Cooper Farms is the best place to stop by after a long drive! It is a fun spot that isn't busy like other gas's stations. The store feels like walking into a family reunion with all the homemade goods that grandma brings and wine with relatives. Overall, the store felt warm. Cooper Farms had samples of their fruit wine, jams, and salsa out for those who were intrigued by the interesting flavors, like the peach salsa. My friend tried out the white peach wine and said the wine went down smoothly and had a delicious taste that could be dangerous if you are not counting how many glasses you are having. We ended up buying 3 bottles of wine ($22 but buy 2 or more get them for $20 each), a peach ice cream, and a peach milkshake for the road. Cooper Farms had stands of baked goods like pumpkin pie, pecan pie, peach cobbler, and so much more. The store opens up to multiple tables of snacks when you walk in and a jam/ salsa wall on your right. Food Review: Peach Ice Cream (5/5) I would recommend this to anyone who walks through the doors. I was expecting a sorbet peach but was surprised to taste cinnamon and a nutty flavor in my ice cream. The small portion was enough to keep me full for the rest of our roadtrip back to Houston. Peach Milkshake (5/5) The peach milkshake are for the drivers who can't active scoop and eat ice cream. The milkshake was just a blended version of the ice cream. It was a perfect to-go drink if you wanted to try their ice cream but need to focus on the road. Overall, I would love to come back here with family and have them try the ice cream. What a cool little gas station!! I kept seeing ads on the way back home to houston from Dallas and by the third sign we decided we needed to make a stop and try their peach ice cream. Absolutely delicious ice cream for $4? I couldn't be happier. Also decided to grab some other goodies. They had so many soda options. I bought the peach mango salsa because they had some free samples and goodness was it tasty that I had to bring some home for myself! For $7.99 I think that's pretty reasonable. When picking out the fried pie, staff was really nice and helped me picked a pie and she recommended that I microwave the pie to make it a little warm, but it is ready to eat as is. She says she leaves it in her fridge and eats a piece day by day for up to a week! I like eating something a little sweet everyday so I'm going to take her up on that advice for sure cause I know I can't eat that whole pie in one sitting. I've had Cooper Farms Country Store on my radar for quite a while now and finally made it out there for a visit as a pit stop on the way to Dallas. The first time I've ever tried anything from this spot was a peach pie that was brought to work by my colleague. Ever since, I've wanted to visit the store. The peach pie that left my colleagues and I delighted brought me to visit and see what else I'd enjoy. There are a handful of parking spaces on the premises and a gas station. The store is not that big but their restrooms are quite nice for a rest stop! Tell me how often you see a restroom stall with four rolls of toilet paper? Cooper Farms it is. The restrooms were well lit, well maintained, and clean (so much better than many other places). There are little gifts, toys, snacks, homemade jams and jellies, pies, peach soft serve, taffy, fruit wines, and more. The staff are friendly and patient when asked about their products, plus you can get a small sample of their peach soft serve if you've never tried it before. I was hoping for a more bold and more creamy/smooth ice cream but it was just A-OK. The peach jam, peach taffy, and peach pies are where its at. The pecan pie is also a winner in my book. Lots of crispy snacks like okra and veggie chips in store too! Millions of peaches, peaches for me! All my life, I have made the drive up and down I45 multiple times a year and one of the things that is constant is Cooper Farms signs advertising peach this and that. Every single time I tell myself I need to stop here at some point. I love all things peaches. It's one of my favorite fruits. Peak season starts in the spring and ends after the summer. On my latest drive back from Denton, my gal pal and I decided to make the stop. We had another car of friends behind us and convinced them to stop with us as well. Cooper Farms is a large peach farm sitting on 300 acres in Fairfield, TX which is halfway between Centerville and Corsicana. In my head I always thought it was off the beaten path in a stand on the side of the road. In all actuality, it is right off the highway and it is what I would picture as an old general store. They have a couple of gas pumps out front and very limited parking considering the amount of people stopping in. Be courteous and pump that gas and move it out of the way before going into the store. Inside, it is not like your typical gas station. What you see is a variety of items like jelly, jam, nuts, seasonings and rubs, baked goods, fudge, jerky, jarred items and Cooper Farms swag. I can't forget to mention all the peach items as well. They also have your usual cold drinks in the fridge, but also have one whole fridge containing specialty sodas. I came for the famous peach ice cream that is proudly advertised up and down the highway. I went with a regular cup which is actually a pretty large serving. They also have the options of a larger size, waffle cones, pie and ice cream, or floats. We could have easily shared one serving had we known how much they serve. In the corner of my eye, I saw they had a peach cobbler latte which is something I have never seen at any coffee shop and had to try it. We got our goods and sat on a bench out front and watched the cars zip on by on the highway. The ice cream was really good. It was the perfect balance of sweet and tart with tiny bites of peaches inside. The latte was really different. It was good but probably not something I would order again. We got a couple of pies as well as the holiday was right around the corner. It was a big hit with our crowd and I would have to agree. All these years, and I kept passing this spot up. Recently added Cooper Farms to my rest stop in between my Houston to Dallas commute. It is small, so when visiting during busy hours harder to find parking. However, staff is pretty on point with making sure lines are organized and check out quick to facilitate flow. Restrooms are clean, everything is organized. They provide samples of their top sellers, I love their bean dip, peach salsa, salted caramel pecan pie, and peach milkshake. Saw the plethora of signage for "Peach Ice Cream" pointing to Cooper Farms and wanted to stop and see what the buzz was about. To be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect - however it certainly wasn't a gas station/country store on the side of the freeway. LOL! The store was cute! The peach theme was in abundance; there were samples to try of honey, salsa, and preserves, and the store was packed! The good: we loved the assortment of both consumables and non-consumables. There were so many choices and the store was clean! The not-so-good: the staff weren't exactly kind. They seemed to be ushering everyone along and the young ladies at the counter laughed when I asked if there were military discounts. Unsure why the need to laugh - a simple no would've sufficed. Lastly, I walked away with a bag of peaches that were supposedly picked prior to ripening & they didn't even make it a day. When we got home, they were covered in mush and had already started molding. The sign says not to disturb them, however, shame on me for not checking to see if they were ALL indeed the same quality as the top. Unfortunately - a waste of money. :( read more

