Told me to call the propane company. They have all parts in stock. $600 repair but because they knew better. Done in a day $197. Its the honesty and quality. Great company. Stay away from this company. We've had an awful experience where I had to take my kids and myself to an Optomalogist due to unbearable eye pain. All due to extensive percentage of chlorine they poured in my salt water pool. Our eyes were stinging so badly that I couldn't be outside at all even though we kept washing our eyes with clean water. My 6 year old was in so much pain that we had to take him to the doctor for an eye treatment. They are awful and not knowledgeable at all with salt water pools. If you want your kids to be safe (skin/eyes) then i would do my research before using this company. A lot of talk but little knowledge and terrible customer service. We hired David and Philip to do summer pool maintenance at the beginning of 2021 after buying a house in EH. Initial experience was good and similar to what other reviewers have said. Both seemed knowledgeable and responsive. I even recommended them to my neighbors who also hired them. The issues started in early June, just when we started using the pool. They clearly have no idea on how to deal with pools with solar covers or with salt equipment. All summer we either had too much chlorine or too little. My kids would constantly complain about pain in their eyes. Our concerns were either dismissed entirely, we were told to keep the cover open more often (which defeats the whole purpose of a cover that preserves warm temperature during the night) and we were accused of doing something wrong. They focus on spending as little time on maintenance as possible with our weekly tech sometimes spending 5 minutes at our pool and we were told not to speak with the tech as it would slow him down. David sounds like he knows his stuff but I doubt it. At the end of the summer, after having so many issues with the chlorine levels, he recommended that I invest in salt equipment to maintain consistent chlorine levels. I said what about the salt generation equipment that we already have. After a long pause he came up with an excuse that it was not working! The entire experience was bad and unprofessional so beware and make sure you compare them to others. read more

We recently changed our pool company from Immaculate Pools to Cool Water Pools. While I will not comment on Immaculate Pools, I will say that the contrast has been extraordinary. Not only have we had less issues with our pool, but when we have had problems they are on it and get it fixed right. David and Phillip and his team are highly professional, high responsive, and have taken great care of our pool and pool equipment and of us as customers. Not sure why this company gets some positive reviews. Maybe they are ok to handle a chlorinated pool, but they don't understand salt water pools. I had a similar experience to others where my pool in EH was completely over chlorinated. They are not comfortable with being questioned or challenged. In fact, they ended my pool service (telling me they were no longer going to East Hampton) even when I was trying to work out the problems. If you have a salt pool look elsewhere. They say in their comment that it is all about balancing the pool, but this over chlorination problem was consistent throughout the summer. They didn't understand how to operate the Hayward salt generator and just dumped chorine tabs in every week. If you have a salt pool, consider other companies. read more

Excellent service - very responsive and clear in their communication. Always willing to hop on the phone to discuss and are upfront on pricing. They did an amazing job helping us manage updates to our pool - install of a new liner, install of pool heater, transfer to saltwater. We used Cool Pool Works for our house in South Hamptons for one summer several summers ago. I was not going to post a negative review but a recent negative review posted here brought back similar memories from the experience we had. To summarize, we didn't have a good experience with the company. They are responsive but don't do much. We spoke with David multiple times, but the problem persisted. They show up for cleaning and leave quickly. Pool was not cleaned well consistently. They seem like a new company and are just learning their business. We decided to move on after one summer as we were not satisfied. read more

I want other reviewers to know that my original review was fair and honest and that you guys did a poor job with the maintenance service of our pool. You claim that you gave us an option to discountinue the service in the middle of the summer. This is like trying to replace a broken heater in the middle of the winter. Most service providers would not have been available to take over so we were stuck with you. The team at Cool Water Pool Works is truly unrivaled across the Hamptons. They are incredibly responsive and transparent. Early this morning ( Friday leading into an August weekend) I noticed our pool heater would not stay on for more that a minute or two. I was very concerned that we might go the weekend without a useable pool. I texted them at around 7 am and had a response within 10 minutes. A few hours later they had addressed the issue and we used the pool that afternoon. Every time I have reached out to them I have received a very quick response. I find it incredibly frustrating having to wait 2-3 days for a response, which has never been the case with this team. The season is too short to lose a weekend of pool time and I have complete trust in this team. We have been out here for close to 20 years and that level of service is unique.
