The chicken was stale, old, and tasted putrid, giving you the vicarious experience of what it would be like if you were reincarnated as a vulture. I've purchased several cheeses here recently that tasted over-aged and strongly ammoniated. Properly aged European cheeses should have complex, nutty, earthy flavors -- not a harsh ammonia taste or smell. This has happened multiple times now. One of the biggest issues is that everything is prepackaged in plastic, so you cannot properly smell or assess the cheese before buying it. You only discover the problem once you get home and open the package. A good cheese counter should allow customers to smell or sample cheeses, especially imported and aged varieties.

I felt really bad for her -- like I wanted to whisk her away from this place and take her out for some ice cream or something. Like -- like maybe go see a movie or something, just relax. Everything else we ordered was mediocre at best, woefully bad on average.
