Dumb me I didn't notice until we got home and I had already opened some. I chalked it up to my fault. It's hard to find in person stores to try on shoes. I am in the 40+ crowd and I value good alignment and the right fit for my family. I appreciate they carry a wide variety of widths as my family all wear wides. This brings me to our last experience. My partner doesn't always love trying on shoes but I find it's the best way to get proper fitting shoes for him. We tried on a few as the new version of his current pair no longer fit so well. 2 team members went to the back at the same time. I could hear one of them very clearly say jeez thanks for taking them they're a handful laughing. I mean if you're going to talk about clients at least do it quietly. Just because I can't see you doesn't mean I can't hear you. The person getting the different shoes wasn't even asking any follow up questions about how does this feel or any follow up to help facilitate finding the right fit. I bought the damn shoes because my husband needed them and I shouldn't have. Nordstrom is far and I hate the parking but at least they value their customers. Pacers doesn't carry as many wides in stock at the location closest to us. I've never felt this way before. We won't be back.

The manager was very friendly and accommodating. I appreciated everyone helping me with this exchange. They didn't have the same item I wanted but found a similar one. They made the transaction so easy and quick. The store is always kept up and looks very clean. They made some changes and improvements from the last time I was here. They are located across the street from Springfield Mall. They have plenty of free surface parking around the establishment.

I also love that there are a decent amount of guys working at this location and not just all females. My biggest grip relates to the smaller feet girlies who are a size 6.5 or smaller, and I am the smaller. They tend to only stock one pair of smaller sizes, so if you don't get that golden coveted pair, forget it! They do have the option of ordering a pair online for you, or you can go online yourself, IF the have available what you are looking for but you don't know if you are going to like them or how they fit and if you are looking to walk away with shoes in hand then you are SOL. Also, it is disappointing that DSW has changed their clearance section pricing to only 30% off instead of the former 20-60% range. I found several pairs of so called clearance prices "marked down" but they literally had the exact same shoes on the main floor with the normal price the same as the "clearance" price. Scam!

I've purchased name brand sweatwr and jackets from here over the uears as well. Their products are actually more affordable here then of you went to a bike specialty store, or a store that only sells baseball caps. There have always been more than two cashiers at the front, so the line to check out and pay moves aling quickly. The convenience factor is also important to me. They are located insode of the Springfield Town Center, and only a block away from the metro.

Also, they are great sales and prices on their clearance items, which is fully stock with shoes that are more in style and in season; not as dated as some stores. I would agree with some of the comments here that at times when I come to the store, the customer service is a hit or miss. There are times when you are greeted as soon as you come through the door and/or someone ask if they may be of assistance. Other times, it can be crickets and the staff here seem to walk around as if they don't want to be bothered. lol. This does not bother me personally, but I can see how others may be offended, especially when you're spending your hard earned coins in this store. A little customer service, goes a long way.Other than this, I have no complaints. Between the huge selection that seems to be ever-changing and well stocked items for males needing larger sizes, this store is the place to shop for me. For males, there is a huge selection of male athletic, hiking/walking shoes, and dress to casual shoes as well. Organized aisles upon aisles of fashionable shoes felt like I entered Candy Land. I was pleased with the varied styles and selection of designer brands. There is also a substantial selection of dress and casual shoes for men. This section was not an afterthought! The store was obviously clean since it opened 2 days ago. In addition, DSW staff and other customers were diverse, super nice, and complimentary. I bought a cute pair of nude colored sandals and used my $15 coupon.
