It can be confusing but the parking is generally difficult to first time visitors. There are signs for the P1 lot when you are coming in, as well as the hospital. Once inside the lobby is very nice, welcoming and the staff will get visitors passes to where they go. The hospital has a charging station, a restaurant, a cafe, a cafeteria, a gift shop and is generally enjoyable for those visiting. The staff overall are very friendly and there is security to make it safe. The ER can be overwhelming and the waiting longer than most bc it is a thriving source of local care. I've seen some real sights but in the other ERs this is not the one for in and out visits. It's more for real emergencies and especially for Cancer care. Virtua Voorhees was great with in and out ER visits. Staff: The nurses I've had for my mom were overall all very attentive and pleasant. The transports could use a little more training for fall risk patients. The janitors really did scrub the rooms after patients left. Obviously you want to wash your hands, keep objects off the floor and scrub things clean when at home because of so many germs/illness. I've seen a lot of administrative managers check the facility for patient/visitors QC---good stuff. On the weekends, it's pretty difficult to have doctors that are doing rounds because it seems to kind of shut down. I had a weekend doctor talk to me completely unprofessional which was unfortunate to the ones who were so wonderful. I would recommend this for surgery, longer or serious issues but not something like feeling light headed or more simple.

They'd transferred me to Cooper after finding "a mass" that was keeping my liver from draining, and felt that Cooper was better equipped to handle it. The room was pleasant and the massaging bed was very comfy. Again, I had the window side of the room and had a nice view of the clouds above the massive building right across from me. The room was delightfully cold, perfect for sleeping, although my elderly roomie was cold and they kept bringing her more blankets. She arrived soon after I did, her daughter arrived about noon and turned on the TV and it was still on 24/7 as I left. Pillow speakers aren't all that quiet, so I had to wear my earplugs for most of my stay, even though Roomie slept 95% of the time. They had to hook me up to a new IV drip, and couldn't (by law) use the same set-up that Salem had left in my arm (which they'd installed on the first try, even though the nurse was apologizing for being out of practice), so had to poke around to find a new spot. Nobody has ever had trouble finding my veins. I understand that this is a teaching hospital, but after enduring a series of pinpricks that began to feel like successive bee stings, the students went for help. I'm okay helping them learn, but maybe they should have called it quits after five tries. They were very apologetic, and I was patient, but really wanted to shoo them away. The doctors, most of the time, travel in packs and are a very somber bunch. There were at least three "packs" of them visiting at one time or another, asking the same questions, and having me repeat back to them what I understood to be going on. The only doc with a sense of humor was the anesthesiologist on the ERCP team that installed the stent to drain the back-up in my liver. I had the impression that they thought I didn't understand the possible severity of the situation because I wasn't wringing my hands and begging them to save me. Sorry, but I'm not the hysterical type, like that helps. Although the biopsy results won't be back for a week, I kind of got the impression that they were already measuring me for my "chemotherapy suit". My follow-up appointment with the surgeon isn't for six weeks to "discuss results and stent removal". I don't know why so long but it works for me. After this experience, I'm doing everything I can to turn my diet and lifestyle 180º, and fix this thing starting by shrinking the "mass" at least by enough for them to notice and maybe slow down sharpening their scalpels. Yes, I'm one of "those" people who believe that (in most cases) our health is a direct result of our choices. I totally brought it on with my lousy diet/no exercise regimen and increasingly cynical outlook since moving to south Jersey (family reasons, not by choice) and it may not be easy, but I can fix it with the help of my own PCP, a DO, thank you very much. One of the things on Cooper's To-Do list for me was to make an appointment with another doctor in Cherry HIll "to establish a new PCP", even though I told everyone who asked who my doctor was. Why? I suppose they might not want someone who doesn't embrace the "all allopathic, all the time" doctrine putting silly ideas in my head, or encouraging any that are already there. This morning, while trying to register for their online records access, I found out that they'd never entered my social security number, and had to make two phone calls to get that fixed. Thank goodness, after they asked a bunch of questions, they believed it was me and didn't expect me to drive back up there to show them my SS card! The kicker? They released me yesterday afternoon with two prescriptions for antibiotics, which we stopped to have filled at Walmart in Pennsville, and the technician informed me that "this one's not yours". What? Sure enough, they had given me someone else's prescription for the same drug and dosage. This place makes you identify yourself, either by wristband scan or verbally, for everything from blood work to receiving your lunch, but they gave me someone else's prescription as I was leaving. I didn't look; what do I know about prescriptions? Lesson learned. That one took a phone call, three transfers, and about a 15 minute wait time to take care of. Thank godness (again), they're phoning it in to Walmart for me. It wasn't all bad, really. I appreciated being allowed to get out of bed at will, unplug my "six legged friend" (the IV tower) and make a bathroom run, and the staff was friendly and reasonably attentive, though they're very busy and I was non-priority, a very good thing to be in a hospital. The food, though a clear liquid diet, was tasty enough and satisfying for someone with little appetite. I have to go back at least one more time to have the stent removed or replaced but, in summary, would love for that to be the end of my association with Cooper.

