and it ended up being tooo saucy. The wonton chips it comes with was amazing. I was worried there wouldnt be any because it said it was sold out. I wasnt sure what volcano was as it just said volcano but if i do come again ill probably try that one. I didnt get a picture of their menu items and i felt like someone was waiting to use it. Theres a decent amoutn of parking since most come and go since there is no dining area.

The reviews steered me right -- this place is outstanding. Everything arrived beautifully packaged, almost like opening a curated box rather than typical takeout. The presentation alone was impressive: neatly organized compartments, pristine nigiri, and even a printed guide showing what each piece was. It felt thoughtful and elevated from the moment we opened it. The fish itself was exceptionally fresh. The salmon nigiri was buttery and soft, the tuna clean and vibrant, and the tekka maki perfectly balanced with tender rice and generous fish. Nothing felt rushed or sloppy -- every piece looked like it had just come off a sushi counter rather than out of a delivery bag. Even the small details stood out. The edamame was perfectly cooked, the sauces were neatly portioned, and everything traveled well without getting smashed or soggy. And because honesty matters in Yelp reviews: my Shiba Inu immediately stationed herself next to the tray and strongly endorsed the tekka maki. High praise. If you want high-quality sushi delivery in Beverly Hills that actually arrives looking and tasting like restaurant sushi, this place absolutely delivers. I'll be ordering again and again and again.

Between my long commute to work, workout schedule and other daily needs, sometimes it's just super nice and convenient to have a meal ready to eat that's loaded with the essential macros I need. I order about every other week and so far I've been very pleased with the taste, amount of food and the spectacular presentation. What I recommend (so far): Chimichurri Steak was by far one of my favorites. That Chimichurri sauce was so perfect. The beef was perfectly cooked and I could even taste the grilled flavor in the meat. Breakfast Pizza with light marinara, scrambled eggs, sausage and pepperoni totally hit the spot!! I'm a huge pizza fan and this was perfection in the morning. I air-fried 2 pieces each morning and savored every bite. Steak & Eggs was delicious. Bibimbap was fantastic!! The sauce was excellent and mildly spicy. I added extra sriracha and tamari sauce. I still have a Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese to try but how can you go wrong with that?! Thank you to Meals of Steel for taking some of the work out of my week and keeping me happy and fed!!

So it's quite the coup that I finally made it on over to the Heights DABS! A slice of that 18 inch pie is on the brain today as I skip up the mini-staircase into the joint. Having just come from another not-to-be-named Pizza spot in the DTLA to NELA corridor, my hangdog face belies my energetic hoppin-pep-in-the-step into Heights, shaking off a droopy and disappointingly dry slice amidst the brain-bleeding profanity laced hate-punk screaming over that joint's speakers as I sized up the Margherita I always use as an avatar to benchmark how we dooooin' in the pizza quality and taste department no matter where I go. I confess I've been captured and SPOILED by love affairs with Greek Pizza in Boston, Deep Dish in Chicago, NYC greezy gooey goodness at 3am, and of course the ultimate seduction of sublime simplicity of the Neapolitan Pizzas of Napoli. Yes, I am a sucker for the traditional brick oven Margheritas and Bufalinas of Italia, just that simple barometer of OG greatness, minimalistic bliss. Less than 5 bucks and 10 min later, I'm ambling down said teeny stairs with a large warm white cardboard box that seems far too large for a mere SLICE. Have they made a packaging error? I was expecting a small thin wilty Dixie plate! These days, we don't wanna waste cardboard, do we? Driving off, I contemplate a spot to pull over along the Arroyo Seco to enjoy my dining behind the wheel. I just can't hold in my wondering, patience is definitely NOT a virtue when curiosity is just killing this Jazz Cat. A quick stop at a red light later, I can't hold it in any longer. FLIP. UP. THAT. LID! Daaaaaaammmnnnn! That is one MONSTROUS slice, as I slyly smile in astonishment! But my sly smile slowly segues to sadness, then semi-panicked confusion, disorientation, even! For THIS is not the Margherita one familiarly recognizes as the artistic minimalistic masterpiece a proper Neapolitan Margherita MUST BE! I am starting to get anxious, angsty, and now a bit ANGRY! what a fool I was! Instead I am misled into chow down mode to consume a Godzilla-sized molten mess of mossy dry basil haphazardly strewn about to and fro across the pie, resembling katsuo bonito flakes dancing around in the disarray of their differential dehydration! Inexplicably, jagged rows of somewhat square Roma tomatoes are lined up in lazy formations like a disorganized military company. What's more, the gooey globs of mozzarella are NOT expertly anchored down to the bed of cheese below, supposed to cling to the pie while providing just enough protruding relief like an old globe map with a mountain range rising above the horizon. Nope, they are instead here and there and almost everywhere, seemingly untethered to the matrix of cheese below, chaotically floating around like slightly rectangular glops of pale possible goodness?!!? JT, hold it together, you must attack this mess while it's still hot. Beep Beep! THE LIGHT HAS TURNED GREEN MANY SECONDS AGO! Get thee to the Arroyo! Minutes later, I'm at my perch. I bite into the unruly beast. I am pleasantly greeted by a most satisfying CRUNCH! Then a chewy tug-tremendous! Then the mass of basil flakiness flying through my mouth and down the hatch, chased by those deeeelish misshapen untethered white cubes o' cheesiness charging down my throat aside tons of tumbling tomatoes! It's an absolute avalanche of WOW! It's like there's a party in my mouth, and the most unlikely heroes showed up and showed out! Let's add the Unconventional Neapolitanical Pizzas of Lincoln Heights to the Lovefest List! Heights DABS, you've made my day. On to meet up with long lost friends converging in HP from nearby points dearly loved, I'm feelin' GRRRREEEEAT! DONE.

There are a number of small boutique stores located here. This Japanese restaurant was a great find when I was out walking. I was actually going to pick up some food at another place. I read some of the reviews to get an idea of what to expect and was pleased to find that the food here is very good. This is a takeout only restaurant. They cater and also Chef Maezaki teaches sushi techniques in the surrounding area. I entered the front door and walked to the large counter. I was greeted with a smile and a friendly hello. I asked a number of questions and realized that I must be talking to Chef Maezakl. He showed me the menu. He also showed me specials that they were offering. After taking some time I decided to order the special wagyu beef entree, and a spicy tuna hand roll. I sat down in one of the chairs available and waited. I could smell great aromas from the food being prepared in the kitchen. I was happy when my food arrived about 15 minutes later. I could sense his pride in what he had prepared for me. I enjoyed the complete dinner that was the wagyu beef entree. There was rice, pickled cucumber, California roll sushi, a special piece of fried chicken, and chicken gyoza. It came in a perfectly packed & arranged container, ready to eat. I'm happy to say the taste translated to a great experience in dining. The marinated beef was tender and flavorful. The chicken was moist tender with a crisp exterior. The cucumber salad was bright and refreshing. The fresh sushi was a nice touch. I went back another time to try the cold chicken ramen, a three piece chicken appetizer, and the tiramisu. I was happy with the fresh flavor of the vegetables in the ramen. It was a nice change. All I can say about the tiramisu is that it has an addicting flavor! I can't wait to have it again. It's nice that the parking lot accommodates all the small boutique businesses. There has always been plenty of parking when I was there. This shopping area with its boutique stores is a good find. I look forward to my experience at CM Ghost Kitchen.
