Thanks to the wonderful speech therapists she was able to tell me it was because her hair was, "too big". We have been coming here for over a year and everyone from the office staff to the therapists have always been fantastic and we have seen great improvements in both areas since she began therapy here. The physical therapy team outstanding, the nurses aids or the CNA's down to the housekeeping crew we're incredible. They kept that place immaculate. Although the nurses are overworked, they need a raise and they need to have a one nurse per hallway!!!!! then it will run so much smoother for the nurses. The nurses worked their buns off! and I am so appreciative of that and I am so grateful! I cannot tell you how pleasantly surprised I was of how great this place was!, the people that lived there and that were in my same situation were awesome. My room was lovely. I overlooked a fountain and had lots of sunlight and I had my own bathroom. My roommate was incredible Patricia. She's a 93-year-old blind woman who is the most interesting person. She was awesome, again the place was fantastically clean! It looks a little old older, but it makes up for everything of how great the nurses are and the care is, it was great. The food was great. They even have an area outside where they had a big barbecue and we had hamburgers and hotdog for everyone and they have tons and tons of activities. If that's what your people are into, they had games they had workouts. It was incredible. I can't say enough good things and I'm only in my 50s and I was so surprised but so grateful! I also did have a loved one who stayed there and she had a good experience there too!, so take it from me, I was just there the last day of February 2026 for an entire month until April and I cannot say enough good things about this place! As a healthcare professional, it's a shameful disgrace the way staff are treating human beings. Our facility just received a new resident from there and let me tell you how awful he arrived. He appears to be neglect; he had no pants on and was literally full off crap, hair oily, face dirty, clothes were dirty. Overall if you want the bare minimal care this is the place for you. But if you want the care that you or your loved deserves look elsewhere.

He was frequently called the cutest old man and told he had a great smile from multiple staff. There were wait times for certain treatments, but the staff was busy. The treatment was great, but what impressed me more was how my mom was treated. The job of the staff is to take care of my dad. But they were so incredibly caring towards my mom and family. Big shout out to Alexia. She comforted my mom all the time with words and hugs. When he passed, so many staff went out their way to hug my mom. Not generic "sorry for loss," but with love and tears in their eyes too. They took a horrible time for our family, made it just a little bit easier knowing we could trust them with my precious dad's care.

I would not recommend this facility. The response time for the call button for anything my mom needed was between 10-25 minutes, IF anyone ever came to help. The facility left a wheelchair in her room and allowed my mom to use it to wheel herself, unassisted, into the bathroom when she needed assistance with a walker to get strength in her leg after a hip surgery. I requested it be removed so my mom would have to use the walker to strengthen her leg and the wheelchair was never got removed. My mother could have been seriously injured. She said she needed to do it herself because no one ever came after she would click the assistance button. This is unacceptable for a "rehabilitation facility" and I use that term loosely. My mother is diabetic and I told 3 different people this information, including the social services dept., her direct nurse and the liaison before we arrived. She was given sugary food the entire time and high carb meals. We had to beg for a shower for her when she arrived and the employee that cared at all to ever help my mom was Susie, an aide. The nurses never smiled and spent more time joking and laughing at the nurses station than they did assisting patients. On any given visit when I arrived, there would be several (more than 5 lights lit up) patients needing assistance. Additionally, they were NEVER quiet at the station, even late into the night. The overall morale from the good employees was obviously very bad due to work load. We were told by one of these good employees that showers for patients are put off until she arrives. Upon leaving, I had to ask several times to get help getting her to the car, when Susie (the best employee there) offered to help. She was awesome. The other staff - AWFUL. In fact, when I left, paperwork with HIPPA info was inadvertently included in my mom's discharge papers. Wow. Do NOT allow your loved ones to be left alone at this facility. One reviewer said an investigation needs to be done on this place and I AGREE 100%.

I spent several years looking for a long term facility for her because I didn't want to be caught off guard if something happened and she needed placed. I didn't want this important decision made in haste. After visiting more than a dozen facilities in the valley I selected Pacifica. I tell you the background because I have read several reviews not all good about the facility and I feel it's important give perspective. In addition to my research and visiting the facilities around the valley, my father was in three different facilities before he passed. What I have learned and I believe families should be aware is no place is going to feel perfect. No place is going to be as good as your loved one with normal health or brain function and living in their own home. So it's important to look for a partner in your care. I am beyond grateful that I found Pacifica. Although it's only 4 min from my house I would not have known about it without Care Patrol who let me know they had Alzheimer's cottages. From the first visit I felt heard, understood and respected. When we have had what I call "growing pains" them learning my mom, them learning my expectations and me learning their abilities and goals for mom, the executive director and departmental directors have had their doors wide open. When there have been challenges there has been a very lovely word - "yes" that they use in order to make sure we find a way to make the situation better. I love that my mom still has dignity and privacy in the cottage. I love that the little things to make her room a home have been met with a yes. I think the cottage based system should be the future for Alzheimer's. I have not seen a cognition based system implemented as well as it is here. My mom is very high functioning and so are the peers in her cottage. But I have the peace of mind knowing when she does need more help or loses her ability to communicate etc that there is a place for her on the same property in another cottage. The care he received here was unbelievable. From smiling Victoria at reception to every single nurse, doctor, PCT, therapist and pharmacist the kindness and expertise was unbeatable.
