My favorite place to get cookies ever! I don't care what place is going viral. Cookie House is a staple in my life lol. I remember going to cookie house as a little girl and it use to be a kiosk area in front of the carousel that Kings Plaza use to have. Even when I moved to a different state, anytime I visited I ALWAYS had to make a stop at the Cookie House. I never tasted cookies as good. And allllll the flavors are good. I don't know if it's nostalgia but their cookies are delicious. Very buttery and great selection from classics like chocoloate chip (my favorite) to more unique items like red velvet cookie, cheesecake brownie, and peanut butter jelly stuffed cookie (I love it, even though my sis is allergic to peanuts). I swore I'd left a review for this place years ago, but here we go again. The cookie house is a staple in King's Plaza mall and almost a rite of passage when you visit here. After withstanding temperatures that rival the deserts of Arizona and getting stuck in dead zones for phone service.... a cookie or 2 from here is a reward. They usually weigh everything out unless it's a specific item like brownies where they are per they are per item cost. Everything is always fresh, as they are constantly baking. Snag a few cookies next time you come by. read more

This is the reason why kings plaza itself is etched in my head as a positive memory. I associate Kings Plaza with the smell of the Cookie House. I don't care how many teenagers start fisticuffs in the middle of the mall, as long as the Cookie House is here I will keep coming back. Just go to the mall, follow the smell, order whatever you want, and you'll be happy. read more

This is a must visit whenever you come to kp. (Kings plaza). They have a great selection of cookies, that weigh by the pound. One is never enough, and the smell permeates through the air of the mall so it's impossible to not stop and take a look, and once you've done that. You're purchasing at least $10 worth of cookies lol. They are fresh baked on premises, and multiple times a day. It's some of the best cookies, but be careful because you can easily eat 2 pounds. One of the last remaining original stores from the 70's Kings Plaza. Coming here it always brings back memories from my childhood when I came here with my mom. It was a special treat for us since it was expensive. They still charge by the pound and put the cookies in the white bag. Great fresh homade tasting cookies on every visit. One bite it brings me back to being a little boy. read more

Great place to stop and satisfy your sugar urge while shopping at the Kings Plaza Mall. They have a huge assortment of cookies with nuts. They have also now added pretzels to the menu. They can be a little pricey, but it is worth it. My one and only favorite is chocolate chip with pecans. I do have a nut allergy, but pecans Thank Goodness is not one of them. If you are at the KP Mall check them out and let me know what you think. read more

I went here on Saturday 12/28 and used my card. I did not use my bank card anywhere else in the mall, as the rest of my transactions were even exchanges. This cookie and pretzel house do grubhub orders. We've been home on vacation I haven't used my card in the past few days post holiday- this was the only place. I do NOT and have never had a grubhub account. Today 12/30 I have over $400 in charges the first 5 started out as minor grubhub charges. Someone from here copied my bank card info and had a great time with my card. The next few charges were target in Brooklyn, Dizzle Finest in the Bronx. DO NOT USE YOUR CARD HERE!!!!! read more

I remember coming here as a kid and during my teen years, and it brought back so many memories. Once I started to smell the cookies, I knew I had to get some. I got 1/2 lb. of chocolate chip and they are just as tasty as I remembered. I didn't have any stale/hard cookies like some of the other reviews, maybe I just lucked out I guess. The staff is okay, nothing memorable but the encounter is quick (like 2 minutes long). I'm glad that with all the changes in the mall, this place is still a fixture. read more

Don't get the pretzel mini hotdogs. Barely palatable. Soggy, gooey, doughy bites of pretzel bread sloughing off small sausages. Sitting for a some time. Cheese dip is the cheap American spread type, if you're into it. Not many options here but don't waste $8 on these. Maybe get their cookies instead. Disgusting. read more

This place has been around forever. I wonder why they don't have other locations. They're not bad. They're good actually but I would not say they're the best I've ever hard. They very expensive and also very sweet. Too sweet as a matter of fact. I honestly would say that Pepperidge Farm cookies or better yet the Nestle's Toll House Cookies will do the same job or maybe even slightly better job than here. read more

