The paperwork that I submit for him is irrefutable and have opened doors for him to get the support he needs. The location is very nice and, of course, kid-friendly. My copay was over $700, however, I still say it was the best $700 I ever spent. I had one weird moment when I was leaving the office and an employee jumped in front of me and blurted out that my insurance hasn't paid yet. It was very odd, embarrassing, and uncomfortable. Still worth the money. My lower score is because their follow through and support after the diagnosis is awful. After your diagnosis if they're over the age of 5, they send you out the door and you have to figure the rest out on your own. I called them twice after his diagnosis and both times they refused to help me. They were nice about it, but they wouldn't help. My insurance required validation from the psychologist and they refused to call them. So now my son can't get ABA therapy that they said he needs. Its very frustrating.

I would give ZERO stars if I could. I would absolutely NEVER recommend this practice based on the…read moreoffice staff. The issue is not with the providers. Sadly, poor, disorganized office staff can really, really ruin an experience. One of my children has gone to Devereux since 2019, so we have a long standing relationship with them. It has come to the point where I can no longer be patient with or compassionate towards their lacking. They have been doing business for long enough that they should have figured things out by now. At first, when we went to their Mesa location they were clearly understaffed, but it was fine. However, with the closing of the Mesa office, things haver really gone downhill. In short, is difficult to make appointments with them and they will cancel your appointment without notice. Their billing is disorganized and the patients are blamed for the lacking of the business. Lack of taking responsibility is a gaslighting tool and in a company that masquerades as behavioral health, they should be aware of this and better about taking responsibility. You have to communicate with them on a level that is not fair to expect of a normal, working human, let alone one with a family member who needs behavioral healthcare. The nitty gritty of my frustrations come down to two incidences that ultimately set the stage for this review. We were charged for appointments that did not happen in 2020 (due to the office being closed due to the pandemic-did we really have to cancel appointments when their office was closed?). We had an appointment scheduled a couple of months out and made family travel plans around it. They canceled this appointment and I am beyond upset about it. This canceled appointment is the straw that broke the camel's back for me. Making doctor appointments is difficult enough, driving an hour for doctor appointments and figuring out how to fit that in a schedule when you care for 7 other humans is difficult. Having to deal with an incompetent, money grubbing office staff is more than anyone should have to do. The bill in question has been paid, though I still feel we have been dishonestly charged and I am done. I have a deep amount of compassion for the medical profession. They, like the rest of the world have experienced a great amount of trauma over the past few years. My sister is a physician's assistant, my brother is a doctor, I am related to several other medical professionals. It is not an easy world. However, based on my experiences, I cannot in good faith recommend this practice. This is a real bummer as my child needs care, but the hoops we have to jump through only increase their anxiety and make the issues worse. I will not be taking any of my family members back, unless I have a confirmation that things have changed dramatically AND I cannot in good faith recommend it as a safe place for any other person looking for behavioral healthcare. Find a different practice. It is worth the headache.
