Delicious pizza! Crust is unique and super good. Ordered a pepperoni and mushroom 14" pizza - the pepperoni was not your usual pepperoni that Domino's or Pizza Hut uses. It was almost like Canadian bacon, to me. Very good. The breadsticks are great, too. Lightly baked and buttered. And I loved how they served the side salad with spinach and romaine greens instead of iceberg lettuce. This is the BEST pizza place in Salina. I have never had a bad experience dining at Coops, and their selection of pizza's and calzone is wide enough to take care of any size appetite. The supreme is the king, of course, loaded with everything. But they take just as much care with the simple favorites of pepperoni and italian sausage. And their calzones are just as awesome as their pizza pies. The Greek Salad is a real treat, as well. But the service, with family-style waitressing that makes you immediately feel like you've been coming there for years, is what really puts the icing on the cake. When we walked in the poor cashier was not only fielding take out calls but also running the cash register, and seating and waiting on people. They had only one chef in the back trying to crank out orders and a restaurant full of people with no food. Thankfully they called Coop in and he showed up to save the day. My daughter's chicken Alfredo pasta was really good and the breadsticks were out of this world. My girlfriend said her pasta it was good too. My son and I split a cheese pizza and it was okay. If you want atmosphere this is not the place for you and I felt like the prices were a bit on the steep side, especially for the pizza. My family and I drive back and forth from Missouri to Colorado every year. Needless to say, the stretch of I-70 going across Kansas isn't exactly littered with great food places. Promised my husband pizza after a day of traveling. Got to Coop's and Holly greeted us. She is super fantastic. Ordered the Greek salad, cheese bread and the meatarian. Everything was fresh and tasted wonderful. We watched the pizza dough get hand tossed. The crust was nice and crispy. This is a small 12 or so table restaurant so they treat everyone like family. What great surprise in Salina KS!! Some of the best pizza I have ever eaten in my life. I ordered the lunch special which was a 6" pizza, salad and a drink. Their house Greek dressing is homemade and went well with all the topping that came on he salad. What a hidden little gem. Where do I begin, this was our first time ordering from Coops. We ordered two pizzas and wings over the phone. Patiently waited an hour and a half for our pickup. Upon arrival, one of our pizzas wasn't on the order because "they didn't hear it" I understand mistakes happen, but the lack of accountability and responsibility on Coops end was extremely disappointing. On top of this, while our forgotten pizza was being made, our other pizza and wings were being left to get cold. After nearly two and half hours, we finally arrived home with are pizzas, only to be disappointed. Pizza was lackluster, tasted like a frozen pizza tbh. While they did give us one of our pizzas free, it was not the one they forgot to make. These positive reviews are quite misleading. For the wait, price, and disorganization, the pizza was NOT worth it. There is so much I can't put into this review due to lack of space. Please do better Coops. Sadly, I am always wrong. :( Nothing really wrong with their pizza, but it's not my favorite . I don't care for their sauce, and the crust was so-so. What saved my order was the wonderful potato salad. Super delicious, made with sour cream, I believe and I didn't see any eggs, which is huge plus for me! The meatball sandwich was really really tasty, small but really wonderful. So, my plans for a week's worth of food didn't work out. The tables were dirty, there was stuff floating in our drinks, doors were open to the nasty kitchen, but what set us off was when one of the employees rolled a mop bucket past us, on carpet, and spilt it right by our table. Went there for the first time about a month ago. Place was almost empty and surprisingly small. The staff was friendly and attentive. The pizza is definitely different from the usual Salina fare. They offer a wide variety of specialty pizzas and don't skimp on the toppings or cheese, though it was a bit greasy and expensive. The place was not very clean and could use some decor.