THE COOKIE HOUSE LIVES No longer in its hut in the middle of the food court, the Cookie House is now a storefront. While the smell of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies isn't as all encompassing as it was years ago due to the placement of the ovens further away from the counter, that familar smell still lingers in the air nearby. The counter staff was just fine contrary to what other have said or just "heard" in their postings on Yelp, even though I had a small order. I would like to try their pretzels sometime, but I had just eaten at Nathan's and it was time for a serious dessert. The chocolate chip cookies were as good as when I was a kid. When they're fresh and oozing chocolate, they're among the best cookies I've had. And I am a fucking cookie monster. I wish I had gotten a half pound just of these instead of a half pound total. The chocolate chip peanut butter, double chocolate chip, and oatmeal raisin were also great examples of their respective genuses. There was definitely an element of nostaglia walking home with these in the bag; I couldn't stop looking through the bag's window. But I was shocked that this institution has held up so well in less-than-ideal conditions for all these years. To those who won't come here because it isn't "gourmet" or "authentic" enough for you, well do us all a favor and stay away! Eat your overpriced, overrated junk in Manhattan, and leave great places like this to real people like the ones who have posted here. Authenticity is the biggest bullshit buzzword that people like to throw without even knowing what it means (runner-up is taste). Authenticity is about more than fufilling an archtype which may or may not be accurate/applicable: it's about honesty. The name of the business is Cookie House. They make the best damn chocolate chip cookies in Brooklyn. That sounds pretty real to me. read more

Now I know one thing: make sure the pretzel is fresh before buying it! I wanted to given them 5 stars, after having so many fresh and delicious pretzels here during the pass year, but what I got here today is a pretzel that I know was made yesterday! It is impossible that this pretzel was made today. The Kings mall open at 11, I bought the pretzel at 12. It's either that, or they lost the magic. Check freshness before buying!! read more

It's hard to walk past the Cookie House in the mall and not want to have some cookies! My favorite is the old fashioned style but you can't go wrong with any type. Just be careful the pricing is by the 1/2 pound so it can get a bit expensive. They also have great smoothys and fresh pop'd popcorn. For breakfast they have an assortment of muffins, bagels and rolls. A must stop by when in the mall. read more

As someone who grew up on the goodness of the Cookie House as a kid, I know the difference between what was and what now is. The taste is pretty much the same but the cutbacks on the size of the cookies and the ingredients do not account for the increase in prices. I without a doubt do not expect prices to remain the same but the cookies are literally half the size of what they used to be at double the cost. The Macadamia White Chocolate cookies should just be called White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Surprise. Why? Because I'm shocked when I actually come across a macadamia nut in these cookies. It's an insult to what once was. read more

Made fresh on location...you can't beat that. When you walk into KP (King's Plaza) this is usually the first thing you smell. I can't give them a 5 stars because the staff is really not friendly but otherwise those are the best cookies ever I used to buy a lot of them but I will seat there and stuff my face so now I only get 5 it's the max No matter what time u get there they are baking so if you love them warm just wait a few minutes and you can get a fresh batch Try the chocolate chip / oatmeal and also the chocolate brownie I don't get too much for the drinks but milk is always good read more

Ever since Kings Plaza was built, Cookie House has there. As a ritual from day one, I NEVER left Kings Plaza without buying cookies from here. After many years of not shopping at Kings Plaza, my friend and I went shopping in KP and I said to him, I refuse to leave this mall without their cookies. Today has not only reinforced my impression of Cookie House's tasty fresh cookies but most of all the honest customer service. After purchasing my cookies I walked a few steps away at about 5:45 pm with my ATM card when a cashier hurried over and handed me my wallet that I left at the counter. I wish I knew what her name was, but I thank her. Her honesty and integrity is forever imprinted in my soul. She knows who she is and I hope her boss reads this and gives her a raise.! read more

