Everything felt accessible; communicating with Katie felt like chatting with an old friend, the recipes were as realistic as they were delicious -- meaning, we'll actually make them on a weeknight since they don't take hours to prep/use obscure ingredients -- and there was nothing stuffy or transactional about having a professional chef teach a class in our home. No doubt, Katie is as professional as they come. What's more, though, is she is a genuinely good human and a joy to be around. For the monthly special (Deep Fried Fish in a tomato sauce) they provide written instruction instructions. I signed up for the monthly subscription which include 3 meals which you can select yourself or let them choose. It's been a while so I picked my favorites- the sweet jerky meal, the pork noodles and the monthly special. As always it is fabulous. More to good news is that there are a number of lower carb options. You can get the jerky and spicy sausages without rice. Or the protein (chicken or fish ) steamed in banana leaves. Or the classic minced chicken salad. Or the spicy red curry. I was told that they specifically selected items that would travel and freeze well. They hit the mark. Over time I Have worked my way through almost the entire menu. I could personally vouch for other items that freeze and reheat well- sometimes better in the air fryer.