What's education level of these people? What background do they have it just hired because of a certificate whatever happened to personality why shouldn't worms and empathy come through instead of just hiring someone who wants a paycheck I have heard on some of the groups around here for families of children who have addiction mental health and every single person says the place to not call is the crisis center because if your day is bad, they will make it worse and they will make it hopeless I can truly support that I called tonight. Spoke to this young lady gruff nasty disrespectful when I tried to tell her something no no no no no I want to know what happened today and as soon as I said no, what happened I said you don't get to talk to anyone like this she kept snapping and barking with me to demand to tell her what happened to today and wouldn't let me tell her what happened yesterday and she kept raising her voice with me and I think to myself God help a person who walks in there, suffering man to help this person will push them off the ledge There can be no place in mental health to ever have someone like this to interact with family members or for the patient who suffering mental mental health crisis. She's barbaric she's rude. She has no empathy whatsoever she's cold. She's unprofessional and I could go on and on and on, but I'm second that this facility would need to read this review to have noticed that this young lady should not be in this job what is wrong with making it a priority to hire people who have built-in skills of being empathetic of being present or being understanding or compassionate she has none of those qualities I ended up hanging up the phone on her. I couldn't take it anymore. Not tomorrow I'm going to go and post on all the different groups. Do not call the Cherry Hill crisis center and that's a sad thing because you know something look at how many vulnerable families you have in this county that now will not be calling this number where else to return For Help but at this point, not calling them is better than the option of calling them because you leave their hopeless de humiliate you you're so grossly disrespectful. I have never met more mean spirited people than I have in this facility. The only person I ever talked to there that was respectful. His name was Ted other than that I do not know where they get these people from to work in the Christ center. I see on my groups. People would say the worst mistake I made. I took my daughter to the crisis center after 5 my daughter wanted to leave and I hear over and over or they're rude cold, and insensitive. They have a nasty attitude to talk to you. no one smiles, no one songs empathetic it's an absolute fact, the sooner the shutter spray song I think meant healthcare would improve People are set with expectations and if the coldest place they'll get some support, don't ever think of getting it you will never get it never it's just not there and whoever's in leadership. The Bee these people reflect the standards that leadership sets for the rest of them because they must feel bold to be as rude and nasty and compassionate as they are. I wonder how many people called this place and ended up committing suicide. I would not be surprised at the numbers are up there. This is a shame it's a travesty. It's cruel just creates Mental Health Way beyond anyone calling there What would make you have a nasty personality and tell people to shut up and cut them off to talk and then you're supposed to take your loved ones there expecting that you're going to get mental health support you have to be out of your mind I'd rather take them to veterinarian into this place and I'm going to make this louder and louder and wider and wider for people to understand sometime they need to demand that this place be shut down or on the new management the final word it is a horrific place most insensitive you can call an animal shelter and you get people, a lot more sensitive than these people are and it's not just a One occasionally dear systemically consistently, rude, and nasty send these people are What is savagely missing in this place? Is that family member for calling in there are hurting for a loved one to mental illness but these barbarians treat you like you've committed a crime talk. Don't you shut you off when I think back of this woman today she deserved every insult that crossed my mind, but I was not going to come to her lower level no no no no no no what. Where does she get the right to talk to anyone like that at all and not have basic your basic 2.3 brain cells to understand family calling in there. Don't need to be Brad and put down an insulted and talk to like discard the children not family members of someone suffering Mental Health
