I recently needed to have a faucet replaced. That work seemed a bit expensive but I did not get any other estimates so that's just my perception. While the plumber was here, I had him take a look at a different bathroom because I needed to have the faucet and a vanity replaced. I received the written estimate but because it seemed exorbitantly high, I emailed back with some specific questions. I never received a response. So I emailed again, and still did not receive a response. About a week later I called the office and asked if anyone was going to respond to my questions. The person who answered the phone said yes that the person who prepared the quote would call me back. That never happened. I moved forward with the work using a different plumber. The estimate from Thousand Oaks Plumbing was $4,700. The plumber that just completed the work replaced the existing vanity sink, faucet, and all associated plumbing for $1,400. I guess I know why no one from Thousand Oaks Plumbing wanted to answer my questions. Honestly, I was very surprised to be blown off like that. I don't know if there's been a change in ownership but I guess I won't be using them as much as I have in the past, and if I use them again, I will certainly be much more cautious about getting more than one estimate.
