Recently, a friend invited me to go see a band that she enjoys at this winery. They were playing from 6 to 9 so we arrived close to six. Parking was a little bit challenging, but not too bad. Once inside, we found a tall table near the open doors to the outside so we could hear the band. The inside decor is cute and cozy. The menus were located on the table so we looked at the various options while we listened to the music. I decided on a red wine flight. You don't get to choose you just get one of each of the wines on the list. We went up to the counter to order and were attended to almost immediately. My flight of six 1 ounce pours was served, and I took it to the table. My other friends ordered a glass of wine each. The first of the two was attended to immediately as well, but the third was made to wait for a little bit longer for some reason, even though she was with us and next in line. The band was enjoyable and the sound was good. People were enjoying themselves and some dancing. I liked two of the wines I tried the rest were just ok. They don't serve food, but they did have a food truck in the back that looked good. We had already eaten, unfortunately, so we didn't try anything. It was nice evening and perfect for sitting outside. I would definitely come back again in the future. read more

I visited on a Saturday evening mainly to see the band. I was pleasantly surprised to find an available table. They have bar height tables, standard tables and bar style seating. Each table had a number so I wondered if they were reserved. The staff told me the numbers are on the table in case we want to order in some food. Coomber's doesn't serve food, but they allow it to be brought in or delivered. I thought that was a cool feature. They even offer a QR code menu on the table for Mikko sushi, which is right next door. Perfect! Sadly, I have a wine allergy. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were also serving margaritas that night! They offer free water, serve yourself. And they told me they have soda. I enjoyed the cozy patio seating which offered shade or sunshine. The band played in the corner and there was room to dance in front of the small stage. The volume was not overwhelming, and we were able to carry on a conversation. Great place. I will be back. read more

Oh my gosh! They have a great patio area that you can enjoy live music while sipping wine and talking to friends. Music appears to be nightly though I believe that there is a cover charge on some nights (call them, I could be wrong and there was no charge when I went). I tip for good music anyway. Staff was friendly and clearly there are some regulars. Many people got up to dance. Several well behaved dogs were on the patio. I will add this place to visit more often. read more

OMG i was so happy to have started a membership here - Until today! Nicole is a horrible host she was rude and disrespectful, if shes bartending I don't recommend coming here and I'm canceling my membership effective immediately. I cannot believe how unprofessional she was and how combative she was. Ive never had an issue using all my tastings in one sitting and today, all of a sudden i can only have one tasting per visit? Fun night out on a Sunday and this place was busy- maybe it was the live band, open patio or the wine- or all! But we came with a group- and we all enjoyed the wine and music. Not only was the wine delicious but the lovely lady named RUTH made sure we liked the wine before we bought it. She was incredibly busy on the evening of St. Patrick's Day but never missed a beat. Our large group of 14 ended up buying about 10 bottles of the rose, Chardonnay and some kind of delicious red wine. She gets the highest commendation of anyone in her industry! We also enjoyed all of this with incredible live music from the band, Coffee on the Moon. They even sang a couple of beautiful Irish songs. Oh and did I mention? We are all Irish! read more

Okay, in full disclosure, was already a fan of the Oceanside location. But as a relatively new transplant to Vista, it was a joy to see them follow us! We've been in 3 times in 2 weeks, so the 5 stars is probably a foregone conclusion. Coomber has some good wines, but to be honest, you come here because it's all on balance. The atmosphere is just elevated enough and just approachable enough. They have music every night. Did you hear me? Live music in Vista. Their staff is of a style that they have curated very carefully and on the whole have knocked it out of the park. They get to know your name. They smile when you arrive. It's not sugary, it's just the right level. Also, they have an easy way to get food from Shak's and Seven Seas has seafood salads for carryout, both next door. What else do you need? We popped by after eating out with some friends. We tried a flight. The wine was very vinegary. Not a fan. The live musician was quite awful; I don't know what he was wailing about. The bartender was very apologetic about the music and asked us to not judge them based on that. Hopeful they didn't ask him back; I saw him on the schedule later that same month. I give a star for the bartender but we just didn't like the wine, so we don't plan to return. There are better options to get a nice glass of wine. read more

Wonderful experience at Coomber Wines Vista Tasting Room. We walked in an hour before closing. There was live music and a warm atmosphere. Nicole poured for us and she was vibrant, responsive, and very helpful. She's also a level 2 sommelier. It's a rare experience even in the industry to have that level of service at a tasting room. What an amazing experience! Such a great atmosphere, staff were so accommodating and friendly. The location was phenomenal! It's so fun because there's live music which is always such a plus. The wines are all amazing we did a flight of whites and reds and it did not disappoint, if wines are not for you there are frozen margaritas and frozen espresso martinis that are so refreshing, so it is very accommodating! We love Coomber!! We are new parents and love to stop in for a glass on our weekend walks since it's super family friendly and they have great nightly entertainment. The staff is soo nice, the people working there alone sold us on getting a membership!! On top of it all, the wine is incredible. I love their family Pinot Noir for a red and Surfer Girl for a white. So my friends and I used to go to this winery in Carlsbad. I won't say names but our favorite bartender left and the place has literally gone to crap. We have always enjoyed the Coomber in O'side and have been waiting a very long time for their new location in downtown Vista to open. Well we finally got word they opened so my friends and I decided to go check it out. Well, let me tell you from the moment we walked in and seeing our favorite bartender from the no name Carlsbad winery, Jason, (who is my boyfriend but just doesn't know it yet, so back off ladies. lol) until the moment we left hours later, this place is the bomb! We are making this our new weekend spot. The wine is better than a lot of other places we have tried around here, you can bring in any food of your choosing because they do not serve food, they are dog friendly, and have amazing live music every single night from 6-9pm. My friends and I shared all 3 of the flights offered, 1 white, 1 mix, and 1 red. We then all tried the lemon cello spritzer which was delicious! The ambiance was amazing and they were packed. Of course. The staff is awesome. Jason is just my guy. We absolutely love him. But the entire staff works hard and you can really see they enjoy what they do.
