    Pesto fries- delicious
    Danielle S.

Walked into the taproom and welcomed by the lady behind the bar- who started us off with getting our flights set up. We were sat towards the back in the clock room. Had some great smelling BBQ as we walked in! We ordered the pesto fries as a starter so we could have something to eat with the flight, best choice ever! I ordered the fish sandwich with coleslaw which was crispy and delicious. The coleslaw was like I've not had it before, so crunchy and delicious. Nice place for a Saturday lunch for sure.

We were seated straight away and in the back where there are all these clocks. It's a pretty funky room that we had all to ourselves. The service was immediate and we ordered some pesto fries for the table. They were amazing! Idk how I haven't had pesto fries before!!! I ordered the black angus burger with sweet potato tots. Omg, both the burger and tots were INCREDIBLE!!! I would go back just for the sweet potato tots alone!

Of all the places I visited to eat/drink in this town, this one was my favorite spot. We sat at the bar. Taps offered the local selections. We were lucky because they had just finished smoking their chicken wings. They do a dry rub, smoke, then grill after... they are the best wings I've ever had. It wasn't crowded. It seems that many of the diners were locals. There is limited seating inside when you walk in, but they have room for 30-40 people in the rear. There is also seating outside. We also had the NY Pastrami which was hand carved. It was excellent! The owner (who served us) is really down to earth and passionate about his bar/restaurant.

We were actually recommended to come have lunch here by Colin & Shon from @blackwhiskeyink. They were not lying when they said the food was good because it was delicious! And the Service was exceptional! I had the Smoked Gouda burger which was absolutely delish! We are from CA but we We're made to feel very welcomed. I had a margarita...yummy. And the Kyle's apple pie which was amazingly like drinking an apple pie! Yummy! Nice place for lunch you will not be disappointed. They have seating inside and out. A must visit if you are in the area!

Jalapeño Fried Pickles and Sweet Potato Fries w/Mango Wheat beers. Three great choices!

You'll miss it if you aren't careful! The sis he from the road isn't the best, but the turn in is definitely worth it! The stag was awesome! The manager was so talkative and kind and our server Kyle was really fun! We sat outside. I wish there were umbrellas on a couple of table to offer shade. This is my one star deduction. The patio has potential, but definitely needs work. We tried the mango wheat beer, it was tasty (But it warmed up to fast in the sun.) we also ordered the sweet potato fries and jalapeño fried pickles. Both were excellent. The fried pickles we not spicy, the dipping sauce had a little heat, but not much. The pickle spears were really well fried and we enjoyed the snacks. Council Rock is really off the beaten path, gravel lot, makeshift patio, but the quality is better than the ambiance. Give them a try when in Cooperstown!

    Fish fry Friday!

We had great food and great service! Our first time there was burgers which were amazing and this time was the fish fry which was perfect! Kyle is awesome of course! We will be back!

Hef they just put on 4/25/23, good!

3.5 stars... Drove a half an hour out of the way to make sure I hit up a local brew joint, and enjoyed it! Started with a hef, ate the pastrami, and finished with the Belgian blonde. Good meat, good bread, huge portion of fries, and good brew! Ambiance is barn brew house, service was hometown friendly, and prices were ok.

Came in with a big group and was well taken care of. Their French onion soup was *chefs kiss* Love the fleet idea for a beer flight (10 beers). Great for sharing. Get the burgers and garlic pesto fries/sweet potato t

I'm not much of a beer drinker, but my boyfriend is (I can always find something!) I do love stopping at Breweries as the atmosphere is usually pretty cool and the food is good as well. Council Rock Brewery did not disappoint. We were the first customers of the day (they open at noon). We were able to sit outside at one of the 2 picnic tables they have. Beer was good, and I was able to find a Blood Orange Cider that was pretty good too! We had to order food (NYS per our Gov) and it was tasty as well. I'd visit here again for sure!

We also know great service when we see it and always love to give credit where it's deserved! We called ahead with a large team of about 30 people and were told they could get us in. When we arrived, they were very transparent that they were working with a small crew, just two girls out front and one guy in the kitchen. With a group our size, we were a little nervous at first, but we had absolutely nothing to worry about! Zoey was our server and she was amazing. She handled our entire group with so much grace and professionalism. She kept everything organized, made sure the kids' food went in first, stayed on top of drinks and orders, and somehow managed to get all 30 of us taken care of and on our way in great time. The bartender was also incredibly nice and helpful, and together they kept everything running smoothly despite being short-staffed. The food did not disappoint either! The Reuben, burger, and Reuben burger were all fantastic, and of course the boys loved the wings and boneless wings. If you're visiting Cooperstown or heading to the Baseball Hall of Fame, definitely make Cooley's Stone House Tavern one of your stops. Great food, great service, and a hardworking staff that made sure we were taken care of. We'll definitely be back!

Forgot to upgrade chips to fries. Waitress a little harried. The BIG pretzel came out same time as sandwiches. And unstopped it all off with a couple of beers. Just one size glass. The waitress didn't quite get out attempt at humor.
