Have always enjoyed the ambience, the vibe and the food at Cooper's Hawk. Being a winery doesn't hurt either. They always have such a variety for every pallet from semi sweet to extra dry. Have only had an issue once with service and it was handled to my satisfaction. I enjoy the trio medallions or the pork chop when I desire to eat more. On the lighter side, I have fallen in love with the sausage and burrata flat bread, a delicate but flavorful bite. On this occasion, I grabbed a couple of friends and we participated in the 5K Wine Run. Oh what fun! I don't want to give away any spoilers but there is good wine included with your registration. Stay for brunch afterwards, but I encourage you to make a reservation. Although, it rained during the walk/run, it was warm and still made for a nice experience. Coppers Hawk Winery in New Lenox was surprisingly nice. I've heard good things about the establishment and decided to check them out! Upon arrival there was a wine bar for wine tasting along with the wine club membership. Pretty decor to match the winery scene. We was served about a fella named Nick. He was amazing. He was very professional and had great customer service. He made suggestions of his favorite foods and served our table gracefully. We order the chicken Madeira and The Prime. Both entrees were tasty and delicious. Not to mention lunch specials with entrees under $25 you just can't beat that! Along with our entrees we order the a red wine called scarlet. Was only my 2nd time at your establishment. My husband and I had dinner and shared a bottle of Riesling. Among other things, we were recommended to sign up for the "Wine Program". Haven't been to this restaurant in a while, but our Le Tip Group had its Christmas party there the other night. we started off with some romance red, which is a very sweet wine that nobody else seems to like except myself and my wife it has made there. It's one of their wines and then my wife had a piece of bass that they made special for her because it wasn't beef. The meal of the evening was supposed to be fillets. I had the fillets and they were terrific. They came with asparagus and some potatoes. They call Mary's potatoes and then they served a plate full of desserts. Everything was great. My wife loved her fish. I love the fillets and had enough for the next day for lunch so I got nothing bad to say the waitresses were lovely and everything was great. I have been here MANY times with our party of 6 or 8 and on a consistent basis there is always one order that is not made correctly on top of that expect a 2 hour plus dinner. Monday mid evening we were seated right away. It was a delightful time, the service was amazing and the food delicious. What's remarkable about this place is that you come here for the wine, but the food is stellar as well. We had steaks, calamari, eggrolls, and blueberry wine. The ambience was relaxing. I tried to change our reservation from 4 to 5 people, but the hostess said that was not possible unless we changed our seating to 7:30 there was nothing she could do!!! Service is Lwaha A1, I don't think I've ever had a bad experience . So elegant and classy. My go to will forever be the Drunken Shrimp. And this time I also ordered the bruschetta. I debated between 2-3 stars, but the service was good so I went for 3. Had dinner there with the family, it's really hit or miss at this location as I've been there many times. This time was a miss as the place was packed and very noisy. Tables of high schoolers giggled and were loud. The tortilla soup served with my soup and salad combo was absent any taste, it was like colored water. The server swapped it out for a different soup that was better. My wife had the ahi tuna entree but it wasn't prepared as she ordered and the tuna portion was very small compared to other locations. With tip, per person for a alcoholic beverage and an entree you'll pay about $35-45. Food selection: Large and varied Alcohol: Wine list is extensive Mixed drinks are numerous Beer menu is average to below average in choice selection Food All entrees were reported as delicious Portions were generous Cheeseburger: above average size at half pound and above average quality. Cheese selection was small at 3 or 4 choices and the side fries were average in taste and quantity. Better burgers found elsewhere. Choose an entree more in Coops wheelhouse. Salmon was cooked perfectly, sides of mash were excellent. Generous portion. Nicely done. Try this. Veggie enchilada was tasty and a solid choice Roasted chicken risotto: a bit runny/soggy in portions and a few hard rice pieces. Chicken meat was dark meat. Sweet and flavorful. Just don't be disappointed that it's not white meat. It works best with dark meat. Veggies in the risotto were tasty and numerous. The mushrooms were non existent however. Overall a 6/10 but hopefully it gets better and stays on the menu The service: greeted warmly and seated quickly. We had 430pm reservations on a Thursday. Place was over 50% full as we walked in and 90% full when we left at 6pm. I always do reservations as a rule. The server was kind, patient, informative and attentive. No issues there. Overall a solid experience every time we have eaten at a CH. City prices in the suburbs may make some go elsewhere or only go infrequently. Just as a restaurant has the right to charge what they wish, so does the customer has the choice to go there once a year or once a month. Try CH once and see what you think. Sunday 4/20 Ordered carry out through their website which was really convenient and easy. I set a pickup time but I got there early and had a cocktail at the bar while I waited. They had great music playing and the ambiance was perfect. I ordered the grapefruit vodka martini which was delightful. The service at the bar was great. I believe his name was Jay. He was attentive and so kind. I got the short ribs with mashed potatoes and veggies, a Caesar salad and the flourless chocolate cake. The short ribs are super tender and a big portion. I loved the green beans and carrots on the side as well as the potatoes which were also a generous portion. I wish there was a little more gravy or demi glace but that's just me.I love the pesto Caesar dressing - nice way to add a twist to a popular salad. My only gripe is there wasn't enough dressing for the whole salad so next time I know to ask for extra. All in all it was a great meal. I'll definitely be back for dinner. The carry-out service was really organized which I appreciated, the gentleman was handling the wine tasting at the counter also but I didn't have to wait to get my order. At a work lunch and everything was phenomenal!! We went to Coopers Hawk in New Lenox and we had a time! It's beautiful at this location. You walk in and it's the two sided wine tasting area. With plenty of gifts and Knick knacks. Our waitress was Ava and she was great very knowledgeable and put us on to the NightJar Sangria. Our food was great and so was our dessert. We had excellent service! I've been to Coopers Hawk in Orland Park a million times and it's always super crowded and noisy!! but the New Lenox location was quiet, spacious and a really good vibe!
