So I booked my first appointment with Maggie and walked in to the appointment slightly nervous. I've had a bunch of Brazilian waxes over the last couple years but for some reason still was feeling nervous! The first impression of the place was a smallish hole in the wall place but it opened up to a much larger set of rooms with many waxers. The front desk girl greeted me and I was seen quickly by Maggie. Maggie is an absolute gem! Very very nice and welcoming lady who truly seems to enjoy her work. She chatted with me and got to know more about my life which made me feel a lot better about getting waxed again. It had been awhile. I let her know and she was patient with me through the whole process. Now be forewarned! Maggie's technique was different than the other esthetician I went to before. Every visit somehow impresses me more than the last, the attention to detail and care they put into their work really shows. The shop is a little out of my way, but it's always worth the trip. But Bayleigh made the time fly by being so personable. So I really appreciated that! The service itself does not come with a wax but you can add it on, which I did, and if it's your first time waxing there you will receive 20% off. So that was nice as well. Through out the whole appointment I was made comfortable, but was also allowed to make suggestions with brow shape and tint color. I asked if I was bleeding, and she told me no, which was not true. What upset me the most was that she never took accountability for burning me. I will never get service here again. The only reason I didn't take legal action is because something in my heart told me to just let it go. For me, the 4 step skin process, the wax, and the bedside manner was definitely better than my experience at a competitor like Waxing the City and of course better than any other value or multipurpose salon. They also have really good hygiene procedures- masks, wax paper on the tables, using cotton pads to apply treatment for your skin, etc. Please come here instead of suffering at another place.

The main reason why I'm leaving this review is because I've never been to a location where I felt like the waxer was genuinely trying to hurt you. I got a Brazilian done with Jessie, the way she spread the wax felt like she was pulling the hairs slowly and painfully off my body. She applied so many strips one after the other on the same spots that it had a later effect of me having ingrown hairs all over and irritated skin. Not to mention I would think since she did so many takes over each spot that ALL of the hairs would be gone. To my disbelief hair is still there. Not to mention I am seeing growth just two weeks after my appointment. In my opinion it was a waste of my money since my previous waxer usually would do such a good job I wouldn't have to see her for 6 weeks at a time. Very disappointed and I will not be coming back. Only reason why I'm giving two stars is because the front desk was super sweet.
