The cocktails are excellent! Super chill environment. Clear a Whiskey a margarita and smoked jalapeño margarita were delicious.

Two stars for a decent draft IPA. Getting the IPA, and any service at the counter at all, was slow, by a clueless, disconnected counter service person. Been traveling for two weeks and tipping 25%. Tipped 0%. Place was nearly empty on a day when the area's shops were busy. No surprise. Most tourist traps can find suckers du jour in the form of tourists (like us). This place seemed to have a hard time even doing that, and I fault myself for ignoring that fact. read more

We happened upon this bar after a trip to the hall of fame. Being a rainy afternoon in the off season, the town was very quiet and we couldn't pass this place by. The Cooperstown Distillery have done a great job with this store front/bar combination. It has a great aesthetic and relaxed atmosphere. They serve their own spirits, cocktails made with a variety of handmade syrups, and three taps of local beers. Not knowing what we were walking into, and being the afternoon, we got beers but if I'm ever in Cooperstown again I will definitely be back to try their cocktails. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable and did let us sample the bourbon, whiskey, and gin. All three were very good and we left with a bottle of the Bean ball bourbon, complex and smokey in character. This place was a great find amidst the thick of baseball souvenirs. read more

A great place to go and right in the middle of town! Serves all local Cooperstown Distillery spirits (which are great) and runs as a retail space in the day and bar at night. Cocktails are all handcrafted and taste delicious! Food is great too! Great atmosphere as well. read more

Loved this spot when we went last year. Can't wait to go back! They have a cool vibe and great atmosphere to enjoy a drink.

My husband I stopped by right as they were setting up the bar for the night. We didn't stay then but came back after we had dinner across the street. Man, the bartender here makes some awesome cocktails. I highly recommend it, the store and bar are a definite diamond in the rough in Cooperstown. Michelle makes the best Whiskey Sour! Great atmosphere, tasty drinks and charming staff!

I stopped by the Beverage Exchange the other day and it was definitely my favorite of everywhere I visited along Main Street. Most stores in downtown Cooperstown only focus on cheesy Baseball-themed shirts and merchandise, which are all low-quality and made in China, and over-priced hot dogs. However, this is one stop along Main Street that knows its audience but doesn't oversell in the slightest. They offer complimentary tastings of their spirits all day long, and I had the opportunity to try the gin, bourbon, and vodka. They were all excellent! The employees are very friendly and helpful and I was very impressed to know how knowledgeable they were about their products. An overall "must visit"!!! I hope to stop back sometime to visit their cocktail lounge! read more

Wow! Finally, Cooperstown has a beautiful and conveniently located place to stop in and get a cocktail. The spirits from Cooperstown Distillery are high quality and the signature cocktails are a perfect way to end a busy day in town. They also have a great selection of local wines and beers available to taste and purchase, and the staff was friendly and personable. The Cooperstown Beverage Exchange was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Cooperstown! read more

Very cool place. Great selection of LOCAL products (and the quality of the local booze is pretty darn great). Wonderful decor--love the tables and lighting. I was there with a pretty large group of tourism people and the owner was a great host. Clearly the crew is very knowledgeable. Sure a lot of the stuff is baseball themed (it is Cooperstown after all) but don't let that lead you to think the stuff is all hype directed to fans. The stuff is really first rate. read more

Yes, yes, yes! Best Whiskey Sours I've had in a long, long time. Free samples of their bourbon, whiskey, white whiskey (the best), vodka, and gin. I highly recommend taking full advantage of these because it's some of the best you'll find. If you enjoy alcohol even slightly, want to cool down, or just looking for some neat souvenirs to take home to friends this is a place you must stop in while visiting. read more
