We used Cook's for years. Eric was our technician. If I could duplicate his work ethic, I would never change companies. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. I found that the managers had no ability to maintain that level of service and "Fired" us. The reason the manager stated was slow payment. As I said Eric is the type of employee that retains business with integrity. Cooks deserve low ratings. Hopefully they can change, but keeping a customer is hard. Cook's will plan last minute services to make sure customer is not home so they never have to treat the inside of the home. Even months after the end of a two year contract they come by to spray saying that there is still time in the contract but they will cancel after this one last time and another 100 plus dollar charge. It is nothing on the technician because they were always very helpful. The blame is solely on the company for their lack of business ethics. I would absolutely never recommend this company to anyone I wanted to keep as a friend. read more

THIS IS THE WORST PEST CONTROL IN KNOXVILLE! They won't call you to schedule services, and their customer service is absolutely terrible. I had a service done in June and called to pay my bill. I called every 1-2 weeks for 5 months before they finally charged my card. Keep in mind every time I called I told them my card number. They would always tell me that someone would call me back, that never happened. Continuing to call and try to pay my bill, we finally got it resolved after 5 months and canceled our services. First let me say that Billy the technician has been great. I would've continued service if I only had to deal with Billy as he has great customer service. Candice, whom I've only exchanged text with is rude and lacks customer service skills. Due to this I've asked to discontinue services once my contract expires. My neighbor who also uses cooks and loves Billy has mentioned issues with Candace as well. Theyre considered discontinuing services too. read more

Absolutely terrible company, we asked for rat traps and bug spray but instead we got a rat hitting on my wife with my two kids in the house, followed by weird texts to my wife such as, "If you ever get bored, or just need a spray or anything, call or text." He even told my wife his name was Chris, but his voicemail says Ron. Might be trying to cover up the fact he's also married with two kids. Before having this company come exterminate your pests, let them exterminate their own. read more

Multiple problems with this company due to high employee turnover, low quality products, and unethical practices. They try to get by with ONLY spraying the outside. I am forced every single visit to demand treatment of inside the home. Several visits back requested cockroach treatment and it's getting worse and worse. I'm definitely changing companies. The technician's communication before and during the appointment was perfect. They kept us advised of the arrival time, was extremely knowledgeable about the trade, and gave us a full description of the service before beginning and in a manner that was understandable. Answered all of our questions and gave us a summary of the observations after the service. The technician's demeanor was friendly yet professional and confident. My girlfriend used Cooks because her neighbor bombed and the cockroaches came to her house she called Cooks they sprayed the bugs were multiplying. I sprayed with ortho one time her house and could see a dramatic decrease we are not happy with Cooks at all read more

They are going to tell you one price.. then change it when you decided to use them.. then tell you they are going to do stuff then when the job is done they will not keep their word. Basically they are going to tell you anything you want to hear to get your money then they will back out on it! Call someone else! These people are con artists. Their techs are on commission and focal 2-3 days before the end of the month insisting they come in the next 48 hours (apparently, if they don't show up in the calendar month they don't get paid) That's just the pest side The termite side is an entirely different scam. The charge 4 monthly payments of 85$ and day they come out every 6 months. In almost 3 years, he's been here maybe three times. They harass you with urgency phone calls about getting out to do service or if you payment is a week late but if you have an issue? Let's put it this way. I called Larry, Becky, and Mike 2 weeks ago. Then yesterday. Then today. No return call. I'm cancelling my service. read more

Technician left my gate open and my dog ran away. This is the 3rd technician that I've have had since starting with cooks almost 2 years ago. I recieved a call in January saying that they wanted to schedule a termite inspection that is included in my contract and yet when I mentioned when they could come out the guy on the other end said no we'll call you back. A month later and I have yet to hear back on that and don't care now. They are no longer welcome on my property. My pets are like family and to be that careless, well I don't need your service. I'll contact another pest control service. read more

I only gave it a 1 star because you have to rate it. So here it is: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! First off, When I originally called to set up the appointment he was supposed to be there at 5...he finally showed up at 5:30! He offered me a good price so we set it up to come out automatically that following Friday. 5 DAYS LATER I get a phone call saying that they just now set up my contract and tried to run my payment and it did not go through. I explained to her why because like I told the salesman, if they didn't get the money out on the 30th, it would be gone...which it was. I have only had the services for 5 days and already dissatisfied. I asked to just cancel the services since it was too much of a hassle to get it started but she said my grace period was up. Haven't even paid anything yet so how am I already responsible? Then she tried to make excuses because she was a day behind on her work, but still that was last week! NOT HAPPY.