If you're a peach lover like me this is the place for you! If you're passing through or live nearby I definitely think it's worth checking out. Ice cream: they have different flavors of soft serve but of course I tried peach! It's not super or sickly sweet which I loved. It doesn't taste artificial and actually tastes like they also used the skin, which makes it taste more homemade and rustic. I could be wrong about this but either way I really enjoyed it. Peach butter: I cannot rave enough about this and I wish I would have gotten more than one bottle. It's smoother than jam and so good on toast, waffles, and pancakes. If I'm ever in the area I'm buying multiple bottles. Peach Jam: So good but due to texture I prefer the butter. No regrets though. During this trip I also purchased two kinds of peach wines but I have yet to try them. I'm sure they'll be light and delicious. I wish I would have tried the baked goods but to be honest I wasn't sure how fresh they were so I didn't try these items since it was my first time visiting this store. This is right off I-45. We stopped as I had seen a TikTok about their peach ice cream! It was very good. So I bought some fresh peaches and a loaf of banana bread, and some peanut brittle. The place is super nice on the inside. It has the cleanest bathrooms for a "gas station". The service was also very good especially since it was super crowded when we stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. They have all kinds of items in the store - not just peaches! Cooper Farms is a local country store in a small town on the way to Houston from Dallas. We try to make a stop here on our way to the in laws. HONEY HOLE!! My wife and I took a drive from Montgomery to come check this place out, it was a 2 hour drive and worth every minute, even with w two year old lol. The service amazing! We spent 200+ dollars and got a ton of stuff! Its a bustling yet quaint store with lot of delicious peach inspired items! I brought a bag of peaches a year ago. They were the best peaches I had. I have been raving about them to my friends. So a year later, I brought one peck of peaches from Cooper Farm on July 27, intending to give some to my friends. The peaches were a disappointment. They were mushy. There were a couple that were actually moldy. No telling how long they have been sitting in the box. There are probably not as many people buying that quantity. If you buy peaches, get the smaller quantity in the bag. Those are probably fresher. I emailed them about it. They said tried them although bruised, they are still very sweet. Unfortunately that was not the case. They were mushy and not very very sweet. Can't even remove the skin (too canned them) without the peaches falling apart. read more

Usually I have a wonderful time here but today my visit was not pleasant at all. The lady I spoke with was not very helpful or kind when I asked her what the difference was between a malt and a shake- making me feel silly for asking. Then as I waited for my peach shake the staff members totally forgot about my order and were chatting and having a good time making their own drinks. I had to go remind them to have my drink ordered. You never know what someone is going through that moment and day and for me to get this experience really was a downer for the rest of my trip- as I was super excited to stop by. The peach ice cream is to die for! Not too sweet with a solid peach flavor with cinnamon. The cinnamon is a bit strong at times but still a very yum treat for the summer! Conveniently located on the way from Houston to Dallas and vice versa so a great stop to stretch your legs and try locally grown peaches. I travel between Dallas and Houston area every two weeks and pass the many billboards for this place. So when I was nearby and needed gas, I decided to check it out. They have food, a cafe and pecans, other road snacks. It's kinda like Cracker Barrel meets Buc-ees meets Starbucks; with an attached gas station. The line is long but they get you in and out quickly. They have alternative types of milk (which I love because I do not drink milk at all) and so many options for hot and cold beverages. The store is known for peaches, and has the most flavorful and fresh peach ice cream. They make cobbler as well, and while I have not had it, almost everyone in the line was getting something cobbler related. It's a treat for my waist but I just may have to imbibe. I hate putting a review because I don't want it to go down in quality due to increased need for more being made but I am happy to try it next time I go down there. read more

I often stop by Cooper Farms on road trips visiting family in East Texas. What I'd loved about them was the unsurpassed freshness of the pecans. So much so that I'd buy bags of pecans as gifts for friends. Recently, I was in Texas but couldn't make it down I-45, so I bought several bags online--and was sorely disappointed. The pecans were old (leftovers from last year's yield?) and rank. One gift recipient, a southern elder without any filters now, told me she didn't want anymore pecans from them! Growing up in East Texas, I realize now how much was taken for granted, in this case FREESTONE peaches. Way back when, driving along HWY 84 in peach season meant multiple roadside stands selling bushels of excellent quality peaches. OMG what an amazing cute road trip stop! I've seen so many billboards for this place on the way from Dallas to Houston and vice versa and knew we had to stop here. The country store part had a wide variety of goods to buy from pies, breads, nuts, salsa, popcorn, jerky, wine, unique sodas, etc. And such a cute selection of shirts, so naturally we had to get one! We tried the peach milkshake as well as the peach cobbler with peach ice cream. The milkshake was DELICIOUS - 10/10 would definitely get again! It was well balanced, not overly sweet with a strong peach flavor. The peach cobbler was tasty but unremarkable. However, the ice cream was tasty - light, refreshing, and not too sweet as well.
