Finally tried this place. Hubs went with the original Philly and I had the mushroom steak. Both were served with aioli which made the food even better. She asked if we wanted drinks. Hubs ordered water and I got a Diet Coke. Both of us were unaware that drinks were bottled/canned. It's a small place so that makes sense. It has 4 little tables. Cozy and a little warm inside. We were in the mood for something new and came across this cheesesteak business. It had great reviews so we decided to try it out. The location is somewhat easy to find and the parking is decent. Once inside the small business the board in the back has all the menu options and description of each item. I ended up ordering the Meat Lovers Cheesesteak w/ Spice it Up and my girlfriend ordered the Classic Italian. The price was decent and they offered Military Discount. The variety of cheesesteaks is incredible and also other types as well. The one I ate, which was the meat lovers was delicious. Very flavorful and cooked to order. The person that took our order was quite lovely, made sure we were good and checked if the food was to our liking. The restaurant itself is on the small side so a large group might be difficult but from what I saw you can order in advance and pick up the food. Stopped in here by pure happenstance. From the outside it had some character that intrigued me. I was quickly greeted and surprised by such a large sandwich menu. I had the originally Philly. The service was amazing! The lady who was behind the counter was very nice and friendly. My partner and I decided to eat there which was cozy. I ordered the rosemary turkey panini which was small and just okay. I wished I had gotten the cheesesteak sandwich instead. We've been waiting a long while to try this place and we were so disappointed. Got a Philly and the chicken saltimboca and neither of them tasted like anything really. No seasoning whatsoever, not sure how that's possible when everything was on there. Also fries tastes like stale frozen fries and they were so expensive for the tiny amount you get. The only thing that was good was the aioli which I'm glad we ordered to add some flavor to everything else. I love this place! Honestly, I don't think there is another phillysteak shop on New Braunfels! My husband and I go here all the time. We typically order over the phone and come by to pick up. Pair your sandwich with curly fries and you are set. The lady who typically takes our orders is super friendly and always gives us a side of white sauce for the sandwiches. They are also quick too. If you call in your order it only takes about 10 mins to make your sandwich and it is always warm when you pick it up. The shop also sells Italian ice. Happened to stop in here on a whim. The owner was so kind and nice the entire time I was there. I was the only one in the place as I got there right after they opened. The cheese wasn't melted and the chicken wasn't heated up before they put my sandwich in the press. Surprised to arrive at Noon on a Wed with only one other table. The interior is small, only five tables. I think they probably have alot of to go orders. The aroma inside of delicious peppers and baked bread already let me know that the food would be good and omg it was! I had the philly cheesesteak and loved it. I was in town for work and Marco Polo Philly Cheesesteaks was close by so I gave it a shot. I love a good Cheesesteak... This place is small. Maybe seating for 7 to 10 patrons. The food was just ok. I had a Cheesesteak ( see pic I attached) and curly fries. the bread or bun was fresh and to me was th beat part of the Cheesesteak. It was light on meat and heavy on onions and peppers. The seasoning was bland and the cheese whiz was too thin. Lastly was the cost. For the Cheesesteak, small curly fries and a soda it was 15 bucks. Maybe just an off day. Made a special trip because of reviews and name. The lady working there was polite and promptly took our order. I ordered a cheesesteak specifically asking to use "American" cheese and grilled jalapeño peppers. Well, the sandwich came out with what appeared to be mozzarella or provolone cheese, and so many peppers, you could barely see the meat. As far as "philly's" go, this is nowhere near even an average cheesesteak. At best it was a hoagie of some sort that didn't taste very good. Again, the lady working there was very nice and courteous but the "philly cheese steak" was mislabeled (it doesn't resemble a philly to me) and order came out wrong..If you are looking to try out new places for a cheesesteak, unless something has changed, don't go here IMO. read more

Fresh and made to order! The Philly cheesesteak is amazing on a homemade loaf. A few times they have given me a side of ranch to go with it which is yummy. I finally was able to pull away from the Philly and try the Italian sub. It was very good, but I have had better when in Jersey. I need to try the other sandwiches they offer. This place use to be great but the Philly I just got didn't have near the meat it has had in the past. And be warned if you ask for hot peppers that all your going to taste. We added them to to all 3 sandwich's and it was way to much. Picture below. They usually cut the sandwhich but only cut one this time. Maybe they were really busy. The sandwiches here are crazy good!! There are tons of options. So why the 4 stars and not 5? The french fries were still partly frozen when they brought them out to us. I was pretty bummed about this, because I was super excited about the fries vs chips option. For 2 sandwiches, with fries, a beer and bottled water, it was about $35. A little pricey, but the sandwiches and aioli sauce they serve up with them, is totally worth it. We'll certainly go back, but I'm hoping for a warmer batch of french fries next time though. read more

Excellent paninis, perfectly toasted, great meats. You must ask for the house aioli to put on all your sandwiches. They highly suggest it. There are only two pieces of equipment in this whole place, a small 24 inch flat top with a very small Hood and a small double Panini Press. That's why there are no fries in this place, simple and efficient restaurant. My wedding cake Italian Ice was smooth and creamy. Since this is half-price Tuesdays that's why I got the panini; but while there, somebody got a cheesesteak, and it looked absolutely juicy overstuffed and steaming right off the grill. read more
