The person that told me about the cafe said it used to be Amy and Cathy's. I tried it because I need a quick lunch before a 1:00 meeting. The location is down town Seguin near the courthouse but if you didn't know it was there it may be hard to find. It is A small quaint sandwich shop. Very friendly staff and a simple menu. I offer the Chicken Bacon and Cheese Sandwich with honey mustard instead of the craft mayo that it came with. I was a little disappointed because I assumed it was going to be a chicken breast with slices of bacon. ( I should have read the description). However it was a combination of diced chicken, onions, and diced bacon, smothered in melted cheese. It was actually a great sandwich!! The flavor was good and it was quite satisfying. I plan to go back and try other sandwiches after my morning meetings in Seguin. Great little find.

I ordered some honey pecan wings and waffle fries which were solid. The wings had perfectly crisp skin, but the sauce sounded better than the flavor gave. The lady friend had a salad that she said was good. They also offered pours of hard-to-get bourbons but at 65.00 for a pour of George T Stagg, I passed. The place itself was very nice. I was pleasantly surprised to see a black history month display of book, how inclusive. They also had a kids corner area. And there was what looked like a book club group chit chatting in the back. We had a party of 20 plus and they accommodated us with ease. We were sat at two long tables, and we had two waitresses to take care of us, and they did. Super job from the whole staff. Very friendly and polite. I had the chicken fried steak, the portion was large, took up the whole plate. The meat was all the way to the edge, with the breading. Just the way it should be. I had Mac and cheese, and cream corn. Very good tasting. Maria had the chicken strips with gravy and fries. I'm not much a fan of steak fries, but these were done perfectly. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Andrew had the chicken Alfredo, what a meal, especially for an 11year old, but he took care of that plate all by himself.
