Nice vibe and atmosphere but the customer service needs some revamping... both at Ty Taco Rias and the bar.

From the exceptional beer and great food to the…read morevariety of activities and the stunning property, Brewery Ommegang is a destination that every beer lover should experience. If you're visiting the Cooperstown area or anywhere in upstate New York, this is an absolute must-see. We've been coming here for years, and every visit reminds us why it's one of our favorite breweries. The staff is always professional, friendly, and attentive, making the experience enjoyable from the moment you arrive. We live in Texas and were in Cooperstown for a baseball tournament, which gave us another excuse to stop by. I had enjoyed Ommegang's Belgian-style beers for years, but this visit gave me the opportunity to explore more of their lineup. I was impressed by the variety of styles available, and everything I sampled was exceptionally well crafted. The food was excellent as well. The poutine was a standout and tasted every bit as authentic as the poutine I've enjoyed in Canada. It's not always easy to find great food at a brewery, but Ommegang delivers on both fronts. The setting is truly remarkable. Located on a 140-acre former hop farm just outside Cooperstown, the property feels more like a Belgian monastery than a brewery. The beautiful buildings, open spaces, and wooded surroundings create an experience that is worth the trip all by itself. The grounds are impeccably maintained and provide a perfect backdrop for enjoying a pint. Having been open since 1997, it's clear that Brewery Ommegang has had decades to refine both its beer and its operation. Everything feels polished, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. Hands down, this is one of the coolest breweries I have ever visited. Great beer, excellent food, fun activities, beautiful scenery, and outstanding service make Brewery Ommegang a place that we look forward to returning to every time we're in the area.

I went inside to order a drink and some food and was passed by twice before the woman said she'd be with me. Another younger girl came over and asked if I wanted to order something. Odd questions since I'd been standing there looking at the menu that was on the bar as well as looking at the beers they had listed on the board. I ordered a wheat blonde beer and told her I also wanted to place a food order. She told me I couldn't do that there, and said I needed to order from the food truck table. That table had a chalkboard with their three specials, different items than the bar menu so I ordered off of that, was given a pager and headed outside (The food truck girl was very kind and asked where I was sitting but I hadn't picked a table yet) I ordered a cauliflower margarita pizza which was just the right size to pair with my beer. It came out quick and hot and tasted good. I sat at my table eating alone and enjoying the music but found that that's what everyone was doing. Sitting at their own tables. Enjoying the music or conversing amongst themselves but keeping to themselves. For a brewery with live music on a sunny Saturday afternoon it was just ok.

I had the following: - habanero pork taco - cod taco - fried pickles - cauliflower wings (mild and Korean bbq) Every single thing listed was probably some of the most incredible food I've ever had. I was genuinely surprised this random brewing in the side of a mountain really nailed the beauty of Asian flavoring. I'd highly recommend. It was great for our large party of 9 and being able to order at the bar was easy. Staff was very swift too.

The brewery has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere with plenty of seating. It was busy for a weekday evening but not overcrowded, and we were able to grab seats at the bar. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel right at home. The beer selection was excellent with a wide variety of styles to choose from. The flight was a great value, and the pours were surprisingly generous. We especially enjoyed the American Amber Ale, but there were several other standouts, including the New England IPA. If you're a craft beer fan, you'll have no trouble finding something you like. The biggest surprise of the evening was the pizza from the food truck outside. It was outstanding. I've had pizza all over the country, and this was honestly some of the best I've ever had. The crust, sauce, and toppings were all spot on. The two guys running the pizza truck were incredibly friendly, and it's easy to see they take pride in what they do. After enjoying some great beer and incredible pizza, we spent some time playing cornhole and just relaxing. The brewery also has a nice gift shop with bottled beers and souvenirs if you're looking to take something home. If you're visiting Cooperstown, especially for a baseball tournament, Cooperstown Brewery is absolutely worth a stop. Great craft beer, amazing pizza, friendly people, and a laid-back atmosphere make it an easy recommendation. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town.

The brewery itself is so pretty! The bartender was very nice and she gave us great suggestions, as we'd never been there before. I opted for the sour they had on draft (I believe it was Forbidden Fruit) and my boyfriend had a few different kinds, the Devil's Path and Grass Wagon being two of them. We purchased a t shirt, a glass, and a tap handle for our home collection. We had a packed itinerary for the day, but this was directly in our sights so we had to stop in. Just up the road from the main drag through Livingston Manor, it's got a working-farm vibe with updated and sleek equipment. There was no hesitation from the bartender to fold us right into the action, and I'm not a painter, but it was really fun for me to step outside my comfort zone and get crafty while enjoying the company of some really cool people. We had our complimentary pour along with the paint and sip price, and I remember the Oktoberfest (fiance got the sour) being a great, hearty, fall classic that set the tone for the rest of our busy day. They have a nice selection of gear at their gift shop, and their logo'd brown striped retro beanie is on my head as we speak; it's my favorite winter hat. I rarely buy merch while on vacation, for a variety of reasons, but the price was right on most of their items out for display.

I truly enjoyed my Prime Rib Melt, I feel that it's one of the best sandwiches I ever tasted. The bun was soft but crunchy on the inside as it was toasted! It was delicious! I would've liked to see more of that garlic sauce on the fries though, most of the sauce was on the bottom. And no complaints on the burger. My only reason for giving 4 stars was because we went at a slow hour yet it was hard to get anyone's attention. The servers crowded up by a table together and waited for customers to come in. It got busy quick though and that's when we got their attention. I'd definitely go back though.