You know the saying your eyes are bigger than your stomach? Well, that's what always happen to me when I buy cookies here. They have a nice variety of cookies you can choose from ie white chocolate chip macadamia nuts, chocolate chip, double chocolate chip, peanut butter, oatmeal raisin, etc. my favorite is the red velvet cookie, there are pieces of white chocolate inside just the way I like it. You can mix and match, it's $6.75 for 1/2 pound but I always go over. They give it to you in a bag that has a little plastic window to see your chosen cookies. I like the size of the cookies, it's not too big where you are limited to one but are bigger than your bite size cookies. Good thing I don't know the calorie count for them! read more

omgosh i love this place.. when i was younger, it was too expensive to get the whole pound so we'd usually only get a few cookies in that plain white bag :( Now that i am older, the cookies are more expensive, but i get myself the bag that represents where i got the cookies from =)* The chocolate chip are my favorite, but they have chocolate chip with peanut butter, oatmeal raisin, etc and they always taste so homemade. There's usually a line, but it's worth it! I prefer them to be a little chewier, but many times they are more crispy. BUT what is cool about them is that you can leave them for a few days and they soften so they are still delicious even if you have a lapse in memory! :) The bf hates going to KP, but i like to come here and Gretel's pretzels for my overly expensive snacks :) *proud :) read more

I have to agree with those reviewers below me when they state that these are probably the best chocolate chip cookies you'll ever have in your life. Not too sweet, not too soft, the only problem is how easy it is to eat so many that you feel like laying down and dying afterward. But hey, waddaya gonna do. As for the guy below who called these "fast food cookies" and suggested that people should go to a "real bakery" instead, that same guy also has glowing reviews for crap 'gourmet' gentrification bandwagon businesses like "Cafe Grumpy" in Park Slope (which sells a $12 cup of coffee) and the Shake Shack in the city (which is nowhere NEAR as good as its lemming fans claim). So that right there should tell you where his tastes lie. read more

The Cookie House used to literally be a tiny house-shaped booth in the middle of the floor in Kings Plaza. It got so popular that it needed to expand to a bigger space. That space is its current location, and they've also expanded their menu to include pretzels. I've been coming here since I was little, and while I've seen the prices jump over the years, I'd gladly take a bag of cookies from here over Mrs. Fields'. They're chewy, not mushy. They have a really good bite to them, and that smell! How can I describe it...ok, you know how sometimes, in cartoons, the smell takes the shape of a hand and caresses your face and does that come hither motion? I swear that happens here. Every time. Came here on a friends recommendation that is s pastry chef so I trusted her judgement! I had to pick up cookies - or something to bring to a party today and thought cookies are fun and delish!! So of course I didn't have anything to eat except for my usual shake for breakfast - yes I can be a health nut at times! So I start off with greens and fruit juicing with vegan protein... MMMMM I love this place so much! It's the first thing you smell on the lower floor of the mall when you walk in from the garage, it's such a welcoming place with sweet treats to satisfy you while you shop! My wife always gets the chocolate chip cookies and I go for either the Macadamia nut or peanut butter! We also enjoy their lemonade and sometimes a smoothie, although you have better options for that in the mall. So good with a decent price and an ok staff. read more

Sweet and savory. From noodles to ongiris to dessert to cookies this place is amazing. I can't imagine you couldn't find something in here to eat. I got a beef curry bun, beef yakiniku roll, Kinpira (burdock root), sesame tuile cookie and a tiramisu coffee roll. Everything looked fresh and everything did taste good. The sesame cookie was delicious. I would definitely go back again if I'm in the area or try the other location in Manhattan.

Ube soft serve with thin crispy almond cookie topping was fantastic. Also grabbed some cookies to consume the next day (Miso almond cookie and diamond butter cookie). The diamond butter cookie was the better of the two, but neither were super memorable so I'd try something else next time. Get that soft serve!!
