Everyone is called " provider " so the patients don't know non physicians are the only ones there for problems.Nurses-Medication mistakes, couldn't pronounce med names or know why some meds given. If you go there on a weekend, most depts are closed. No supervision of anyone,pts told to shut up.Techs can cancel surgery by mistake- no one checks anything.Dangerous. Diagnosis's missed by multiple depts, big surgical errors.-by surgeon, by anesthesia - stopped dx bec wrong med given For complaints you are told by pt relations counselor "you can't control what anyone does here, but you have control of the tv, lights and beds" THAT IS COOPER!! read more

if i could give zero stars i would because the entire cooper medical intake schedule department doesn't give a f!@# about professiinalism common sense or doing there job they are great at a ramndom transfer to another intake idiot but never to the correct department....6 days trying to schedule 1 damn ultra sound ...i see why the rating is 2.8 all the locations are trash one just as ignorant as the and other i wish the same service they provide to their to them and their loved ones as well read more

I am currently on day 74 in cooper hospital! My child is in the NICU. The doctor has literally drew pictures to explain my son's surgery 2 times now. My nurses are great and they really show genuine care for my child. I heard this was a top spot for neonatal but to actually experience is great. I hear horror stories from my friends back home in Michigan and I am glad I didn't have to go through that. read more

I work for Virtua (rival hospital) ... Cooper took fabulous care of my father, who had heart surgery performed by Dr Frank Bowen III. The front desk staff in the O.R. waiting room kept us abreast of my dad's status while he was in surgery. The waiting room was a nice size with charging outlets, tvs and magazines. Restrooms were a stone's throw away. Whew! We had a pager until my dad was out of surgery, but before it even went off - staff informed us that my dad was done surgery and that his surgeon would be out shortly. Upon getting the fantastic news from Dr. Bowen, we ate at an on site restaurant - The Oasis - until we could go to the I.C.U. Pretty good food & prices. The I.C.U. nurses were superior (Selwa) - professional & patient with everyone, including my anxious, emotional butt. My dad only had positive & appreciative praise to sing about his ENTIRE experience. Other than superficial cosmetic items, this hospital is SUPERB (to my surprise & joy)! Virtua is more modern and grandiose but Cooper seemingly has a better staff (from my recent experience). Im ever-thankful!!!!! Was transferred from a hospital in South Jersey with the impression that after 2 years finally I will get help. Was told I have a room etc. Arrived at 8pm. Was place in what look like an office. 8 beds tucked in. The amount of extremely ill patients is appalling. Curtains is all you have for privacy. (Who cares about HIPA RIGHT)I was here for a very sensitive and private issue. But everyone knows now what's going on with me which was totally NOT embarrassing. I was dein the service requested and will be going back to were I came from cause you can't help me.. But the truly disgusting thing is how you bring patience that are extremely ill and screaming in pain and vomiting all over themselves back to a holding tank. For a hospital that boast about how you are the go to hospital in South Jersey I beg to different. If these patients where my family members I would be beside myself .This is cruel not to mention the whole back room smells god awful like vomit. ( Which the person can't control) This is horrible condition. The streets of Camden are cleaner. Learn compassion. Stop treating people like a number. Surgery hurts. Not everyone is drug seeking. Unfortunately I have been sick for 10 years first time here and last. I would rather go to a veterinarian office. WORSE experience ever. read more

I've only visited Cooper twice, once for my sister whom they discharged with double pneumonia and who almost died! Second visit was for my first cousin, whom, after spending a night and a morning, they decided they needed to transfer to University of Penn for the heart care he required (since they didn't have they abilities, skills, etc). Eight hours later he died before they moved him. The only treatment I witnessed was a doctor coming into his room, asking his name, then loudly yelling that name twice before the nurse explained that the patient was heavily sedated! This idiot had obviously not studied this patient's charts or condition before rolling in like gangbusters. He then proceeded to rapidly egress, his incompetence revealed! Hate that place! read more

What a wonderful hospital. My Sister had been in a rehab for months and was not getting any better. She was admitted to Cooper February 11th. I finally got to see her today and with the wonderful care she is doing good. I cannot say enough about about the Nurse, Aides and everyone I encountered wete so wonderful and caring. Total money grab. I have been a patient of MD Anderson at Cooper and needed a follow up mammogram but they would not write a script unless I went in for an office visit. Previously I went to Moorestown office where there was no FACILITIES fee (the amount no one seems to know). But now that office is closed and there are NO offices that they see patients at that they do not charge an extra couple of hundred dollars, just to walk in the door. Their advertisements say they are here for us but to me that just seems like they are only out for the dollars, not the health of the patients. Why should you have to pay a few hundred dollars just for an office visit? I will NEVER see a Cooper doctor again...#MoneyHungry read more

I have been in Cooper since 7/3/19. Here are the facts: 1 it took over 9 hours to get into a room (with the proper protocol for C. Difficile) 2 even though I told them my meds. They have altered them and don't give them in a timely manner which could cause me to go into withdrawal. I have only received my these meds on time 1 of the 6 days that I've been here. Also the dosage is 33% lower than I am prescribed 3 you have to call and order your own food. If you don't, you don't eat 4. The shower has been broken since I got here and floods the bathroom. I have complained about it every day and has yet to be addressed 5 The food sucks and food is cold when it should be hot 6 I believe the doctors and nurses all do their bets, but have too many patients and too much to do to get things done timely 7 Everything take much longer than it should. After 13 back surgeries in this hospital I've gotten to know the nursing team pretty well. On an 8 year journey at this point it's fair to say I've returned for far too many procedures for my back but i just love them so much I'll keep coming back again and again. The nurses on the surgery floor, used to be 2 more it's 3, are top notch. My friends on the 5th floor short procedure unit are wonderful as well. I think i get some pity bcuz I'm a frequent flyer but they always make sure I'm comfortable, warm enough, and have everything i need before they sneak me away and stick me with needles! Mercy in the procedure room is always ready with some fun back and forth banter. It makes me sad when the familiar faces of the old staff is moved to different departments but there is always joy in meeting new nurses to the floor and tormenting them with I'll be back :) But there is always the chance i run into an oldie but goodie nurse in the hallways like Leslie. She was and I'm sure still is the best, from pre-op to SPU. And the other half of the time i have to go to Voorhees but they have a wonderful staff over there too. read more
